The staff (Lady) was very nice. Surprised me that she didn’t even go outside to look at the truck while I was there!!! Gave her the keys and that was it. What if there were discrepancies in how the truck was returned. I told her everything was fine, but why should she just trust my word???

Vehicle was very dirty outside when I received it. I washed it at a carwash before I returned it. I don't really care that it was dirty as long as it was working. I wasn't charged for andy extra cleaning by U Haul so I am happy with the service I received.

Not at all impressed.. called and made a reservation on an agreed price with a credit card, waited our day to pick the truck up, got to location and there was no documentation on the agreed upon price and I ended up having to pay $300 more than what was agreed on when the phone reservation was made. Tried to resolve the issue with the employee at this location and they were not educated on any of the process or questions being asked. If I am ever needing to book a uhaul again, it most definitely will not be from this location.

2 flat tires- NO SPARE ON TRAILER!!!!!! Terrible situation to have to wait on the side of the TransCanada for hours. Luckily I have a mechanic for a partner and great neighbors with compressors!! Had to fight to leave trailer at our destination and get the $100 fee waived. Eventually Blair sorted everything.

My preference is that vehicles are fully fueled when we pick them up, it makes it is easier to refuel to the exact level when returning the vehicle. If this is not possible, then each vehicle should have a mpg or l/100 km guide. thanks. Andrew

On September 15th I reserved a UHAUL van for November 12th to help my daughter move from Canmore to Vancouver Island. I flew out from Vancouver Island on November 10 to assist. She had arranged for friends to help with the move for November 12th. I had recently injured myself and was unable to lift anything heavy. She is very pregnant and also unable to lift anything really. At about 0721 am on November 11th I received a text message from an Alberta cell phone telling me the Dead Man's Flats location was closed November 11th and 12th. That was it. I thought at first it was an automated message but responded anyways that I was scheduled to pick up the UHAUL on the 12th. I received a response from a person who did not identify themselves. The response I received was "We r closed on the 12th". No apology or anything. Subsequent messaging implied it was my fault for not knowing as it was posted on the local website, which I had no idea of. It was suggested I drive to Calgary which is about a 90 minute drive for us instead of 15minutes if I wanted a UHAUL van on the 12th. I discussed it with my daughter as it was very inconvenient for us to have to go to Calgary. She would try to reschedule her friends who would be helping us. After more messaging back and forth it was agreed with this unidentified texter I could pick up the UHAUL van on November 13th at 0900 am at Dead Man's Flats. I did not get the persons name I was texting with but I assumed it was the manager as they said they had gone to Edmonton and the Uhaul Staff were gone for the long weekend. I then checked the website and saw the notice said the UHAUL was also closed on the 13th. I quickly texted to confirm the office was open. I was assured they were. On November 13th at 0900 am we attended Dead Man's Flats UHAUL which is in the backroom of the local gas station. The employee there was not the person I was texting with and had no idea of what had been arranged. He did find that a UHAUL van had been reserved for me for pickup on the 13th but when he entered the details into the computer, I found the rate was twice what I had originally been quoted. The person I had been texting with on November 11 had cancelled my original reservation. The employee then told me to call the posted 1-800 number to sort it out and left the office.... So I did. That part went ok. I phoned and the original quote was honored. I had to get transferred to the local regional office to do so. The experience was very frustrating and I was extremely unhappy with : the delay in moving, having to ask my daughters friends to rearrange their days to help us load the truck, the non-existent customer service at Dead Mans flats, and especially the "anonymous" text message I received on November 11 pretty much leaving us hanging with no viable option if I had not been able to change the moving date. Definitely not my best experience.

The customer service we received was very friendly and prompt. We ended up needing a bigger unit than had originally booked, and the service representative was extremely accommodating and made things simple and easy. Would definitely use this location again.

Everything was ready when I arrived. Great customer service. When I was struggling with the app when returning the vehicle, they came out & did a quick inspection and completed the return for me, which was a relief. Smooth process aside from the app glitches. Very much appreciated.

Received a $100 charge for fuel even though I returned the U-Haul with slightly more fuel then I received it with. Had to call and get it refunded. Frustrating that they automatically charged me for fuel minutes after I dropped it off, regardless of fuel level. Really can't trust them unfortunately.

Don't scam customers. As I was returning the trailer after hours, I was instructed to drop it off with the other trailers after I'm done with it. So I did. Then in the morning I get an invoice for another days rental and an additional $20 fee. I wasn't told anything about having to check it in after I was done, just "leave it with the other trailers." I've left a 1 star Google review and will leave some other reviews to let other potential customers know about this scam. I'll be writing to the BBB as well. This practice is completely unsatisfactory. Shame on this franchise owner. Franchise owners such as these are damaging uHaul's brand.

Please connect with us regarding the charges. You credited back the cleaning and late return fees but you didn’t adjust the tax computation. Also, we returned it with over half the the tank of gas filled more than we’re supposed to return it with. If clients weren’t taking note of the charges, they’d get away with extra fees that shouldn’t be added. We returned the truck and handed the key to a lady staff at the gas station at 838pm, return time was 900pm. It was so much more than we expected to pay for. Please call back at 587 839 1225. I was not impressed with the $20 cleaning fee at the end of my trip. There was no need for it. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy when I dropped it off and they didn’t tell you that there was a cleaning fee when I picked it up.

This location is very convenient for me. It has lots of parking and easy access to the trailers. The on-site gas station is also very convenient. The U-Haul manager is very nice and helpful.

Service attendant connected trailer incorrectly and it came unhooked on the first bump on the highway, early causing an accident. The attendant even took a picture with the trailer hitch improperly connected. Terrible service, unsafe and would definitely not recommend anyone go there!
