Tried to use the app to document the beer bottle caps and the smell of cigarettes when I first got the truck, but when I tried to leave a description and photo, the app malfunctioned and wouldn’t allow my camera to take a photo. This also happened when I tried to claim undocumented damage on the front passenger side. Seems like it could be a way to keep me from documenting up front so that they can charge me later. My stars will definitely drop of that is the case.

The pickup location, time frame and size of the trailer were all changed without notifying us. It took an hour of talking to 4-5 different employees to fix the issue.

This place is slightly below average in appearance. I think the average woman would be very uncomfortable here. They sell drug paraphernalia in the store and it is a rather grungy location.

it took 30-45 mins for us to pick up our reserved truck, then we found out that he was having us return it to a different location when when we picked up the truck it was supposed to have 1/4 tank of gas, it was near empty. after driving it for 30 miles the truck broke down on the highway. We spent a half hour trying to get online or someone live on the phone. then another hour and a half waiting for roadside assistance. Once they arrived and looked under the hood they wanted us to attempt to put antifreeze in at and limp it off the highway, with a broken radiator, we refused so a tow truck was called. we completed the paperwork and left the keys in the truck based on instructions provided. This was not our previous experience, however, we never should've been give that truck. then to follow up, my card was overcharged and there is an outstanding balance. I attempted to contact customer service to resolve the billing issues only to find out that the system was down, I waited an hour and 45 mins, called back and the system was still down. I requested a call back when the system was up. I was placed on hold for a good 5 mins, looping through the ivr and listening to the messages there. the agent came back on the phone and informed me that the regional manager James Harris would call me back when the systems were up

If it was close to where they lived! It was 40 miles from where I had requested! That’s unacceptable. Having an hour and a half delay because of location is not a good business practice

The issue I had was not this location's fault. I was supposed to pick up a 26' truck and auto transport in Newport News, VA on the 28th. Very long story short, I had to pick up both separately over an hour away in Richmond the day prior. The locations did not have all of the dolleys, furniture pads, or mattress covers that I had originally paid for either. I had to pay for mattress covers again because the service representative "could not find it". I had to drive hundreds of miles further to make my trip and had to pick up the truck and transport at different locations. I was given a few extra days on the auto transport but not the truck; what good does that do me? I had to return the truck on the 1st but transport on the 4th; I can't move the transport without the truck!! I didn't need more days, I respectfully asked for a discount because of all the troubles I had to go through and all the extra miles. My one reservation was treated like two; the service representatives did not seem to understand that I needed both the truck AND the transport together. AWFUL experience with UHaul and I still believe I deserve compensation returned.

The trailer we had reserved three days prior was not at the location we had set. We did not receive a followup call stating the equipment was or was not available. we were forced to go to two separate locations after arriving at the reserved location. As we were on a schedule, this was very inconvenient. I called U-Haul to put in a customer dispute and receive the advertised $50 credit given when equipment is not available at the reserved location. I was redirected four times, then told I could not put in my dispute until the trailer had been processed. It took three days to process our equipment return. I have still not received my Credit.

Having the equipment ready is one way to start. He at first only brought out the large dolly and I had to ask him for the other equipment I purchased and then The guy tried to rip me off by shorting me 10 blankets. It took a really long time and this was not the place I picked originally this was 30 min out of my way and I was not compensated for the extra miles.

Online said you could check the electrical hook up. I was met by a single convenient store cashier who knew nothing about that and didn’t have the ability to check for me. Whole thing felt sketchy. He had me write down all my info on a ripped piece of blank printer paper.

1. The online check did not work. 2. The store sells bongs, glass pipes alcohol, counterfeit nfl gear. It’s not appropriate for I haul. 3. I was charged 18 dollars of gas for a 9 mile rental

We had requested a different location but were sent to this one by a Uhaul agent. We were told we would get 25 free miles for switching locations as it was way out of our way. Our rental was supposed to be picked up at 8:00am. When we arrived the store was closed. We called Uhaul who could do nothing. The store worked arrived at 8:15. The store was a run down convenience store. He would not honor the 25 free miles. It took four phone calls and we eventually had to just take his offer which was a reduced mileage rate. We ended up losing money because the reduced rate did not calculate to the same price as 25 free miles would have been. Uhaul did offer us a gift certificate for next time but it will only $25 which is less than it costs to drive 25 miles. The truck though was in great shape and ran nicely. We returned it early and the man working that afternoon was pleasant. We won't though ever rent from that location again.

Great location however the lot could stand to be paved or at least leveled. The area where the trucks are kept is muddy and crowded and way close to the road and traffic.

Redirected to this location by Uhaul for a pickup. Uhaul / convenience store location. If would like to buy drug paraphernalia or pornography while you are waiting to up your truck or trailer I would recommend this fine establishment.

I called this location and spoke to the gentleman (right before I left my house to return the trailer) to make sure that they were open and would still be when I got there. They stated that they closed at 10pm. I arrived at the location around 9:30pm and it was closed and locked up and I could not return the trailer. Extremely inconvenient and frustrating, especially when I called 30 minutes prior to confirm their hours.

The person at the counter was very nice and did a good job. There was no one to tell me where to leave the trailer, help to take it off my car.

The guy that checked me in kept stopping helping me to wait on convince store customers so I was there for 45 minutes trying to pick up my reserved truck. The truck only had 1/4 tank of gas in it and the guy was talking to me about where I was going. He said to be sure to fill the tank up or I might run out of gas on the trip from Mechanicsville to VA Beach. I put over $125 of gas into the truck because he told me I would run out before my destination. It took barely over 1/4 tank of gas to get there so U-Haul got $75 of gas off me because of his lies. The front end of the truck was all over the place if you went over 50 MPH so the interstate traffic going 70 MPH was not polite to our poking along. The inside of the cab was dirty and had trash in it we had to clean out. U=Haul wants to do the right thing they would refund me at least $75.00 The site I rented from should not be permitted to be a U-Haul site as U-Haul customers are pushed aside and treated like dirt and lied to! The place I returned it to was a U-Haul only site and they said to take the survey and let U-Haul know to see what they would do. So I'm doing what they said...lets see if U-haul responds.

Gas prices for uhaul to top off tanks are excessive!!!. Drove from norfolk to Richmond and added $25,00 for gas. At checkin I was told tank was still 1/4 low and fee would be $ 36.00. Took truck out and topped for and additional $ 22.50. Almost $ 50.00 in gas to go from Norfolk to Richmond? About 100 miles. MPG on trucks (15') seems pretty poor.

Reserved / Ordered Truck w/Appliance Dolly and 3dz blankets. When I went to pick-up at this location: - Poor customer service - Cargo area of truck was dirty and had not been swept out - Both seals on dolly and blanket bag in cargo area were broken or missing - Location had only 5 blankets (even though they told me there were 6 in the plastic bag given to me). Clerk recommended I travel 20 minutes to Richmond to pick up extra blankets if I really needed them. - Wipers were broken and barely worked - tried to use them when it stormed. - Projected 30 miles of use in lieu of the 36 actual miles traveled which I drove to get more blankets so I could execute my move and was then charged the extra mileage for doing so!!!
