Very nice and understanding! They couldn't help me with the situation I was in but they did everything they could to help

Chris W.Owner of this location was stellar. Before my arrival a severe thunder and lighting storm passed through the area which shut down the internet for all local area businesses. I traveled to NC to purchase a car from a personal owner and needed a car dolly to transport home. I had no prior reservation for the car dolly. Owner just used his cell phone to conduct the transaction without skipping a beat. I was in an out in all of 10 minutes. Others may complain of the look of the store/gas station, however, I found it quite quaint and reminiscent of a bygone era where the emphasis was on customer service rather than shinny and useless accouterments and manicured concrete. Cashier was very courteous and greeted all who entered in a pleasant manner. The owner should be commended for his customer service skills, as well as his employees, operating under not ideal and sudden circumstances. It was a pleasure to conduct business with this store.
Patrick F.Representative was friendly but I was charged for a Dolly that I reserved but did not come included and I was told I would not be charged for it. However, in my bill it is charged. I hope to get a refund for the dolly. The representative told me I would not be charged.

Kristina H.First of all, this location is a gas station / convenience store. I was left with a strong impression that the U-Haul portion of the business is an after-thought, at best. Parking for trailer drop-off was not readily available. I had to move a couple of other trailers by hand in order to create a space to back in the rented trailer. Further more, I received a bill for $124 for 4-day late turn-in. In FACT, I turned the trailer in after 32 HOURS of the initial rental (less than 2 of the allocated 4 days). I speculate the receiving location did not process the paperwork for 6 days AFTER turn-in. My advice if returning equipment in Wilmington, it would serve you well to return equipment to the larger single-business U-Haul location on Market St.

Eric T.Moving blankets were soaking wet. Uhaul was not clean - cab was covered in dog hair and smelled like urine. Gas level on contract was a quarter tank higher than the gas level in the truck.
Athena K.The location was fine. UHaul however gouged me on the fuel. I filled it up to 1/4, but they are charging for 6 gallons plus a fuel refilling fee, this is ridiculous!

We ended up purchasing dollies from our local Lowes at 830pm so we could have them for our 6am show time to move our showroom cases across town.

Had to leave the truck without getting a receipt because personnel were not on hand to check me in. Made me very uneasy. Eventually received a receipt later in the evening but an interim receipt was very confusing.

william D.I purposely rented the Uhaul for its size as noted online. After receiving the Uhaul and getting to my destination for the move it was not the size as advertised and my items would not fit. I was forced to find other accommodations to complete the move. I now wasted money on the Uhaul for no reason.
Matthew P.Can't log into my account. Had to mop the truck bed before putting my items in. Crappy gas station pick up. Although the cashier was great and handled things quickly. Changed my pick up location and told me on voicemail, tried to call the number to switch it back($.99 a mile) was on hold for more than 10 minutes only to have to get transferred because I reached an office in another state. BTW, the 10' truck gets 10.63 mpg, not too bad.

You should put in GIANT BOLD PRINT on your website when reserving that you need to take photo evidence of every square inch of the truck and every moment of the transaction less you want your money stolen.

MATTHEW P.These people are shady and unprofessional. Check your outgoing mileage carefully and fuel level. Verify that they charge you for the correct amount of days. I've dealt with them twice and both times there was an issue. I got charged for 2 days when I only had the truck a few hours. They also had the incorrect outgoing mileage to their benefit. Luckily I caught it before leaving. Do not use these guys!!!

Kathleen L.I originally selected this location because the van was available at 9:00 AM. The people behind the counter were very helpful, hard workers and pleasant. Unfortunately the van did not come back till 10:20AM. The previous renter had overslept. We were flexible with the time and we had a few patient neighbors who were involved with the move. I had to wash the windows since they were covered with bugs. The size of the truck was big enough for everything. Comfortable to drive. Good air conditioning. Great visibility. Low mileage truck. This site only had one van and a number of box trucks.

Migdalia D.I ordered a cargo van and paid for the dolly. It was after hours when I realized there was no dolly and I needed it to complete moving. The next morning I called they said they would work it out. I was a little late but I figured since there was no dolly they would be understanding as I spent my night having people help me move some of my heavy belongings in bins without a dolly which was alot of hard work. Unfortunately there were some items just too heavy to be carried. When I arrived at this location I was given a somewhat hard time. Told I was late and all he could offer was an extra hour with the dolly. I told him never mind I'd have friends just help me as that was not enough time. He said oh I'll work with you. Well when I got back home I called and he said from 8:46am I had until 10 to be back. At that point I called Uhaul themselves. Whilst they did get me a 12 additional hours(which was still an inconvenience because I had to pay for help this time since my friends had prior commitments.) I will never go back. What should have just cost me 82.00 and the price of pizza for friends ended up costing me more to hire local help. Will NEVER use this location again. It is also frustrating that instead of apologizing for the mishap with the missing dolly, the manager/owner just said it was the websites fault and I shouldn't have been offered it as it doesn't come with cargo vans. Lastly, they advertise 24/7 usage for 20.00 a day plus milage, insurance, etc. While this location does not charge the same. You are maxed out at 12 hours.
