This experience was the worst Uhaul one we have ever had. We picked up the truck at the correct time. When I got in the truck to start it, it wouldn't even turn over. No lights. No noise. Nothing. Called the towing and service company that was on the building and the man said for my husband to try and jump it off with our own jumper cables from my car. Still nothing. My husband called him back and he said he didn't want to come out there and fix the problem. So we called UHaul. First they told us to call the rental place. I told them we already did. They said the rental place could switch out the truck. The owner said no, even though there were two other trucks there. After speaking with 3, yes 3 uhaul agents, we had to file a roadside assistance ticket when we weren't even on the road yet. We had to wait another hour for the technician to arrive. He changed out the battery because he said it was one of the worst he had ever seen. The owner of the rental/towing/body shop should have changed that out to begin with. Those trucks are supposed to be checked before being put on the lot. It was not. Negligence. Pure negligence. We were moving my elderly, disabled mother in law. That put us almost 3 hours behind when we had driven two hours from Tennessee to move her. We even called the location five hours prior to arrival before we booked the reservation. This needs to be fixed and we would like a refund of some sort. Do not recommend this location for any service.

David GThis not about the location, but U-Haul over all. It's crap that you make someone pickup a truck in a location thats in a different town and then charge them for those additional miles. I wasn't able to pick my jey up at the tight time because they put the wrong key in the box. But I get charged for additional time. U-Haul is garbage.
Darrell TU-Haul central booking absolutely is the worst experience I have ever had, I promise never to rent a vehicle of any kind from U-Haul again will certainly not be recommending U-Haul to anyone.
Martin DI don't know that it would matter but the trailer was "returned" right at 18 hours after it was actually returned. I was told on the phone by this location to leave by the fence if it was after they had closed and the following morning they would mark it as returned the evening before. Instead they waited until afternoon of the following day and marked it returned. Like I said I doubt it would make any difference since I was not charged an extra day but it is not what was explained to me when I called them. I compared my photos with time stamp to the return receipt to determine the discrepancy. I don't like to be lied to.

Tammy HNothing wrong with location. Problem was one of the two lights on the tow dolly worked when the truck brakes were applied. Only one chain provided to attach vehicle to tow dolly. Was told weeks in advance that 20 foot truck dollu and blankets would be available at Pocahonsas location. Two days before departure received call from U that 20' not available there but could get one 40 miles away in Paragould. Had to drive to Jonesboro to pick up blankets. That was 100 mile trip. Very poor organization. Tow dolly should be checked out before being rented. Delta U very helpful.

James ETruck was suppose to be returned at 9, we returned it at 8:30. I get a call later in the day about my late equipment. Our truck didn't get checked in til 2:30. Thankfully I didn't get charged extra bc I would not of been a happy camper. I wasn't happy when I heard our stuff wasn't checked in yet.

Donna SThis is the only place in town and it is fine. This comment is for corporate not the franchisees. I was given two days and 216 miles to do the move. The franchisee in Branson (the only one that had the truck I needed) is way north of town and my house is south of the next town south of Branson. So by the time I picked up the truck and drove it back home I had 25 miles on the counter and had not even left town. Additionally, I took a longer, safer, 4 lane road instead of the shortest 2 lane windy road. You need to allow more miles for the safe travel rather than just using Google to calculate the trip and have it do the shortest mileage. There are other safety concerns that should be factored in.

Gena MThe answers for this location is based on visual appearances at the time the vehicle was dropped off and keys left in night drop off between 5 & 6 PM on the same day as picked up and telephone communications with personnel "prior to the trip" and the following Monday, the first day the dealer was open for business.
Woodrow OOur location wasn't Cook's Wrecker Service. We had to drive 12-15 miles south for the truck we needed. Inside back of truck had to be swept by U-Haul dealer before he let us take it.

Walter NVery upset with customer service at Uhaul a home office. I wasn't able to use the trailer and I didn't get but a small amount back for a refund and I had to have the same rental company tow my car instead so I had to pay a lot of money and never used the trailer.
Patricia SWorst driving truck I have ever driven. Vibrated due to a bad front tire, no power, and needs to be replaced! Seats were uncomfortable! Not the fault of the rental place. Had to drive 30 miles from home just to pick up, uhaul needs to have trucks available to the customers where they need them. The extra mileage and $50 reductions was eat up in gas.
Stephen SThe rental truck was secured under emergency conditions, and the experience was very unsatisfactory. Had I had the choice I would have returned the truck immediately. What you, that is U-Haul, can do is provide equipment that is ready for over the road use. the vehicle I rented was difficult to hold to even 60mph with less than a 1,000 LB, and that was only on perfectly smooth road surfaces. load due to the suspension being so rough. I was continually sawing the steering to keep it on the lane. Night time driving was made more difficult by wipers completely worn out and the driver side washer inoperable. The only safe speed was under 55mph which meant trucks were passing me at plus 20mph in the dark and rain. I am a former OTR driver, and I was very uncomfortable. Imagine a typical consumer behind that wheel. I will not rent from U-Haul again.
KEVIN BY'all charge for gas when the truck has more gas than I picked it up with. I have used y'all several times and my experience was not good U-Haul

Brandon HMr Cook was very rude both on the phone and in person. I called to confirm a truck on two different occasions and was told that he was too busy and that I would have to call back. Was told he would be there at 8:00 am and I had to call him at 8:10 and he told me he was 10 minutes away. I called the customer service agent I had been dealing with, Tammy, and she had to call him to check his location. When he arrived at 8:20 am he was very belligerent toward me. Asked why I had called the office and got him in trouble that if I was trying to intimidate anyone that I had picked the wrong person. When I told him that I would be contacting U-Haul again he replied with "I don't give a shit who you call." This is very unprofessional and not what I think of when I see U-Haul.

Nick Dcart had a wheel that was flat on one side, made it hard to roll. Employee who done paper work seemed put out that he had to do a rental, obviously his wrecker business is his priority.
