Good afternoon. I am following up with your customer service department regarding the following concerns experienced with the U-haul 20 foot truck rental: 1. The car tow dolly had to be replaced during the trip because the rear driver's side tail light fell off. It was duct taped by the Frederick pickup location. We were told it would be fine. We were sent initially to a bogus address and then sent to another address to get the tow dolly replacement. We were routed an hour out of our way and had to drive the vehicle being towed. Thank heavens we had an extra driver. 2. Two tires needed to be replaced. We waited over 2 hours (with a 14-month old child) along a busy highway for a service/repair employee to replace both tires. (Please see poor condition of tires in attached photos). 3. The blind spot mirror fell off during the trip. (Huge safety issue) 4. As a result of the combined delays, we missed the window to cancel our hotel in Nebraska and were charged for the room. I am requesting you waive the rental charge or offer a significant rate reduction. Realizing there is always a potential for equipment problems, I believe our issues far exceeded that which one should experience. I would prefer not to dispute the charge on my credit card, contact the Better Business Bureau or provide a negative review. I would prefer to provide a review that reads that while there were problems, U-Haul stood by the customer and made things right. I look forward to hearing from you.Melinda G.

Gentlemen has such a strong accent, when I called about return time on my rental. He told me 8 PM. Then when I showed up to return my rental I could not understand what he was trying to tell me regarding my extra charges. However, a UHaul rep via telephone was able to explain to me what he was trying to tell me. Thanks for your help.MICHAEL A.
The truck we had selected on the app (26ft) was not the truck we received (20ft). Owner at the shop made us change the location of our drop off. Owner did not check/walk around the truck with us or give us any directions on what we should be doing on the app. The trucks alignment was super bad! Very unprofessional and disorganized environment. We will not be renting from U-Haul again.Mallorie W.
The online rental process was easy however I feel I was overcharged. I rented at 8pm one night and returned at 11 am the next morning. I was charged for two days rental and insurance but did not have the truck for 24 hours. In addition, I tapped off gas tank using 6 gallons during this gas shortage but only drove 25 miles. Very disappointed. Will not recommend UHUAL.Steve W.

They charge me $8.50 for fuel charge, even though I returned the truck with more gas than they originally gave it to me. Is not that the $8.50 is going to brake me, but the principal. I feel cheated and the FACT that I gave them more gas and was charge is not right. I hope no one else is goi g through the same thing.DENIS C.

When I made the appointment I was told the cost would be 19.95 plus 1.29 per miles. The gentleman was trying to charge me for gas. I did not receive a bill. He said he could not access Uhaul with his phone. Your system was down. I would never use that location again. Very disappointed with the service. I dont know what is my cost for using the truck.LEROY C.

Did online check in to save time. Got to location and clerk wasn't even logged in or ready even though he knew I was due at 8 to pickup. Stood there while he tried to enter information and I had to tell him 3 times I wasn't renting a truck it is a car dolly. Then he called someone and found out he was trying to enter the wrong information as it is a dolly like I said. Then he didn't even know if he had it on his lot. When I got there it was 8am and when I finally got to hook up to dolly it was 8:35 and when I was able to leave the lot it was 8:45. It put me behind as I thought by doing the online check in it was to save you time. Clerk was nice but didn't oboe what he was doing.Leon P.
Apparently a new site, but the proprietor didn't know the difference between a truck and a trailer. Didn't know I had ordered pads, then gave me the wrong number. Was incapable of nor did he provide any assistance with trailer hook up or inspection at time of pick up. I would have done better with a self-service location.Brett H.
This was the worst experience I've had with uhaul. I received a dirty truck that had been used for trash, and the cargo area smelled horrible! The vendor showed up 45 minutes AFTER my pick up time and gave me a dirty truck. I was so pissed. That location should not be used as a pick up location any longer! Just a horrible experience all around.Michael C.

The clerk at the store knew nothing about how to use the uhaul system. The clerk also had me upload my license 5 times when I had previously uploaded my license the day before. Also knew nothing about the trailer or how to hook it up. Thankfully I've been hauling trailers since I could drive and was able to get the trailer hooked up no problem. Anyone that is renting u hauls should be familiar with both the trucks and the trailers. If it had been anyone that didn't know how to hook a trailer up to a pick up truck, there could have been serious issues.Nicholas L.
We were charged for safe move and we had declined it. Attendant would remove it. Also Truck leaked like a sieve. We had to bring numerous blankets for the move which were soaked. Furniture also wet.Eric C.
