There are no signs and gps address takes to another business. The entry has holes so big and deep it damaged my bumper. I have pic to prove. The road to drop off is nothing but holes. Deep holes. No one shoulder ever use this location. Old mechanic shop with the grounds dangerous for tires.

No signage to show someone where to turn off the highway, down a tree covered dirt road that was full of big potholes. Not much Uhaul signage on the building. No instructions on where to park. The guy was nice, but I was pretty much on my own to unhitch the car hauler the first day and park the truck the next day. I was the second drop-off location in Summerville that was very hard to find. Why doesn't Uhaul require them to put up signs when they aren't located on a main road?

There should be better communication between this "location" and the U-haul "broker". After arriving to this location, I changed my mind on the car dolly I had reserved afte seeing that the trailer would be better used for what I needed moved. I contacted the U-haul broker once more to change my reservation and set up payment for the difference. My new reservation was confirmed, however, in the middle of loading my haul I was contacted by this location only to be threatened with them staying they would be calling the police and reporting the trailer stolen.

The person who handle my transaction never greeted me, no interaction whatsoever. Didn't explain any of the forms or expanded on why he was asking me for certain information, didn't walk me to the U-Haul truck to make sure I was getting in the right one or to check for damages and gas gauge. I tried calling varies times to get an extension on rental and no one ever answered and when the voicemail came on it was full. Unable to leave messages. Once I returned the truck, I was charged three different times for the exact amount each time. I had to cancel my credit card. I will never go there again. It was a horrible experience.

This location is rude as hell. This is supposed to be a 24/7 drop off location. Instead, I arrived at 9:30Pm to drop it off and the gate was locked. I called the location and the representative answered. I told him I was there to drop off a U-Haul and he stated, "We are closed, that is not my problem" and then proceeded to hang up on me. I called the 24/7 U-Haul customer service number and that representative attempted to call them, and they did not answer. So, I left the key in the U-Haul and parked it outside the gate and left it there. #NotMyProblem

They don't have 24 hr drop off, U-haul doesn't advise of this, the location doesn't have a Phone number on Google, nor does U-haul have a valid Phone number for them. I had to drop off the key to my rental the following day because the Dropbox is inside a locked gate. The location is in a very scary neighborhood. The location is hard to find. This was absolutely the WORST experience I've ever had with U-haul and I will most likely use someone else next time. I am lucky nothing happened to me OR the rental. I had to take the day off to get this resolved and had to make an additional trip to take the key to the rental. This all seems very ridiculous since there is a 24hr dropoff location within 2 miles of where I unloaded the U-haul. Also, when I called customer service to figure out how to drop off the key, the 1st person I spoke to, was not even attempting to help, and gave me the number of the location I picked the rental up from in another city. She wasn't even paying attention. This experience was beyond disappointing.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property itself is sketchy, I would imagine especially for people not used to being around auto shops. Difficult access in and out of property, especially for amateur towers. There’s a U-Haul trailer graveyard on the way in, with the forest reclaiming some of them. It was muddy, but luckily I didn’t get the trailer stuck.

The drop location is closed on Sundays. The gate was locked at the location and there was no Key Dropbox that was accessible to where we had to park the truck. This should have been realized by someone and the drop location should have been changed or other arrangements allowing us to return the truck when the location is open for business. We now have to make a second trip to the drop location to bring the key that could not be returned on the original equipment return. Please advise as to how we will be compensated for the inconvenience and poor planing on equipment return

No obvious road signage, just a lone small trailer backed into the overgrowth...the only clue. Then literally down a one lane, bumpy dirt pig trail into the woods and uhaul trailers scattered in the weeds as tall as the equipment! Then a single steel door with a little uhaul sign on one end of a metal building amongst several metal buildings.. all auto salvage shops? Dozens of wrecked vehicles everywhere. A guy from one of the shops said the uhaul place does'nt open until 10AM...I had to return by 9AM per contract so I had to self return and leave it in the junkyard. I called customer service before 9AM and when I told her the place was closed, she responded that it was'nt 9AM yet!

Location not stocked with accessories as many are. Location's driveway is dirt and filled with potholes. Once loaded and on the road it appeared that the trailer brakes were not working. Since my tow vehicle is set up to handle larger loads it was more of an annoyance instead of a safety issue for my but could have been disastrous for someone else. I reported this at drop off.

Not a location I asked for. Did not have the truck I reserved and did not have furniture pads I requested. Did not answer their phone when I called before pickup to confirm location. Attendant was friendly and quick once I got there...so no complaints there.

My reservation was confirmed at the1205 Central Ave Summerville location. When I arrived, I was told that they did not have the trailer I requested. I was then sent to the 1005 W. 5th Street N. Location. They were great. You need to get your reservation system fixed.

