This location was awful. It was closed the the day I made the arrangements for. The man who worked there who just stopped in basically just said â€œgood luckâ€ and left. It took me over 30 minutes to get the key after that. The only plus was the u-haul rep I spoke to through the process was very nice. Other than that, this system and pick up location was less than satisfactory.Lauren M.

I made reservations on line as I did in the past, purchasing the insurance, giving my license information and all the required information, set up my pickup time and received a confirmation number indicating the reservation was complete Upon arriving at my 9:00 am time slot I was greeted by a sign on the door that said CLOSED! I signed in to to UHauls site and was informed that my reservation type had been changed and that I needed to download all the information I previously entered After photographing my license and taking my own photo the system prompted me for a phone number which I entered and it rejected even though this was my only number I called the help # listed on the web page and a prerecorded message informed me that my wait time was 50 minutes nearly 40 minutes later I'm fit to be tied! And decide to drive the 15 miles to the Guilford Uhaul which is where I have rented in the past with no issues I might add and the service person there was able to reach a representative from the New Haven office who was able to get me going after driving back to the East haven location. After finally getting this cleared up it was close to 12:00 So , it took me 10 minutes online to make the reservation but nearly 3 hours To actually get the rental truck after driving nearly 40 miles round trip between the East haven and Guilford locations! I do give kudos to the Guilford and the New Haven Branches for their efforts in making this right, according to uhaul the office on Foxon Blvd, was listed as being open at 8:30 To add even more frustration to this event was the fact that after arriving back to the East Haven location, The office there was open! I will in the future only rent from a major location, not a neighborhood branch I'll drive the extra distance one timeMichael T.

Are you kidding me? I am still waiting for U Haul to call me to explain mysterious charge on my account, the reason why I was charged for fuel, the reason why I reserved a 26' truck and was given a 15' which required 3 trips, increased miles etc etcJoseph C.
Truck went into â€œwheel lockâ€ and wouldn't start. We had to call for someone to come out. Luckily a family member realized after sitting around waiting for the employee that it was in wheel lock and got it out. Then my contract shows I was charged $14 for insurance when I specially opted out of this coverage when I made the online reservation. I want a refund of this $14 and I will not be using this location again due to these 2 issues.christopher T.

Why did a get charged a lot of money? It was supposed to be less than 60 and I got charged 91 dollars? The battery in that car was not working. I turned off the car 5 times, and 5 times I had to recharge the battery. Me and my guys wasted a lot of time trying to find the cables to charge the battery. And now I am charge more than I was supposed to pay!!!!! Come on!!!!ADRIANA V.

Reserved on line.was in and out. Only thing is we should of been told dont drop keys before you do the online return.you need to take pictures of truck and milage! I wish that the link sent to my phone to the damage photos taken at the pickup location become inactive after a certain time. I couldn't view them before returning the truck. Also I could only find 2 U-Haul black boxes that were labeled do not drop keys here. There wasn't a drop off box like in the video. I had to drop the keys in a slot in the garage door that said drop keys here but didn't specify U-Haul Hope that was correct. I'll call in the a. m. to confirm everything is fine.andrea P.

I want to let you know about my experience with this rental. Original rental was out of Orange, CT for 9:00 a.m. on 6/1. The day before I was informed it was moved to New Haven, CT @ 9:00 due to lack of one way rental availability. It was then moved to 10:00 because the vehicle was rented and due back @ 9:15. After waiting 15" before being acknowledged, I was informed that my rental was not available as the current renter was overdue and the facility was overbooked, and there were no other vehicles available. I expressed my displeasure and counter person, other than offer apologizing twice, he made no effort to provide assistance, such as investigating other facilities. I left totally frustrated. I called U-Haul and the person on the phone immediately helped me and found a vehicle at another location 10" away (East Haven, CT). Wish I had gotten her name as she was great. New Haven's service left much to be desired and I will not use nor recommend this facility. East Haven service was excellent.Vincent F.
I received conflicting info on where the drop off location was. I opted in to a discounted location. I received a text message saying to drop off at that location. Then, an hour later received another text with a different location. Which ultimately resulted in me losing the discount. I am in the process of trying to get it rectified.Timothy S.

The U-Haul mobile service was terrible I could not check in for the pick up When it was time to return the truck it literally took me 20 minutes to try to return through Mobile and then extra 15 minutes on hold for a representative because I cannot get it to work trough my phone to return the truck then on top of it they charge meTwo days for the rental I return the vehicle at 11:20 PM and I was having trouble all the way till 12:20 AM trying to return the vehicle I should not be charge the extra day I would never ever use the mobile pick up and drop off worst is experience everDAMARIS Q.
Everyone was really great at this location, even making sure to pull the truck up and help remove all ice from the roof of the truck. They were very clear about what service they could provide and what to contact UHaul about (VERY important for a customer when dealing with a licensed dealer and not a corporate-owned UHaul entity).Daniel J.

This location has charged my card 4 times, all for incorrect charges, due to the service associate failing to actually check the mileage return on the van. I have called the location about this issue, as well as, the field office manager, all who have not resolved my issue. I will be taking my complaints to the BBB and reporting these fraudulent transactions to my bank. This is ridiculous, what should have been a smooth, quick, cost efficient move, turned into an expensive and unprofessional situation. I'll never rent with UHaul again!Dajhon J.

Truck was not available at 8:00am as requested. Wast told it would not be back until 1pm. Was sent to another location for an 8:30am truck. Arrived had to wait until 8:50am for representative to arrive, even though they open at 8:00am. When I arrived there that is when I received a text saying to go there for an 8:30am pick-up.
