I called the 1-800 customer service number and requested assistance with receiving credit for mileage approximately 60-80 that I travelled as a result of the original location not having the equipment. I was hung up on and they did not return my call. I need a supervisor to assist as I was charged an additional fee of $90.29 which overdrew my bank accountTISHA H.

Their computer kept giving them an error message. My husband had to get somebody on the phone and we had to have them call the regional office to get things straightened out. It took us an hour to get the truck.Anthony C.
I hooked up the first trailer by myself in the rain, then when checking the lights realized the trailer wiring harness was missing a prong and I had no turn signal. So I went back in and was advised to try a different trailer so I unhooked the first and hooked up 2nd. As I'm checking everything I realize the door does not latch on the second trailer and I can't risk having my stuff get stolen or loose on the interstate, so I end up unhooking and hooking up a 3rd trailer- all of this in the rain, with no help.Chad R.

Location is a liquor store with one on-duty clerk. Vehicles are parked in a gravel lot next to / behind the store. It was self service as far as picking up the trailer (which had a lot of dirt on the inside), and dropping off the trailer (difficult to move the trailer in the gravel once detached). Trailer was left clean.Donald R.
When I picked up the truck he just basically handed me the keys and paperwork and that was it, when I returned the truck I made sure to put the gas gauge back to where it showed on the paperwork even tho it wasn't there when I picked the truck up. I was hoping to drop it off at another location but was told it would double the price. Overall I am happy that I am done moving and glad I don't need to rent a u-haul again. Poorly ran location took entirely to long to get checked out and had to hook up trailer myself and had to make sure tires had air and lights worked which 2 of them did not and the roof of it leaked water inside and got our belongings wetROBERT B.

I reserved a furniture dolly along with the trailer, but when i picked up there was no dolly. This created a delay of more than an hour in beginning my move, as I had to drive to a Home Depot to rent a dolly. If you don't have the reserved equipment, you should notify the customer 24 hours in advance, so other arrangements can be made. This was a major inconvenience, and I may never rent from U Haul again because of it.Christopher W.

I expected a 6Ã-12 trailor would have a 6ft. gate on it. The attendant where I picked it up didn't have a clue about the trailor. The trailor itself was clean and worked beautifully. I was picking up a 61" lawn mower and had to remove the mower deck to use the trailor. Made the job alot longer than it should have. GraciasRobert S.
Tried to use the app to document the beer bottle caps and the smell of cigarettes when I first got the truck, but when I tried to leave a description and photo, the app malfunctioned and wouldn't allow my camera to take a photo. This also happened when I tried to claim undocumented damage on the front passenger side. Seems like it could be a way to keep me from documenting up front so that they can charge me later. it took 30-45 mins for us to pick up our reserved truck, then we found out that he was having us return it to a different location when when we picked up the truck it was supposed to have 1/4 tank of gas, it was near empty. after driving it for 30 miles the truck broke down on the highway. We spent a half hour trying to get online or someone live on the phone. then another hour and a half waiting for roadside assistance. Once they arrived and looked under the hood they wanted us to attempt to put antifreeze in at and limp it off the highway, with a broken radiator, we refused so a tow truck was called. we completed the paperwork and left the keys in the truck based on instructions provided. This was not our previous experience, however, we never should've been give that truck. then to follow up, my card was overcharged and there is an outstanding balance. I attempted to contact customer service to resolve the billing issues only to find out that the system was down, I waited an hour and 45 mins, called back and the system was still down. I requested a call back when the system was up. I was placed on hold for a good 5 mins, looping through the ivr and listening to the messages there. the agent came back on the phone and informed me that the regional manager James Harris would call me back when the systems were upnichole S.

The issue I had was not this location's fault. I was supposed to pick up a 26' truck and auto transport in Newport News, VA on the 28th. Very long story short, I had to pick up both separately over an hour away in Richmond the day prior. The locations did not have all of the dolleys, furniture pads, or mattress covers that I had originally paid for either. I had to pay for mattress covers again because the service representative "could not find it". I had to drive hundreds of miles further to make my trip and had to pick up the truck and transport at different locations. I was given a few extra days on the auto transport but not the truck; what good does that do me? I had to return the truck on the 1st but transport on the 4th; I can't move the transport without the truck!! I didn't need more days, I respectfully asked for a discount because of all the troubles I had to go through and all the extra miles. My one reservation was treated like two; the service representatives did not seem to understand that I needed both the truck AND the transport together. AWFUL experience with UHaul and I still believe I deserve compensation returned.James M.
