Wasn't planning coming to this location, as it was changed to this a day and a half before pick up. Employee arrived early so we could get the truck back in time for the movers.Jason R.
Being a military member with a specialization in logistics, I find it concerning that I was charged an additional two days that I did not require the equipment. Under department of transportation regulations, even commercial truckers are allowed to travel 8 hours in a day before taking a required half hour break. If I make a hotel reservation for four days, but cancel two of those days, I am typically not charged so long as I provide at least 24 hours notice of my reservation change. https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/hours-service/summary-hours-service-regulations#:~:text=14%2DHour%20Limit,extend%20the%2014%2Dhour%20period. Under this basis, the time extent of my trip was at most 11 hours. This was not satisfactory - no one should be charged for a service/days that equipment was not actually used. While most Uhaul users are not commercial truckers, Uhaul should conform it's equipment usage rates based on DOT guidelines, not arbitrary assessments. The way I see it, I turned in a piece of equipment that could be turned around sooner for the next customer, and in essence, help Uhaul make additional profit.Chris S.
No one was there at 2:30 pm. That would not have been an issue, except for the web site for return was acting up and wouldn't process the return. I called the branch back in Clifton Park, and they recorded the return. That was good work on their part. JNJames N.

I was not happy when I received a call the afternoon before my move to tell me the truck I researched at the Victor, NY location was not available because it was returned with a flat tire! However, they found a truck at the Gibbs Ave location. This set my schedule back by an hour! I asked is someone could bring the truck to the Victor location but was told that was not possible. I feel that the truck should have been made available at the location from which I reserved the truck. Joyce at the Gibbs Ave location was wonderful.Joan S.

1. Hours - facility closed at 2pm on a Thursday. 2. Location - location was different than originally communicated, significantly further from my home. 3. Need to communicate to bring heavy material to weight the trailer at the time of pickup. Not safe to drive empty.Kimberly W.

U-Haul ruined my entire move less than 24 hours before it was to take place. The pain and suffering U-Haul caused me with their lies and deception should be illegal. Everyone along the way at pickup and drop off was kind and helpful, they didn't cause the problems, but U-Haul themselves screwed me royally and were uncaring and did nothing to help me but force me to bend to their will. I will never be a U-Haul customer again, and will actively campaign against them to my family and friends.Jeffrey G.
has nothing to do with the location, but when returning after hours using the website I had to restart the process at least 10 times because of supposed memory issues related to the pictures. I had 5G and full bars, it seems like an website issue.Tyler R.

Joyce @ Gibbs St. provided us with a truck that had a severely underinflated right rear inner tire (10 psi) and whose companion outer tire had cracking and underinflation damage. After asking what the proper psi should be, she indicated 37 front and 40 rear on the 15 ft. truck. She said she had just filled them up and confirmed that the tires were inflated to those specs. THEY WERE NOT! When asking what the trailer tire pressure should be, she replied that she didn't know, but hit them with a metal rod, and that they were "good and firm." She took great pains to see that it's all up to me -- NOT what we would expect for a $3,300 2,625 mile cross country trip. Also, the pigtail 4-pin connector was damaged such that the trailer lights did not work reliably. We were so concerned that we stopped @ the Downs St. Erie, PA location where Clifton readjusted all tire pressure and provided outstanding interaction and service with nothing to gain! Of note is that the cab of this particular truck leaks severely on both seats during heavy rain.Claire A.

Renting a moving van with bald tires is not a good business practice. The right rear tires were well past the wear bars and severely UNDER INFLATED. By 30 psi!!!!! Both of them!!!!! And the right rear taillight was completely inoperative. No running light or brake and turn. The trailer or auto transport didn't have brake or turn signals!!! All 4 tires were also severely UNDER INFLATED by 20psi!!!!!! Great inspection team you have in Rochester NY. I've been a service technician in the automotive field for over 30 years, never have I seen such shoddy PDI anywhere. Never again will I use U-Haul.anthony G.

Hire more employees of the same caliber as Mrs. Preston. She was efficient, friendly, understood and responded to customer needs, was very detailed oriented procedurally and went, "above and beyond," to provide excellent customer service and positive experience for me, and in all her customer interactions which I observed,, both on the phone and in person. Mrs. Preston's knowledge, efficiency and positive attitude are the reason why I used this U-Haul site for the 2nd time in shortly over one month and she is the sole reason I will refer ALL my friends and relatives to this site.robert M.

The counter person was fabulous. Cheerful, strong customer service. If I had my choice I would also go there. The biggest problem was I had reserved a furniture dolly and she informed me that she didn't have one. So I had to waste an extra hour hunting one down. The AP and the online system should give proper inventory info to the purchaser who makes plans. I had a full day scheduled and that threw a wrench into my plans.Andrew P.

I was guaranteed and confirmed a 26' truck a few days prior to my departure. 1 day before I was supposed to pick up the truck I was told the 26' truck was not available and was told a 20' truck would be available a day after I was supposed to pick it up which didn't impact my schedule too much. I went to pick up the truck at 8am when it was promised and 30 minutes later they told me the truck was not available and I would need to drive another 30 minutes to another location to get the truck. I was finally able to get the truck around 10am. This was no fault of the personnel at Gibbsâ€¦they were extremely great!christopher H.

reserving a truck through your website was an absolute nightmare! Trying to plan for pick up and call location to confirm to find out reservation hasn't been "confirmed" and location hasn't been assigned? Get location assigned (25 minutes from original) only for Uhaul to change pick up time from 12pm to 12am?? Gibbs staff was wonderful and accommodated our requests. However, I will never recommend Uhaul to family/friends especially if only option is booking online. Schedule directly with providers if able to!Christopher D.

The one person there was very kind and good at her job. The truck needed cleaning. Windshield very dirty. A drink container was left in the door panel, dusty dashboard. The ride was noisy and I felt every bump in the road. Do more maintaining the trucks in good condition. Keep a staff of two people in the office, not one.Joyce B.

after having an absolutely appalling and atrocious experience at the henrietta location, customer service located me a truck when my reservation and move was in jeopardy due to the truck I reserved from henrietta not being returned. the truck they located was at gibbs street and joyce was an absolute angel. she was so nice, prompt, knowledge and apologetic for a the debacle in henrietta (a mistake that wasn't hers).
