The staff at this location are rude, all of the equipment I needed was not available.
Darryl Todd M.Although everyone is helpful, they did tell me I was getting a 15-ft and I got a 26 ft. Way bigger than I wanted or needed. Plus, I've never driven a truck that big. I did it though. But, not everyone would be too thrilled to drive the truck that big

DEE M.I REALLY wish the trailers would have jack stands or something to get off the hitch. With the trailer loaded, need a jack to unhook. Even empty, its very heavy to lift off. The app is fairly useless. I was unable to attach the photo to show the trailer was clean, but the gentleman at the drop-off location was very helpful and took care of the check in.
Barry H.I was surprised by the rental agent telling me that he was under no obligation to help me hook up the rental trailer to my vehicle. He said their only job was to inspect the vehicle. He did help after I asked but seemed reluctant to do that. This is very different customer service than I have had with all other U-Haul agencies.

Dale S.The Pawleys Island people were great and we would use or recommend them again. There was one issue that wasn't their fault. We booked our truck at 31 Leisure Lane in Myrtle Beach. At 5:00 the day before pickup we got a text saying we had to go to Pawleys Island . Thats 25 miles away. So between pick up and returning that cost us 50 miles in meager on an empty truck plus gas. Thats the 2nd time in a year this has happened with u haul. Definitely will not use either of these locations again
Scott L.This is the first time that I had to hook up the trailer myself. No safety checks no nothing just it's outside over there. If that is uhauls answer to covid you should rethink what service you are providing. I did not see anything about having to hook up your own trailer. I'm 72 years old and wasn't expecting that.
Kenneth D.My reservation was rescheduled the morning of my move to a different location, which was further than originally scheduled. The truck I had reserved was a 15' truck. The replacement at the new location was a 20' truck, which I did not know until I got there. While the vehicle suited by moving needs, I was very uncomfortable driving this vehicle, especially from a further distance.

When completing the transaction for reservation I was asked†how far are you going†and I replied not far I'm staying in-state.†He rolled his eyes and said that's not what I asked. I then replied I don't understand what your asking , then he in a nasty condescending way so how many miles are you going, and then I replied well you should've asked me that, then he replied it's the same thing and I said no it's not it wasn't clear to me obviously. This is not the first time I've rented from this place but it certainly will be the last. These people are rude and nasty and I'm amazed that they could be in business and represent such a large company in U-Haul. The vehicle itself was in good shape except for the windshield. It was filthy dirty with bug splatters all over the windshield making it very difficult to see out of. After driving the vehicle home I had to clean it myself so I could operate it safely. If I was a representative of U-Haul I would think twice about letting these people rent these vehicles. Absolutely horrible experience. If the plane close to $500 the last thing I would expect is to be spoken to the way I was and to be given a vehicle in such terrible condition. The clerk she'll understand it I am not in the business of renting vehicles I may not fully understand the jargon associated with the type of question he asked. There was no need whatsoever to be Spoken to in this town or manner. I will no longer rent from U-Haul

joseph F.Equipment interior was a bit dirty, but acceptable. Representative could have been a bit nicer. Pick up was scheduled between 10AM-12PM. Got there a few minutes after noon, and was told my reservation was 'almost cancelled' when I introduced myself (I do not believe gentleman even said hi, nice to meet you, or anything) without explanation. Overall was an acceptable experience, was not too hard to obtain equipment and it did safely get me to my destination without too much difficulty.

William N B.You all changed the location on me 3 times. I tried to call after the first one but I couldn't get anyone to answer. Also the 800 GO U-HAUL number is a joke. People are nice but all they do is redirect you to then have to talk to someone else. Wasting time. I also struggled to find the right location. went to the wrong one first and the correct location doesn't have a sign. People are nice but I had to drive 42 minutes to the location to get the trailer then spend over 20 minutes finding the correct location. Trailer was fine except for rusty wheels. Made me pretty nervous but worked fine.

Marilynn M.Reservation was changed to this location with an 8 am pick up. Site did not open until 9 am. When I was greeted, I said I was here for an 8 am reservation, uhaul rep said no you not... I explained that my reservation was changed, nothing. We don't open till 9. No I'm sorry, nothing. Then the uhaul rep said the trailer is outside near the sign. No help to hook it up, no inspection of either my vehicle or the trailer, again nothing. If had not been an experienced operator this could have set both uhaul and myself up for problems. If I didn't really need the trailer I would have told them to keep it. I will say that customer service at the 800 number did a great job calming me down. They were complete professionals.

Michael Y.On the 15 truck Large rear view mirrors need to be adjusted outward for full visibility to the rear. I was looking at one half of the truck body instead of the rear road views.
