I called u haul for help and they transferred me to 24/7 and after an hour of being on hold I finally hung up and just left the truck in the random lot and hoped I don't get charged am inconvenience fee for leaving it outside of the drop off location
BRITTANY M.U-Haul computer system was not functioning properly at time of pickup resulting in delay and confusion.(Also had difficulties myself the night before just making the reservation due to system problems. Took almost 6 hours of effort just to book this truck). In the resulting chaos, I was not provided with clear information regarding the fuel level which as a result I did not check.In hindsight, the clerk should have walked me to the vehicle and verified the fuel level with me and also answered any additional questions before my departure with the truck. As a result of this lack of attention, I incurred additional fuel charges which I should not have to pay. The truck was received with 3/8 of a tank of gas and returned with 3/8 of a tank of gas. However, the paperwork stated it has 1/2 tank and must be returned with 1/2 tank - a detail the clerk did not advise me of directly due the confusion created by the system issues. Young inexperienced clerk. No real service. Just - finally got payment processed. Here's your key and paperwork. Result - I get an extra $22.40 fuel charge after gassing the thing back up[ to where I Actually started.

Ted G.The vehicle Transport Trailer was defective. The straps that grip the front wheels came off my front wheels of the vehicle I was towing 6 times. I had to stop often to tighten them. The ratchet mechanism was faulty. When I got to my destination I told the person who checked me in on Monday, 12-30-19, about my experience and asked for a portion of my money back from the Transport Rental he said U-Haul had screwed others worse than that. I had ordered a heavy duty furniture /Appliance dolly , got the confirmation email, and when I picked up the truck, there was no dolly. Had to wait for the location to open to find out all they had was a regular light two wheeler. The truck had a horrible screeching to it like a air gap/blower motor issue, and the transmission was slipping and I had to turn around and swap the truck back in,,,Ended up losing almost 2.5 hours all over just dealing with the issues. For whatever reason the website was also refusing my method of payment after numerous attempts of re-entering the information. The pick up location and the shop location being in two totally different areas is ANOTHER big waste of time. Go here to check in, go there to view the truck, go back to get the key, go back to the truck location. Very inconvenient and major waste of time. The first time I rented a couple weeks ago was just as bad , and I thought that was a fluke....but two times back to back ? Really?

The unit was located several blocks away in a gravel area that could only be accessed by jumping a curb that had a couple 12' x2â€x4â€'s with visible nails in the boards. Once I surveyed the truck for damage, I then had to go retrieve the key back several blocks away at the original address then go check the truck to record mileage and fuel which was several blocks away. This was very cumbersome considering at the very least, the unit could've been staged in the street directly in front of the storage place as were a couple other trucks .

Donnell H.Stood in the office for at least 30 minutes while the only worker struggled to get the forms filled out on the computer that I had already completed online. Had to show my license and credit card twice. He had to call someone else and was on the phone for a few minutes trying to get the registration made. Customers continued to come in and leave behind me. Many were complaining about slow computers, computers being down the day before, etc. Basically, I don't understand why anyone should use the online reservations if you are going to have to stand there 30-40 minutes going through it repeatedly. I made the reservation to secure and hopefully move quickly through acquiring so I could get to my appointment. When I returned the item, two guys were working. They were both nice but this service Definitely needs attention.
