Shop u-haul here with confidence! I picked them since had the best local reviews, and indeed the process was as smooth I could imagine. Minimal waits, lots of inventory to pick from, clean vehicle, and reasonable gas on-site. Easy location to drive to and from, too. From all the u-haul experiences I've ever had, this is by far the best.

Hi. I left my wallet in the uhaul truck when dropping it off. I called the next morning and the person who answered the phone (I believe Mark) said the teuck5was just rented out and that they left. He said he'll call them. He returned to me and said the person with the truck was driving and would check later. He said he'll call me back but I never heard from him again. Recently an attempt was made to purchase something on a card that was in my wallet. Luckily I had already closed all my cards. I dont feel this location was honest or diligent with my wallet.

The van was not clean in the inside. Specifically, there was something spilled on the cup holder area. On the other hand, the service was friendly and the check-out and check-in were seamless.

This site is not very inviting. The outside at the drop off seemed to be a little disorganize but when the guy finally came outside to check the trailer he got me checked out quickly and was courteous.

The truck was dirty and smelled as if it was used for the Dumps. There were flyers in the door and edge cream on the dash. The location and workers were helpful and good.

The rental truck smelled like urine. There was a coconut air freshener in there that tried to cover teh smell. It was disgusting!!!

15 ft" truck that I have, Wasn't use truck it was abused truck lol very old truck I drove like 90 miles Was praying to not broke down .But is great Location great friendly people , Was 3th times I used the same location

There’s nowhere to park your own car! There was one man inside waiting on about 6 to 7 people while I was trying to get my rental. They did not pull the rental out for me either. This is also a diesel fuel center, so many big rigs and Amazon Prime vans kept coming in and out, thus blocking access to pull out or go anywhere! I will never use this location again, ever!

This location service was excellent - given that they have a lot of activity - U-Haul, fuel, propane, a good size store and probably others activity I’m not aware of. It’s a well maintained yard with plenty of traffic. I would have liked to get gas too but there were a number of commercial vehicles filling up. My difficulty was NOT KNOWING if I was going to be able to get my rental trailer although it was booked far in advance at another location. The location for pickup was switched twice within a couple of days. I felt lucky to get one in the end and thought it could have gone horribly wrong if I had not been aggressive in following up. Can’t blame anyone- since the system is dependent on equipment being returned when expected - which doesn’t always happen.

don't change the pickup location at the last minute, ESPECIALLY if i'm to get a truck AND a trailer, and you tell me the equipment is in a new location MUCH further away than the original, and when i get there i find out ONLY the trailer is there, that the truck is at the original location, now i have my car and a trailer, but no truck to tow them???!? so now i have to pay for a taxi to take me to the original location to get the truck?!?! also i paid for blankets but got none.

The employee did not like the time I was going to return so he hung up on me. Then manager called me back and informed me I would be charged double the rate because I kept the trailer a day longer.

good morning I wanted to start by saying that I’m giving a poor rating NOT FOR THE Catalina U-Haul pick up location in san leandro ...I’m giving a poor or unsatisfactory rating for the Alameda U-Haul location I had rented a 15 foot truck almost a month ago and at least A number of times checked in to make sure that the truck and the rental was good to go for the date . I needed to pick up for my medical mission supplies , I even asked customer service if I could pick up the truck the night before so that I would not have to do a 5 AM pick up but customer service said that they did not have a truck available for the night before therefore the morning of at 4:45 almost close to 5 o’clock I was at the location in Alameda and there was no one there to help except the 24 hour phone service which was kind enough to say that my truck was not available. it had not been replaced and there was not one available when there were six vehicles in the lot possibly for someone else and for 45 minutes in the cold we waited while customer service was looking to see where the next closest location was for me to do a pick up and the first suggestion was candlestick which is two hours away in Monday morning traffic. CSR had no clue for me to drive two hours to San Francisco and back to San Leandro to pick up medical supplies and drive back to San Francisco airport for our medical mission U-Haul thought that it was best if I go to San Francisco. luckily they were able to find one in San Leandro at Catalina Avenue and they were very gracious and helpful and accommodating our need for the medical mission I feel U-Haul should compensate us as the medical mission and not charge for the inconvenience and for not having a vehicle ready to go because we almost missed our flight . i and the team wasting close to an hour and a half if someone from U-Haul could contact me if a manager or someone in management can contact me you can do so my rental number is as such. Clean the trucks so the customer doesn’t have to do it I rented two trucks there recently and both were filthy I had to take them home and clean them myself before I use them.

my last experience in 2017 here was terrific - both picking up and returning. great customer service, friendly, i really appreciated them. this time, the customer service was terrible. the gentleman helped me slowly, then helped other customers (on the phone and in person) before sending anyone out to hook up my trailer. i was there for 30 minutes. so disappointing.

Improve or either remove the option to pick up the vehicle utilizing my phone. It is the second time that I have rented a vehicle from uhaul with this feature only to show up and be told that the equipment was not set up with this and to go inside for assistance. The reservation process is misleading.

Fix the automated/mobile device app. It's very buggy as is and also shows poor design and workflow choices. It looks like it was put together by a team that lacked anyone with a computer science background to set strategy and with developers with limited experience making real-world apps.

Don't send customers out with equipment that is not road ready. My tow trailer was missing a tail light and there was no replacement. I drove 1700+ miles with only one tail light.
