Ensure that the system is more updated with vehicle requirements information for towing a certain type of trailer. Thankfully the gentleman at the rental place was aware of what needed to happen to fix the system error but the process would have saved me valuable time if the system recognized my vehicle as suitable for the needed trailer.

This location is tired, rundown, and not managed well. When I arrived in the store there was no one that greeted me. I had to go behind the counter and toward the opposite side of the store to let someone know I was there and needed to return the truck.

Mileage was over by 16 miles. Original rental reservation was for pickup in Petersburg, VA. Uhaul changed pickup location to Chester, VA. Which was further away. Not really a big deal but disappointed in the response of “sometimes that happens”

Some honest people make sure that they are doing things right. My suggestion is once the trucks returned that you document mileage before moving the vehicle, then double charging the customers for the mileage they did not occur.

The vehicle I rented had 145,000+ miles and although I had no problems with it during the 500 mile trip, the brakes took a lot of pedal pressure and squealed, the windshield washer was inoperative, the steering wheel was about 15 degrees off center to the right when going straight, and the previous customer left mud all over the cab floor.

I was anxious about moving my elderly father from Virginia Beach to northern Virginia and arrived at the location where I was supposed to pick up the truck. The proprietor indicated that he couldn’t rent me the truck until the paperwork snag was resolved. He resolved it even though it wasn’t his fault. Someone in that facility messed up the paperwork. The proprietor was extremely professional and he did resolve it but it raised my anxiety level tremendously.

It was an easy drop-off, though Ms. GPS/Google maps had a hard time getting me there. If you are on the Virginia Beach-Chesapeake line, this is a very good location.

closing at 4 on a sunday for uhaul returns is too early. hard to get in to the grass field where after hours drop offs are parked. 5pm on a sunday for moving day is not "after hours" in my book.

Employees were friendly and helpful. The only thing I would have found more helpful was if Uhaul offered a military discount. With the volume of active duty - especially this area- you would most likely get double the business.

First of all I requested a trailer to be picked up in Great Bridge Chesapeake VA close by but instead you set me up for Campostella And Military highway and the business was closed before I could pick up the trailer. So I had to start all over again to finally get my trailer at the other end of Great Bridge Chesapeake. Apparently when Uhaul reservations are made they don't pay attention to your request. A lot of inconvenience that day

I understand the rates being elevated for one-way trips, but I feel that the price being approximately four times what the daily rate would be for a local move is absurd. I also understand that this is not necessarily set by the local store, but it was an unreasonable expense in my opinion.

I was the first person to arrive at the location and it took 30 minutes for them to process my truck. We reserved an appliance dolly... there was one in the store, but they told me it was for someone else- and that they didn’t have one for me. We ended up having to carry our appliances up and down flights of stairs... it’s unacceptable to not have the equipment requested for a confirmed reservation!

Couldn’t bring up the picture from your site to prove fuel level and mileage. Was charged an extra $45 due to that. Will definitely go with a different company next time.

Exterior of cab was never washed, windshield was full of dead bugs. I had to find truck and bring it up front. I had to load the four dozen pads I rented. Terrible customer service.

The woman who looked over and checked the truck in told me she would charge for a coupe of pieces of dirt if I didn’t sweep it out. I laughed and said are you serious? I explained that when it was given to me I had to take a half hour and pick up broken glass pieces so my daughter wouldn’t get hurt. She let the pieces of dirt slide.
