Alexander EEverything went smooth and better than expected. Truck was clean and easy to operate. Ben was very helpful and explained everything well. I over filled the truck with fuel. It is hard to guess. Easier when you just fill up. Swept out the truck but didn't get the $25 discount. Haha. All good it was a pleasant experience. Gracias.

Dennis OWe had reserved a unit from one of the Surrey locations to drive it to Edmonton and made arrangements based on this reservation, booking flights. We received a call 1.5 days before we were to pick it up telling us there were no units available, and the lady who called us simply said that no units are available and that the fine print in the booking reservation about someone calling to arrange an exact time and unit for pick up should have been enough to tell us that units were not guaranteed. That is a big stretch, and her attitude is poor and very unapologetic. Our only option was to try and cancel flights and take a unit round-trip from Edmonton, which of course cost us an extra $500 in gas even if our contract price remained the same. This left a terrible impression on how U-Haul does business and we now know that a reservation is worth absolutely nothing in dealing with U-Haul.

Nicole AWe were given a damaged vehicle and they gave us vehicle with quarter tank of gas while it was half full on return. The agent in Calgary refused to give us fuel refund. We had worst experience and will probably never choose U-HAUL again.
Rohit DI was missing a dolly that I ordered, and the person helping us didn't really know much other then how to enter the info into the computer. She was very nice, but it would have been helpful if she was more knowledgeable. I feel like this is the problem with these companies that do U-Haul reservations on the side. They don't actually know about U-Haul practices or policies. On top of that, their equipment to scan the ID wasn't working properly and we couldn't connect to their wifi to do it, as the person helping us didn't know the password. Finally it worked, otherwise we could have been stuck there much longer. It was a good thing we came early to the location, just in case there was a hold up.
john oThis location was just fine without any issues at all. Pick-up and drop-off went smoothly. Now, unrelated to this specific location: I had my reservation changed on me hours before my reserved time. Very disappointing since of course I had to be at certain places at certain hours. This location is what saved me, with a way bigger truck unfortunately.

BRIAN HI got outstanding customer service from Uhaul specialist Mel. He was able in short time prepar for me multiple steps difficult order with the truck and many Uboxes. Always pleasure to work with real specialists. Thank you, Mel.

Darlene BI got a call the night before pickup that I couldn't get my rental until the next afternoon. I had to change my reservation to a different location. That's very poor customer service

Don SFill the truck up so your first driving experience and delay is finding a gas station. I had no idea how much fuel the truck would consume so I left a lot more fuel in the vehicle than I needed. That added to the cost of moving
John KThis was the absolute worse rental company I have ever had to deal with. Ben has shown us no integrity and over charged us by 80 dollars when he knows the charge was inaccurate. Not too mention he told us to call the 1800 number and stuck on hold for 35 minutes with no one answering Guess this is the type of business. He add coverage for 15 dollar when we told him no and billed us anyways and we have to phone get that corrected? Where is the service?
Daniel MProvide better information for where the office for this location is. Although with one phone call I had it figured out quite quickly, so that was nice.

Sharice FI asked for no CDW coverage and the $15 cdw charge was put on. I needed a 2" inch ball and they didn't have any. I wanted to pay my deposit by debit and couldn't because they had no debit machine. Used extra 15km at 69 cents per km because had to go buy a $30 2" ball receiver. What should have cost $40-$50 ended up costing almost $70.
David Hthe 6 x 12 cargo trailers should have a tongue jack. They are too heavy to have to lift off the ground to place on a hitch.

Natalie DLocation was difficult to find: no signs visible from the outside, tiny office hidden inside a decrepit mattress company; I searched for an hour and asked every possibly business on 114 avenue and nobody has heard of a U-Haul office. Truck was very tired at 155000 miles. AC was broken. I drove it four days in the heat and had to stop at 2pm when the temperature just made the drive unsafe. Engine was stalling whenever I stopped (traffic light etc). The engine was pumping the gas pedal for me forcing me to ride the brakes below 40mph. It made parking and maneuvering at low speed very dangerous. A terrible experience.
Marc-Antoine DWe booked a uhal over a month before moving time, for my location. A truck was not available, I had to drive 30 mins away. I should of been able to a have a truck in my own town as requested. The truck was dirty. And smoked in. I'm allergic to smoke. Mel was kind, at the pick up location And uhaul should have a 30 ft truck as 26 doesn't fit as much as stated.
Cori WReplace dreadful web app. Have vehicles that aren't run down. Have vehicles ready at the time and location agreed to with customer. Collect less personal information. Face ID, really? A copy of a lease? Get real. Never again!
