I've been a UHAUL customer since 2007. I moved from Florida to Fort Campbell, KY with one of your trucks. On the way, I had some issues, called the 1-800 number, and it was promptly resolved. Since then I've always relied on UHAUL for anything related to moving. Unfortunately, due to the lack of professionalism of one of your representative, I will no longer bring my business or ever recommend using UHAUL. On November 12 2019, I went to the location mentioned above to rent a truck and a dolly. The female representative made it happen quickly. There was just one small mistake on the receipt, she billed me for two dollies instead of one. No big deal $7 extra, she's the one that pointed it out, and said that it would be fixed. No issues so far, I'm a satisfied customer. On the 13 , I come in to return the truck, the female clerk was not there, The manager was on site. He opens the door, we great each other, I turn in the dolly, and head towards the counter. I asked him if he needed the receipt, he said no, grabbed the keys from me and told me that I could either wait or come with him to inspect the truck, I waited. He comes back, I tell him about the extra charge, he said he'll look into it. He does his thing on the computer, prints out a receipt, hands it to me, while telling me that I was going to be charged for 20 miles. I only drove 12 . I bring it to his attention, he answers in an annoyed tone, like I was a nuisance, telling me that he only puts information in the computer. as I take a closer look at the receipt, I realize that I he gave me the wrong receipt. I hand it back to him, he does his thing again, prints the right receipt with the correct mileage. I look at it and see that the $7 for the dolly was not removed. I bring it to his attention, and his answer was that the amount was correct, asked me if I knew how math worked, and handed me a calculator. As I try to respond he tells me that he could not deal with me anymore and to please leave. I asked him when the other clerk would be there, he said that he was the manager, there is nothing she could do about it and asks me to leave. I point out the double charge on the receipt, he tells me that it's accurate and kept insisting on me leaving his store if I wanted to complain to call the UHAUL number. I told him that he just lost my business over $7, (I really don't care about the money, the feeling of being ripped off and insulting my intelligence in the process, is what really infuriated me) he was fine with that. I kept my cool walked away. As I left the store I felt angered and humiliated. If that's the kind of people you want to represent your brand I can't support this type of business practice.

This was my first time ever driving a uhaul/truck, and they didn't come out to the truck to show me anything about anything. Turns out it was pretty easy, but would have been nice if they gave a "tour" of the vehicle.

Ordered van online almost a week early. Had to use the app to pick up because I wanted van earlier than store opening. The day before I was to pick up I received a phone call saying that location did not have the phone/app pick up. My complaint is why did it let me sign up for it in the first place AND why did I receive a phone call the day before and not soon after I booked the van. It was very frustrating to have to deal with that. I’m already stressed out about moving. Needs to be fixed.

This location is the best. This is the 2nd time i’ve used uhaul with this location. The 2 times I reserved at Dupont Pharmacy they transferred me by email to another location and then the second time I showed the lady that I made a reservation on my phone I showed her the email and she said nope no reservation here. OMG. Sorry but she flat out lied to me even when I showed her full proof. Jesus the incompetence of Dupont Pharmacy. This is the same place I saw the lady dancing outside before she opened the doors I thought she was homeless at first because she was acting irratic she actually worked there because she opened the door.

On the national level, improve the website reservation system so it stops sending people miles away from the nearest location, such as the DuPont store, in order to pick up a truck! I know this tactic enables U-Haul to make more money off the mileage, but it is disingenuous. The DuPont store was very helpful and delightful to work with.

We were supposed to pick up our reserved truck at the Steilacoom Blvd. location, Steilacoom WA, but the attendant was too busy washing cars to be of any assistance. Your U-Haul locations in Lakewood, Olympia also seem to be chronically understaffed and crowded inside.

PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT YOU CHARGE MILEAGE AND OVERCHARGE FOR GAS, AND THAT IF THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINS, YOU CHARGE THEM MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL OVERCHARGE. U Haul did not explain that I would be charged for mileage. I returned the truck after 2.5 hrs and a small run inside a small town with the same gas gauge reading and a $29.99 + $10.00 dolly became $82.63, including a charge for 4 gallons of gas. When I asked for an explanation of the gas, and was told I'd get a call back. No call back, but U Haul then charged me another 92.00 = $174.63.

