The price was much more than advertising led me to believe. The $19.99 rental advertising then it actually cost over $80 :/ The truck worked well and was nice enough but definitely was not cleaned or sanitized......I'm not upset about it, just saying. The price was the really the upsetting thing. I've rented from u-haul in the past, with the same size truck and surprisingly the same mileage and it was over $25 less.Jeffrey G.

U-Haul I rented was very dirty both inside and out. Smelled of cigarettes. I had to put down blankets and plastic in the floor of the interior to protect my furniture. My couches now smell of cigarettes due to the U-Haul smelling of them. I will not ever return to this location or probably ever rent a U-Haul again. On a positive note, the women that checked me out upon my return was very patient and extremely pleasant. The same cannot be said for the gentleman who checked me in, he was very busy watching a sports game on his phone. No pleased with my U-Haul experience over all. Unnecessary additional stress on an already stressful situation, that a moving day brings. Very disappointed.Nicholas P.

Didn't have the truck that I booked online with a guarantee... I had to down size which wasn't the best for this application... Couldn't work and had to rent again from the Kenmore Ave Depot knowing they would have better back ups or be able to UPGRADE me.Jason G.

You switched my pickup location about 14 hourS before pickup The equipment I rented with it, I didn't get. It wasn't available. I didn't know that until after I got truck home. That's sketchy. The gentleman working evening shift at Eco Mart, Elmwood Ave, Kenmore, NY was very chill. He said go ahead and leave the truck at pump #5 after putting $7 of fuel to bring it back to half-ful the way I received the truck. Then 22 June I looked at my receipt from U-Haul and flipped out. A charge of $49 was charged to completely fill the truck. I drove back to Eco Mart, and Ms. Tonya refunded my money thankfully. Ms. Tonya's actions should be commended since the U-Haul Chat and phone contacts were un-answerable which was vey aggravating. I even had to call my bank to feet the charge. Not a good experience.William U.

It's just a drop off location, no extra supplies available if needed! Website should alert customers booking here of this. I ordered half dozen pads, they weren't even in the van and I had no way of getting them on short notice! Staff was courteous enough to credit the charge back to me.Frank M.

Firstly I couldn't find the place because I didn't realize it wasn't an actual U-Haul Depot it was just a pick up area. I used online and I didn't know it was a 24 hour use for the one price because the website didn't state that plus when I changed how long I wanted it for the price keep changing . I however needed more time and when I called the 1800 number the agent said I have to return the vehicle because it was already booked for the time when I need to return it and they didn't have anything else available at that location and I would have to start a new reservation for another vehicle which lead me to spend for an additional vehicle from a different location. I think extensions should be able to be accommodated especially if the call was made ahead of time and other vehicles sent to the location from another location so I wouldn't have to be inconvenienced and spend for a whole new contract. I learnt my lesson as a first time U-Haul user and it was an experience. The truck was dirty so I had to sweep it out and when I was finished I ensured it was swept although there wasn't anything to sweep.Karlene A P.

The clerk who helped me was very good. She was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Answered any questions I had. The truck was available when I got there ( which was not always the case when I rented from other agencies). Would definitely use them again.Tony D.

Don't book this service, and don't book uhaul. I had a 2-5 pm window to arrive with a vehicle at my destination. I originally scheduled pickup of the vehicle at 2. I received an email that said my time was changed to 3:30. No big deal, still time. I showed up at 3:30 and there was no vehicle at the location. I rang customer service and sat on hold for 45+ minutes. I then put the phone on speaker and used my phone to initiate a live chat with your customer service. I waited 15+ minutes for a response and honestly I don't think anyone has ever responded. An hour after my pickup time, the vehicle showed up. I rushed out to my destination and it was too late to pick up the item I was purchasing through a private seller. It was genuinely the worst customer service experience I've had, mostly because the complete absence of it.Garrett A.

The passenger side seat and floor was covered with a green grit substance. Brought it to the attention of the young lady, she had no idea? When asked about billing basically passed it on to the drop off location to take care of it. The counter service totally bad, I had to clean the truck, totally unacceptableDaniel T.

U-Haul changed my location at the last minute,I was not happy - I did not receive the Furniture Dolly I ordered, or the Furniture pads. I asked to have an opened ended return place for the truck as I did not know what was closer & they told me I did but when I went to return the truck I found out that I was misinformed. 2 hours were wasted at pickup trying to resolve the missing order stuff was told that they could not adjust or do the refund that was due & that I needed to do it when the truck was returned. I think that these satellite places need better training & better computers to handle the customers needs.James S.

It's just a gas station. Not a U-Haul store just a pickup location. There were questions that needed to be answered about the U-Haul. The employee that worked there was a female did not know anything about the U-Haul truck. The location was a bit far especially for a first time customer. I think that this could be improved during the long run. Other then that the truck was great.Norma R.

The van I rented was damaged, dirty inside and out and had articles of clothing left inside from previous customers. The odometer was unreadable because the indicator read "oil change needed". The person who was at the counter when I picked the van up was slow and rude.Andrew C.

The cashier was very difficult to hear. She had a very light tone and was very confused. I was a little frustrated because I pre-checked in and pre-paid and this seemed to be news to her. I also had selected a location to drop it off and she kept telling me I had to select a drop off location. The biggest thing I was frustrated about was that I ordered a dolly and furniture mover. I assumed these would be in the truck ready for me. They were not and I did not realize it until I got back home to load things into the truck. I then had to go back and again the girl was clueless and didn't even know what I was referring to.Josiah S.

I was charged more money because this was my drop off location, when in fact, I passed 2 yes TWO U haul locations to get to the Kenmore Ave..thus being charged more money. The gentleman at this location was more than helpful. The store was clean. The location for me was horrible, because as I said, I passed 2 U haul locations where I could have dropped off the truck, and not get charged for the extra miles.Toni H.
