This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never use U Haul again and will certainly never endorse it to a friend. I attempted to use the 24/7 pick up and worst mistake ever. I arrived to pick up the truck at 10:00 and did not leave until 12:09 when I finally got the truck. Someone would come on the phone and each time tell me they would have to transfer me to someone else. I spoke with one person and she told me that she was going to call my alternate number to verify, but as we sat in my truck she never called. I spoke with the next person and explained to her what happen, she told me she would stay on the phone until someone else came of course she did not. I asked them to please not put me on hold again because they never come back. I explained I had people at my home waiting to help me to move and should have been at the storage facility. None of this seemed to make any difference. We also noticed there were knew trucks on the lot, but we were given the oldest truck on the lot and we felt every bump. They always say this call will be monitored for quality assurance. I hope they listen to the recording and at best call me with an apology.

The experience with Novi center has been always good. So nothing against that person. This bad review is for the Northville location. Had to go thru a terrible experience on Sat morning. Pl. read this e-mail from you... Dear vinodkumar kumara pillai We have a 15' Moving Van reserved for you and guaranteed Saturday, 3/9/2019 at 10:15 AM, returning Sunday, 3/10/2019 at 10:15 AM. We are located at 19340 GERALD AVE, NORTHVILLE, MI 48167 and our phone number is (248) 380-6290. The location was closed on sat and had to go through painful phone call experience to get another truck at the Novi Center. Reserved online during normal business hours and paid for a required Appliance Dolly to complete my move. THE APPLIANCE DOLLY WAS NOT IN THE TRUCK! THIS CAUSED MAJOR HEADACHE AND AFTER NEARLY ONE AND ONE-HALF HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH U HAUL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, FIVE (5) PHONE CALL WITH HANG UP, TRANSFERS AND OTHER DEBAUCLES I WAS FORCED TO GO TO MENARD'S, WASTE NO TIME AND RENT A DOLLY! I AM A LONG TIME RENTER. THE REAR DOOR OR THE TRUCK WAS FROZEN AND REQUIRED KICKING TO BREAK LOOSE! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! WEBSITE RETURN KEPT TELLING ME TO SUBMIT A MORE RECENT PHOTO OF THE MILEAGE AND WAS NON-FUNCTIONAL. POOR JOB U H-HAUL.

I made the initial reservation at the branch on inkster to pick it up in novi. I get to the store in novi and it was not there. I had to go to get a different location because the novi store did not have it.

uhaul should charge flat ratw for gas or fill trucks bwfore renting so you dont have to guess how much to spend on gas a 30 dollar rental ends up being 110 dollar rental

Take the "engine light on" seriously and fix the problem before you send the truck out with a customer. Fix temperature gage and replace bulb in both headlights. Send truck out with a clean windshield inside and out.

Excellent truck and in excellent shape! Ramp was far better than the U-Haul truck we borrowed just last year from the Plymouth location. Sales person was on top of everything and had me on my way in 5 minutes.

Nice people. FYI-Renter supplies light bulb for unit. Our unit had a 9 ft ceiling and didn’t have a light bulb. We always forgot to bring one. Rather challenging when we were in unit after dark.

The location was good. The experience was horrible. It started when Plymouth did not have my truck available to rent. Corp helped me and I went to Estate. Used the app to check out. All good until I tried to use the app (4 times) to check in and called customer service who told me the app is not for local rentals. I wasted 30 minutes trying to do this.
