When the agent went over what extras I wanted in the contract, he put the insurance on when I very carefully told him I didn't want to have it in the contract. When I received the contract in my text messages, the insurance had been added. When I asked if the rental was for a day or the 2 hours that I said it would probably take, he said yes. But then when I was leaving he said I had to have the truck back by 6 pm. The agent was very hard to understand and I won't recommend that site to anyone.Bonnie T.

The van was clean and check in was very easy. It was impossible to get anyone to answer the phone prior to my reservation. I wanted to know if the van would fit my queen size bed and all my boxes. I returned it late - 2 hours after my contract hours and I was charge for another day! The guy told me if I had called and let them know that I was late they wouldn't have charged me extra. Call who or where when there's no one to pick the phone? The phone number on the website for that location doesn't even ring. I think it's fair to charge me 2 extra hours, but another day??? That's too much!! I tried to save money renting U-Haul and moving on my own but I ended up paying the price to hire a moving company. I'm very unsatisfied. I reserved a 15' truck and when I arrived I was told there weren't any. My only option was a 22' truck. This is a very large truck for a woman to drive plus it is not what I reserved. I saw a 15' truck on the lot and the man told me it was for someone else. I will never go to this location again. Also my movers that I hired through Uhajl were awful! They just threw things in the truck and many of my things are broken.Karen C.
I booked a 12X6 utility trailer the night before I needed it online and received a confirmation. I showed up to pick it up the next day at the scheduled time and I was told they didn't have it. I was told I needed to travel to an alternate location 15 minutes in the opposite direction from my destination.. The manager at the Clearwater location stated that I was called earlier in the morning but I only had calls labeled "potential Spam" on my phone and no voicemail. When I asked about the guarantee that the trailer would be there according to the confirmation he did not provide any information. Overall Clearwater Manager was friendly, but not helpful with alternate options. Gentleman at second location on Tampa Road was very helpful and efficient and I was on my way quickly. Overall the trailer not being where it was supposed to be caused a major inconvenience and a significant delay in the job I needed to complete. When the technology fails and you don't have what you say you have, where it is supposed to be, communication needs to be much better. I appreciated the professionalism and knowledge of the gentleman on Tampa road and would consider going to him directly for my future rental needs.Timothy P.

We've been going to the store since before we could even drive and we love supporting small businesses although all the U-Haul equipment was clean and tidy the Rental process was very stressful and nobody seems to be well educated any ins and outs of U-Haul we asked numerous questions to make sure we knew what we would be charged and the first problem started when we rented the U-Haul and they immediately charged my bank card even when I asked numerous times if I could pay cash that was in my hand and they said that I could when I picked up but unfortunately I had to sweat my card for the system then upon drop off we waited for about 30 minutes while the man in the store rang up everybody else but us our son just got out of school and was hungry and needed to get home so I asked the man working if we could leave or there was anything else I needed to do he informed me that everything would be fine and I would only be charged the 99 cents a mile for what was used upon receiving my receipt I was charged almost $60 for gas and $89 for miles when we got the U-Haul the gas was incorrect to what they had stated as well as the mileage I went back inside to let them know and they said that they would note it when we picked up but that wasn't noted because we got charged for the previous peoples infractions. I called the store afterwards to see if they could fix it or if there was anything they could do since they had overcharged me and they just kept hanging up or telling me that I had to call the next morning and see what they could do I am really hoping that you all takes responsibility and fixing this problem since moving is already stressful I'm sure you understand being charged over $60 more for a service was definitely a shock.Crystal H.
