Worst experience I had with u-haul , from the start I notice the truck not driving well and 3 times the truck stop and won't start back up because of that I waste a day .

Peter BaiettoWhen we arrived the person in charged of receiving the trailer was very rude and started to yell at my sister. At that moment I approached him and told him to calm down, that we were here to drop off a trailer. He unhooked the trailer push it out of the way into a trailer parking spot but let it drop on to the ground as if he didn’t care for the equipment. I then said to him be careful because there was no damage and his carelessness can cause damage. I was not going to pay for damages I didn’t cause. He then walk away without saying a word.

azogini arinzeNo person at location at 9:00, phone number on door was not working, told to go to second location ( address was a residential house) lost 1 hour of time ( cost $50 for two workers) being paid . Was told my credit card didn’t have to be with driver on arrival. Driver had to then supply his credit card. I called the main number to discuss all this with management, was told someone would call me( nobody ever did). Please call 516 503 9010 Howard

SOFIA MATAUpon driving to drop off my rental truck to the drop off location I saw the gate closing. I stopped in front of the gate and waited, then the gate opened again. I then proceeded to enter and tried to park the truck where the rest of the other uhaul trucks were parked, when suddenly an old men started screaming at me "yo! What do you think you are doing!?". Then he approached the passenger door and attempted to open it; it was locked. I unlocked the door and he proceeded to repeat the same question in a very nasty, umpolite, impertinent, and aggressive manner. I answered him, I'm returning my truck. With the same attitude he said "you are not supposed to en enter just because the gate is open", to which I replied, if the gate closed in front of me, and then it openes, providing there are no signs to park the trucks outside, the only logical thing to do is to go ahead and drive pass the gate in the direction where the rest of the uhaul trucks are parked. He then repeated the same question to which I proceeded to ignore realizing there was no point in arguing. I walked to the office. When I was about to enter I heard "Hey what did you do to this truck?!?! the bumper is busted " (same nasty attitude). I answered, the bumper was busted when I rented it (I had proof of that). I went inside the office, the gentleman behind the counter asked me what do I need. I told him I'm dropping off a truck and I also commented that the guy he has working outside has an attitude. He seemed to be annoyed by my comment and ignored it. I will NOT recommend this place to any one. Poor customer service. The type that makes you not want to work with uhaul anymore.

SOFIA MATAThe person at the counter was very nice and helpful. The issue was when I got to my house and opened the back of the truck it smelled so bad I had to wear a mask when working back there. Smelled like cat throw up and piss. It also travelled onto my stuff the smell and made the overall experience terrible. Also I had flush a roach down my toilet as he was in the truck and he hopped onto one of my dressers.

henry FigueroaCommunicate better that the truck that's was supposed to be rented is not available and a larger one is being substituted along with the change in cost. The truck itself was also not a good driving experience. Suspension need work, the steering wheel would shake love every bump, manual roll down windows, no ability to plug in charge cord for cell phone. Also that you cannot rent the truck for 24 hours and have to take it for 48. The web site does not display that info when looking at renting doubling the cost of what you expect to pay. Very disappointed for the expensive cost for the rental. I will not be using your company again after this experience.

carlos floresThis is was the worst experience of my life. I hadn’t rented a trailer before and I was very exited but ended up frustrated. First of all, the person who answers the phone has no social skills. He was rude, uninterested, and while I was explaining what was needed he was telling me to rush and tell him quickly. Then the guy who gave me the uhaul car carrier was poorly dressed and more rude than the one on the phone. They’re not willing to explain the details and treat the customer in a condescending manner. In addition, the lot is crowded and there’s not. Enough space to turn or move the truck. I will never return nor will I recommended this place to anyone. Customers are treated like second class citizens.

Russell AlexanderHowever I originally used the mobile app to pick up a van at the stop and fuel location on sunrise highway where the utmost unprofessional and disrespectful hateful attendant was unwilling to assist me stating that the boss was not there and he didn’t know where the keys for the van was located. This gas station is obviously not about customer service which is what Uhaul is all about I wouldn’t recommend anyone to ever rent from this location again. The attendant has this “I hate America attitude and look on his face for which he should go back to where he came from “ .?after walking 2 miles to pick up the van which was not available I then decided to call customer service which was a wild goose transfer to transfer case for at least 45 minutes no one could help me with the mobile app reservation and finally went to the storage facility on fifth Avenue bayshore where I got The Best professional service and No Hassel smooth Transfer .My Time was wasted and I should immediately be refunded my reservation fee for this experience from stop and fuel idiots!
Nasean HammondsThe pick-up site is also a storage facility and is cramped and crowded. The office is tiny and you may have to wait outside if two or more customers are inside before you. Othe than that the experience was good and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Erick GuerraMy rental was returned to the wrong location by the previous customer (I believe in Smithtown) and they had to bring it to me which caused me to be late to make a pick up. I was promised an extra 50 miles added to my account from Ryan or Bryan (it wasn't clear) from the Smithtown location. I should have had 103 miles and I used 63. I want the charge on my account reversed and I would like for this store to call me to explain why they didn't execute the promise of the extra miles.
