The facility personnel offered limited support simply directing us to use our phone; this added stress as a first time user. Phone App was significant and as a first time user added time to getting the unit out the door & safely returned. The remote review was also cumbersome and the added back & forth could have been quickly resolved had a conversation been occurring.

We were told the place of return was MacArthur Boulevard in pocasset, MA. When we got there, the location was permanently closed. We had to backtrack to return to another location. It would have been nice to get correct location to begin with

Here, you have a problem. The manager seem to know nothing about returning U-Haul trucks. Maybe I missed something, but the whole return process was a problem. Ultimately, I called your callback helpline, and the woman who called, Kay, was very helpful and solve the problem.

renting online was glitchy the server was sluggish and slow and timed out on both the ap and the web site several times and I had to start over. This is a step in the right direction however being able to do it all via the ap.

The key box was difficult to open. The knob was very hard to move, and I wasn't even sure that was how to open the box! A little sign would help, and maybe some grip tape on it. It was wet and slippery too. A man came to help me but couldn't open it either. My son finally was able to do it.

The lockbox was stuck and took me a while to get it out, you should replace it. I rate the whole experience VERY POOR, the website was down and took me more than an hour to do the check in and finally get the truck.

Terrible experience picking up the truck. When we went inside to speak with someone about the truck, he said he had nothing to do with the rentals, that "everything" was done over the internet. My wife spent much time on the internet reserving the truck, making sure that when we arrived everything would go smoothly. Her very last message online from u-haul said "just go into Family Foods and the person would set us up with the truck and that we could even discuss with him options- like needing the truck fod another day. WRONG!!! Luckily there was 2 of us there to straighten things out, one talking to a very kind and helpful u-haul rep on the phone, the other on the internet re-registering for the truck. It was a terrible experience! And then when we finally got the correct numbers to unlock to key box, (after 45 minutes), the key box would not open. Finally the manager of the store came out and had to pry open the key box with a screwdriver! What kid ot operation is this?? It will be a long time before we use u-haul again.

The truck was not in drivable condition. They didn’t offer me a replacement. After a wasted day and losing money money on lost wages, setting up dog sitting, etc. They offered me a measly credit of $50 to go towards another truck rental. Very disappointing.

Tried using app for pick up and drop off. Does not work!!! Needed Wi-Fi. Went into store. No Wi-Fi. Eventually just took truck with managers ok. Not using app. Returned it early and just put keys in box. The whole app process is a complete failure!!

I had a lot of challenges with the app. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was supposed to have been provided a code to access a lock box containing the key. I had to call to get the code. Then when returning when I tried to submit photo of mileage the app kept sending me back to main menus. After several tries it finally worked but was not smooth.

Truck was dirty, the login system to get access to the key lock box didn't work and the guy in the store couldn't help either. No furniture pads available - although I had ordered and pre-paid for them online. This is not okay, that I had not been informed ahead of time there wouldn't be furniture pads.

Need to guarantee that what you show on your website (availability) is what the customer will get. Uhaul messed up my reservation and I had to select another date to get the location I chose. I talked to a lady in Hyannis who had a real attitude problem. Perhaps UHaul (or her personally) doesn't seem to understand that when people book a pickup location, that location is where they expect to "pickup" the truck, NOT fifteen miles away (and an extra $45 in mileage fees and fuel costs. Someone needs to have a talk with her ... someone at UHaul needs to fix their website so that it shows only the equipment AVAILABLE at a particular location. Also, your verification (checking where one works ... and second "reference" is very juvenile - outright insulting. She had a smug attitude about "this" as well. "Call corporate and they'll tell you (me) the same thing (as her)"

The experience was a disaster. Over an hour to access the website. Website did not accept my username or password after numerous tries. I eventually receive help from a customer service representatives Two very irate movers that were with me and very upset due to the length of time it took to rent this truck and obtain key in lock box. It cost me $75.00 ( $37.50 per mover per hour) who waited for me to access key for truck. At the end another customer service rep had to give me access code to open lock box for truck key. I truly feel I deserve a refund for this terrible experience or at least $75 for the movers who did nothing but sit and wait for me to obtain truck.

It took us an hour and a half to gtet the key for the truck from the key lock box. We did not have the code and multiple calls to Uhaul customer service proved Apparently, we had not clicked 'Get the truck' after doing all the sign in and paying for the rental. However, we were told to go into the site and start over, and over, and over. This went on for over an hour! TOLTALLY unhelpful. My wife was in tears with frustration as we had movers coming soon. Finally, the Uhaul location in Hyannis, MA was helpful and apparently called someone at Uhaul who gave the code. WHY COULD THIS NOT BE DONE MUCH EARLIER????? It was Hyannis that helped us and not customer service...Horrible experience.

Mike was amazing. Once again our UHaul truck return link didn't work and Mike was able to process our return. I have no idea what I would have done if I tried to return this truck to an after hours site with no support staff. UHaul needs to get their technology up to speed if they expect consumers to participate in "self serve" rentals.

The drop off location was fine but the issue was after my original issue with no truck available Sherri moved my location to a much more convenient location. I went to drop it off and the location agreed upon and then get a "drop off" charge of $285 dollars. To say this has been a frustrating experience with the reservations all around in an understatement.

I have Verizon service which usually has the best coverage. I couldn't get the app to work behind the building where the rentals are. After going through the process 5 times on my phone with long delays and eventually getting kicked off, I had to drive across the street to use the wifi at Dunkin Donuts while my husband followed the instructions there. I had to accept the pictures and cleanliness sight unseen because it didn't work near the truck. In the meantime I called the 800# for help but waited on hold for the entire time until suddenly I was disconnected. When we finally got the truck we tried to open the back to check, and couldn't get it open. At long last we figured out that a button was pushed inside that locked the back. With no help available, it was a very frustrating experience. I'll never elect to do a before hours pick up. Later when I tried to add a driver to my reservation, once again couldn't figure out a way to do it online, and called 800#, waited on hold 30 minutes, then got disconnected again. Finally got the driver added through chat. Overall very frustrating.