Apparently, the left rear light of the trailer was not working as a passing vehicle alerted me the left turn signal did not illuminate when I was changing lanes out on the highway; at the next test stop I found the light was not functioning at all; notified UHaul personnel at turn In

No after hours drop off procedures established and business is off the main road down a long rutted dirt and gravel lane. The lady that did the return was very nice, knowledgeable and proficient. She also gave me ride in a golf cart back to the main road where my wife picked me up.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY FURTHER CUSTOMERS!!! I have no idea where to begin. We pulled in, the U-hauls all sit in high grass. Go into the office, if that is what you want to call it. Dirty and stunk. We was not even greeted. The man that was there was very rude. He acted like we was a huge bother. His name was Billy. When I told him we was there for a reserved U-haul pick up. He had major attitude. He checked the computer. The price in the computer was not the price quoted to me over the phone. I told him that the price he was charging me, was not the right price, he said, he had no idea how to change it. I said well I don't want to pay a higher rate. He threw his phone toward a couch that was there. That barely missed my son and husband. He made the comment that if we wabted a car painted to go there, but dont go there fir a U-haul rental! After a huge going back and forth and after I seen the situation wasn't going anywhere. I decided to pay the higher amount, but rejected the trailer that U-haul called and ask us to take back to our home state. I figured I could call U-haul customer service and try to get the money straighten out at a later date. I would have walked away. But they had my credit card on file. So I didn't feel comfortable not getting at least the U-haul we was in need of. Billy was absolutely the rudest person that I have ever had to deal with. He had very very bad customer service. We get the U-haul to where we needed to load it. We wait a while before we decided to check out the inside of the truck. We open the doors of the truck, there were cockroches in the back of the truck. It was very dirty. It was after hours and on a holiday weekend. I honestly didn't think to call the U-haul number, to see if I could put in a complaint to them after hours. We got roach and bug spray and spent the next 4 hours cleaning out the truck. Sprayed a second time. Shut it up and left it set over night and had a repeat clean the next morning. When I got back to our home state I called the number spoke to U-HAUL we received only $100 credit back, because I didn't think to take pictures of the entire ordeal. I have learned a lot from this situation, that I will never repeat again. But I HIGHLY RECOMMEND .... IF YOU EVER RENT A U-HAUL OR ANYTHING TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES IF YOU EXPERIENCE AN ISSUE. I really wish I would of taken pictures of the U-hauls in the high grass, the horrible dirty office, the bugs in the truck, my son and husband cleaning out the truck. Just the entire situation and also of recorded Billy. The situation was bad from start to finish!!!!! I highly highly do not.... recommend this location... and I highly recommend taking a lot of pictures at your pick up experience. I REPEAT.... DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! This gives location gives U-haul bad name!!!!!

The folks were marginally professional but ok. Overall, the entire business was a mess. Disassembled vehicles everywhere, difficult to find a place to park, (that they didn’t tell you “can’t park there”). The office hadn’t been cleaned for years (decades?). The trailer was parked in a position that was difficult to get out and they couldn’t or wouldn’t help. They did not do a check when I hooked up & I later found I ‘d traveled 2700 miles with no right turn or brake signal. I think I know why the customer right before me left angry.

One of the land owners was extremely rude and started cussing me out for driving by him at an idle speed. Would never recommend anyone renting something from Da Shop or going there for anything.

The trucks are kept in the woods! It was covered in pine needles and sticks which we had to request be swept off the windshield. Inside the cab was other peoples trash, a lot of dog fur and ANTS! The ants had clearly been living there for a while as you could see the trail they had left from continually walking on the black plastic interior. Upon request the ants were killed but the shop employee was not concerned at all with our displeasure. The “office” of this junkyard was disgustingly dirty and reeked of cigarettes. The employee paused his Adam Sandler movie after we had already been inside for 2-3 minutes… just very unprofessional. Also, while signing the paperwork for the truck I asked about a price difference from the website to the forms I was given and he didn’t even respond to my question. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Even the employees at the drop of location we took the truck to when finished moving were appalled at the condition of the cab.

Customer service was great. The lot was crowded with other non-U-Haul cars. It made it difficult and dangerous to safely move the U-Haul from the lot to the road. Recommend organizing body shop cars on one area and U-Haul trucks in another. Also recommend general clean up and organization of the lot area.

Our contract said to call this location upon arrival. We tried for over an hour to call with not answer and a full mailbox, not that leaving a message would have helped. I chatted with U-Haul for help and got Stacey whose 1st recommendation was to keep calling until they answered. Then she gave us a number for someone else who was no help and would not give us his name. After no success with yet another person from somewhere we finally just took the trailer to the location without knowing if anyone would even be there. They immediately disconnected it but gave us no paperwork to prove we returned it. I have used U-haul often over the years and never had this kind of problem. In our initial contact we just wanted to know if we could return it to a different location. I think that is a reasonable request that should have been solved in a few minutes but instead we got nothing but frustration. I have more moving coming up in the next couple of months and am hoping there will not be a repeat of this one.

Service was not up to date on the transport trailer he had me use. Picked up Saturday and before leaving Monday ha to air up all four tires. One was at 19 lbs. Also told him the front safety chain was missing. He said I never hook them up anyway. Also the drivers side fender bolts were very loose so tightened them up.

The location is nested back in some trees and tricky to find. After hours drop off is almost impossible due to the drop box being located behind a locked gate. We called to let them know we could not drop the key off and kept it with us after dropping the truck of (we did not want the liability of it being stolen). The next day, we brought the keys to the shop after we got off work (we leave for work at 5:30 am and the shop was still not open). They charged us for an extra day. We were 1-2 gallons of gas off on the gauge and were charged for that as well. We had already put in, as I’ve mentioned before, all our gas budget because the truck was much larger than requested. It took us 5 weeks to be refunded from the additional charges they added for this trip. Next time we will use Penske!

Truck was parked over trees and cab was full of ants. Contract was finalized prior to verifying requested equipment was available. Da Shop is a poorly located, unkempt, sketchy location that made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
