Had truck reserved 3.5 weeks before needed truck. A weekday at that. Two days before pick up of the truck, uhaul calls and says I can not get truck at designated pickup or dropped off at designated site. They said I would have to pick up and return the truck in a different city. City was approximately 28 miles from my origanal pick up reservation. This was horrible for a. move ing experience. They really didn’t care what so ever. It made no difference that you make a reservation. I would say to all those needing to rent a truck, choose a different company than U Haul! You definitely cannot rely on their services or professionalism! You will save yourself a big headache!! I will do everything I can to let people know the horrible experience we have had. Wether it’s FB, radio, what ever is possible to just get the word out that U Haul gave us only hours of notification changing our so called confirmed by email, reserved designated pick up and drop off of their truck rental service. It stinks!!

When I was doing the mobile pick up, the app kept saying I lost service. I had full bars but it refused to reload. I would have to completely close the app and reopen, sometimes kicking me to the next step without being able to submit a picture of the gas/mileage and such. otherwise the process took about 30 minutes

This was my first time using a u haul trailer. If I didn't bring help I would have struggled to get the trailer hitched up alone. Maybe they should come out, make sure your hooked up properly and ready to go, before you're turned loose

Our reservation was made on a Thursday Nov.14th for a specific location. We received a call stating that we were going to be moved to a different location on Wednesday Nov. 20th due to unavailability. We were already in route to pick the trailer up on Saturday Nov. 23rd when we received yet another call rerouting us way out of our way. Again, due to unavailability. When arriving at that location, they were not prepared and were having computer issues which they blamed U-Haul servers for. We were at this location for at least a half hour. So, not only are we late to our destination because of being rerouted but, we were inconvenienced with another half hour of wasted time. We will never use your services again or recommend you to anyone.

An issue with the turn signal on the trailer occurred after about 200 miles - but it seemed ok when trailer was picked up. Not sure there's anything that can be done about that! What you could do, however, is not charge an outrageous amount for trailers! The charge for the exact same trailer in the reversed direction (WI to OK instead of OK to WI) was double the price!! $605 seems really excessive.

I rented a truck because the trailer onsite was too short for my load. The truck showed that the opening to the inside box was 5’7” high x 5’11” wide, and my load 5’-6 1/2” tall, leaving only 1/2” to work with. I drove 133 miles round trip, only to find out that there is a raised lip on the deck, plus the door hangs down a little as well, thereby preventing me to be able to load my box into the truck box. I had to drive to another U-Haul and rent a 6’ x 12’ trailer to load and deliver my RV Windshield to Two Rivers WI from Camping World In Saukville, WI. The money I spent, over &100.00 on the truck, was wasted as I could have used my truck to pull the trailer. Very Unhappy that the information on the brochure at the U-Haul office did not state that the opening would only be that size if someone else holds the door all the way back.

I was sent a message that my uhaul was upgraded to a 20ft rather than a 10ft. I called Ron and he switched me back to a 10ft immediately with no question as I was not comfortable with such a large vehicle. Pickup was fast and efficient. Kind and professional

Don't waste time with online ordering. Uhaul website will take your reservation then you receive a phone call saying we don't have what you reserved at the location you chose but you can have this other truck you don't want at this other location that you don't want. Local store was helpful.

Location and equipment fine but your app and website are useless. App did not recognize this order and website kept switching to Spanish then skipped over telling me how to get key (was a pickup and drop-off on Sunday) such that I had to be on the phone more than 30 minutes to get the pickup straightened out. When returning your useless webpage would not let me indicate there was no damage. Your IT people have a lot of work to do.........

The 26' uhaul truck ran well, no engine or truck problems for whole distance of about 700 miles. But, the A/C unit in the truck didn't work properly, didn't cool, and the drive was in 80 plus degree heat. Not comfortable. And, the radio was rather suspect, took some 30 minutes to get it to work.

First and foremost I want to say I have no problem with ANY of the local locations we dealt with. All of the locals went out of their way to help us with any issues we had. The problem we had was with corporate. My daughter was moving out of state about 180 miles away. We reserved a U-Haul 2 months in advance. The morning before the move we got an email from the district manager saying it was a busy moving weekend but they would try an accommodate everyone as best as possible. About an hour later we got an email stating we were guaranteed a truck but our pickup location had moved an hour away and our pickup time was 8 hours later. Not great news but we would work with it. I decided to call that location to confirm. They told me they had no trucks available for us. We then called U-Haul directly. They began searching for a truck. We were in a small town but we had Chicago an hour away, Madison an hour away and Milwaukee 2 hours away. None of those cities had trucks. The closest truck available was 3 ½ hours away. There concession was $100 off our bill of $450 and 150 extra miles. I guess my biggest complaint is that U-Haul sent us emails stating they were GUARANTEEING us a vehicle at specific locations when there are no vehicles there. Moving is stressful enough. The one thing I wasn’t worried about was the truck because we had ours reserved. Or so I thought.

The vehicle smelled like smoke really bad. This was not Fallier's fault this was the person who rented the truck prior. They sprayed the truck for us but I think it should be policy of U-Hauls to not allow smoking like car rental companies and if the customer does a fee/fine will be imposed.
