The truck bed was not swept so it was dusty with some visible dirt. Since it was parked next to another truck taking pictures of that side was very hard. The mobile pick up was super time consuming and took about 25 minutes. Then, when returning the truck, the mobile app would not upload any of the pictures of the dash, so did not complete my return, despite returning my keys on time. I called 800 number, told them, asked if my return would in fact go through, they said yes. No one said I had to go online to finish it. 6 days later I see I charge for another day and a half rental which I had to call and get reversed. Seems easier to go to a Uhaul center. I could not be more disappointed in the Uhaul policy for fuel. The location I worked with was great, however I will not use Uhaul again. I returned the truck a half tank fuller than I received it and tried calling and emailing to see if I could get an alternative fee waved to make up for a significant loss in money. Over $45 dollars in gas that I just gave to your company and you were unwilling to wave a single fee. I just find it interesting that you are more than willing to charge me if I had returned the truck under fueled but are unable to help out when it is far more than over fueled.Julianne M.
The sales associate that helped us at check out was very helpful. The man in purple that came out of the office, behind him, was completely rude. While we were checking out, He asked me if I'd be returning the Uhaul at that location and I told him, â€œSure. We can do that.â€ And he responded, â€œWell it wasn't an option, you better bring it back.â€ Not sure if he thought he was intimidating or whatever, but he just looked like a complete fool for being rude to someone for no apparent reason. Again, not sure what the root cause was for his behavior, but he'd have better luck frightening a tree, wall or some other inanimate object.Richard G.

Jerry didn't let me pay cash when I return the rental and he refuse to print me a copy of the receipt when the day before they printed me the contract! That is part of a good service. He said they are not like the other U-Hauls. So is there not standard?? Why I can pay cash and get my receipt in other locations??sebastian B.
I set up my self pick up at U-Haul Moving & Storage at Valley Blvd, when I got there I wasn't able to get my truck because the employees at that location forgot to leave the keys as I was told by U-Haul customer service line who had me on hold for 53 minutes. They had me pick up a truck from an other location 30 minutes away from my there. Very bad customer service since they only offer to reimburse me $50 back which by their contract they have to do since they fail to meet the prefer time or place : Should U-Haul, through its fault, fail to contact customer the day prior and be unable to meet preferred time, place or size, then the $50 Reservation Guarantee will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation. They did not offer anything else for the inconvenience and the lady at that pick up location which we had to drive back to so we can get the supplies we paid for was really rude. I didn't find the service to be helpful. I arrived to drop off the truck expecting a joint inspection of the vehicle. The person at the front desk said, â€œThank you, we'll send you a final receipt later.â€ We pumped gas into the truck slightly over the amount we were supposed to have placed and still got charged an added $8.93 for gas. We were told that we placed less gas than we actually did place. A joint inspection with us would've eliminated any speculation. I don't know what happened to the truck after we left. Someone may have moved it from where I parked it and maybe that put the gas below where it was supposed to be. Very unsatisfied.Carlos G.

When I received the truck they had the trunk masterlocked so I was unable to get inside to move my things until someone came to unlock it for me after I had already reached my destination. In addition to that it was supposed to have 1/4 of a tank when I picked it up but it didn't, it only had 1/8 of a tank of gas in it. When I got there they did not have me in the system, they were not much help and said I had to call and see what happened. The area to sit in for the U haul was a small desk in a very nosy room and the TV was very loud it was hard to talk on the phone with the U Haul person. The person on the phone told my reservation was canceled. That was corrected and I was given a discount, which was nice especially after driving 97 miles to get there. They asked to speak to the supervisor at the sight and the guy acted like he was put out to have to stop and talk to the person on the phone.anita B.

. I originally had a reservation to rent a Uhaul van from Mt. Olive Storage Facility (1500 Crestfield Dr, Duarte, CA 91010). Upon arrival, they proceeded to check me in, confirm my reservation, but then couldn't find keys to the van. Through whatever unorganized effort on their part, they ended up not having my van at all, and couldn't figure out why their system showed it was there, when it wasn't. They proceeded to tell me to go to another location several miles away. They were not courteous about the fact they couldn't fill my reservation, didn't know the name of the place I was going to pick up my other van (could only give an address. When I asked what it would be called, he replied "I don't know.") He stated we would receive a $50 credit for the mishap. He said the new place I would pick the van up from would take care of the payment. When I picked up the van from the new location, that representative stated the bill would be settled when I dropped it off. Then the drop-off representative told me that the final bill is taken up with U-Haul central. After receiving my bill, it appears no one put a credit on my bill, and was charged the full amount. Someone screwed up and charged me full amount despite the fact my pick-up location did't have my van, and I was forced to drive to a different location to pick it up. I don't know who did, but it seems no one between the three people I spoke to could accurately tell me what would happen with my bill, and the people at Mt. Olive Storage can't fill a simple reservation properly. Now I have to go through a central office and resolve the issue of being charged in full when I should have had a credit. In my opinion, it's not hard to impress me when it comes to something like renting a U-Haul. All you have to do is take my credit card and hand me keys, and I'd rate it a 10/10. When I can't have a simple reservation filled, it drops to a 1/10. When I get billed incorrectly, I wish that Issac Newton was still around to explain negative numbers to me so I'd have a better way of saying my experience was worse than a 0/10.Katel D.

The truck I picked up was not even washed or wiped down. The cab was full of cigarette ash and there was grease or oil on the door and seats, the check in was not express, I still had to provide information. Even though I used express check in on line.Richard R.
I never agreed to pay the extra $14.00 for additional insurance, I have my own. When I contacted UHaul the person I spoke with quoted me $19.95. I was also not made aware that I would be charged extra for mileage. I only used the Uhaul for a few hours and drove 17 miles! My final bill was over $75. Had I known that it was going to be that much, I would have opted to just have the items delivered from the store. Very disappointed!Christine H.

Vehicle was decent. Ac blew cold when moving in 80deg weather. When ac was started, it had an odor. Smelled like sweaty feet. Customer service rep, was also not to part with walkin customers. Took his time to work the system from scratch. Very slow with the renting process. Did not know what a 17 foot truck was. Could use a lot more training for walk in customers.