Reservation number - 28585581 The individual people in DuPont and the Yelm location in which first originated were very professional and help me obtain a rental truck. However, there was a major issue. I reserved a 20 ft. truck online to be picked up at the Yelm location. However, we I arrived, they did not have it. They only had a cargo van, a trailer, and a 15ft truck which they reserved for someone else while I was there. And that's OK. i understand, but very inconvenient. They checked but there was no 20ft truck anywhere. So I had to settle for a 15ft truck in DuPont where I just left wasting over an hour of my time and gas. I went to the DuPont location and told the personnel my plight, and her comment was "It happens." I was slightly upset because it was if she didn't care. Because I was given a 15ft truck, I had to make two trips from DuPont to Yelm causing additional cost in miles. How is U-Haul going to compensate for the inconvenience of not having the reserved 20ft truck costing their customer unwarranted additional charges? Bottom Line: If a customer reserves a truck, the system needs to be able to better determine track whether a specific location has that truck available or not. I am active duty military who just came under a new assignment going from Washington State to Arizona. i need to know U-Haul is a reliable company that when I reserve a truck for my upcoming move, I won't be left extremely disappointed and unable to make my move.

I would suggest that there is a design flaw in the spring loaded door. When the door goes up, the latch swings open and jams in the frame of the truck causing the door to not close. We had to use a ratchet strap attached to the inside of the truck to pull the door back far enough to reach up there and move the latch so that it would clear the frame to close.

The worst EVER experience with staff at U Haul DuPont ! I would never, never, never deal with them again. Absolutely horrific. The manager and his wife tried to rip me off but I caught it. Info they gave me was incorrect, etc. And then, there's the fat, angry cow who knows far less than the other 2 morons. How is that possible? Fatso is the rudest, worst customer service exp I've ever had. I would never allow a staff member to even commit one of the multiple things she said and did. They would be fired. I was never rude, upset or raised my voice (I videotaped her and the conversation) yet she continued on with her nastiness. I reminded her I was recording and the idiot tells me that I can't. Has fatty lived under a rock for the last 30 years? She's not aware that she is on video at work every day? She needs to read up on laws regarding this because she is wrong. That fat, angry old cow is the rudest, dumbest person I've ever come across. U-Haul DuPont needs serious changes made at that location. They'll be out of business if that continues. Probably the only reason they still are in business is because of the huge military population AND there is no competition in DuPont. All those soldiers travelling the world telling people how bad U-Haul is and not renting from them anymore. I'll be looking into opening competition for them as it will be easy to get all the business. Like taking candy from a baby.

This location was convenient to our house which was great however the truck upon pickup had cigarette packs, dip cans, and empty water bottles in the cabin and smelled of smoke. The cabins should be thoroughly checked and cleaned before renting to the next customer.

While I was asked if I had any questions, and I said no...it was a good 3 years since I drove one of these trucks. Don't know what to ask...A quick run down on how things work would be awesome. While it only takes a few minute to figure it out... it would be awesome to have someone walk out and show me the latch/ramp, warn me of the buzzer when parking break is engaged and the tow/haul button.

The gas tank was not full. I returned the vehicle with same level of gas and was charged over $17. I called and have been given the run around and even have picture to show the gas tank was more than 3/4 of a tank. I was told u haul would contact me within 24 hrs and it's been nearly 3 days

Made a reservation a more than a couple weeks In advance and when I get there to pick up it's not even the size truck I reserved.. when I asked the guy about it he said we don't have that size. Well that would have been nice to know when I made the reservation for the size you apparently don't ever have! The mans attitude was shitty and the back of the truck had chewed gum spit on the floor I had to clean up. Will not use again!

First the wrong return location was listed despite repeating it several times and why I needed a specific return location. I didn't expect to need to review it that closely after going over it with the person making the reservation. Also the contract was written for zero days so when I turned it in, the computer tried to charge me for a second day. The returning location finally got it fixed but it took a lot of effort on their part to fix it.

The lady and gentleman working when I picked up the vehicle were very helpful and friendly! I also really appreciated being allowed to push back the pick up time by an hour when I called to make the request less than 2 hours before the originally scheduled pick-up time.
