I was given a truck that had a gas leak. When I inspected the truck there was no evidence of a leak. But when I got it home the 'patch' underneath on the gas tank was leaking out. I would think the Uhaul location would have inspected this before putting the truck back out on the road.

Again no indication this location didn't have U-Haul boxes and this would not allow returns of unused items. I blame the website more than these locations. The process of renting a truck and getting materials SEEMED easy but was in fact deceptive and caused needless extra trips to additional locations. I'd be hard pressed to recommend U-Haul for anything.

The truck was so dirty, almost uncomfortable to even sit in it. It smelled like smoke. Then we received the invoice and I was charged for an extra day for no reason. Overall experience is bad!

This comment is for Uhaul. Replace the old GMC truck unit with new one so that it has latest audio system and navigation system which can be helpful during long distance moving. Overall very good experience.

It is imperative that the truck you're going to rent is operable. My experience was frightening I heard a sizzling sound continuously while I was driving to the point of maybe losing break fluid. Again it was fearful because at times it would not stop. I had to stay at a distance to prevent any accident. A test drive and check any other mechanical issues that maybe unaware would be sufficient before allowing the customer to leave the lot. I brought this matter to the attention of the team office workers and to no avail, showed a lack of concern. No feedback. The only concern showed was collecting payment. I had to request a receipt. I'm very disappointed, I'm from California and was looking for the same outstanding service. I guess its true its no place like home.

The throttle will stick and the brakes will not stop the truck. Very dangerous!!! The cargo door inside has rotten wood, with hinges falling off. We told this all to them and they did nothing about it. Then they changed us for gas, when we returned it with the same about we got it with. They said it was not filled to pick up level. It was, but with no pictures, they changed us. The truck is a death trap and a lawsuit waiting to happen when the truck don't stop and hits a car or something. The truck should be condemned!! We spoke with corporate U-haul and told you about this. You told us you would speak with the location manager and they would call us. Never received a call from them!!

The rate was good, 39.90 a day but I can't figure out what is a rental charge of 79.99 dollars. I don't mind paying the 39.90 a day rate but what is a rental charge. Lesson learned, I will NOT be BACK. These hidden fees will get you. 

The U-Haul workers was not at the store for my appointment. I wait over 25 minutes for two employees have a lunch together. The Van rented didn't lock the rear door.... I not able to park on the streets or parking lot. The Van smell terrible and also was really dirt inside the cabin.

Entire experience was awful. Not just this location. I rented from a first location and when I got there no one was there and called corporate they said no one left your truck out, have to go to another location. 25$ ride later I get to next location. They tell me they don't have a van for me, I show reservation , and they say I can get the van till 12pm (it was 935am) but I laid till ~530 or so. So I have to do everything I planned for in 7 hours I had to do half of it in 2. It was awful. I got charged more than corporate said I would too. Y'all stink. 0/10.

This location provided the best service I have received from any business in many year's. I sold my home and my daughter had only a short time to move her family. She needed to rent a truck and storage space. She needed extra time for the truck and more storage space. The two associates at Compass Storage met her need for additional time and space and helped her find ways to get the job done at the best prices. They were so patient and calmed her anxiety about her mammoth task. They met her needs and went beyond to ensure she got exactly what she needed at the best price and kept her sane and smiling. I would recommend this business to anyone needing storage or truck rental! They were amazing!

I was charged twice for picking the truck up and dropping it off and was not informed I would have to pay the entire total twice before paying to use the truck. Very unsatisfied and bad communication on the fact that I was not I would have to pay the full price again for the truck basically paying for the entire truck rental after its use. I was okay with pay for any extra miles and insurance but paying for the truck itself again was not specified at all. Until this is fixed I won't change this review thank you.

I don't like I was charged for two gallons of gas. I put 2.5 gallons in truck before returning. The gas tank was just past half full when I got it and it was just past half full when I returned it. I drove less than 20 miles so there is no way it used 4.5 gallons total. That was a big rip off.

The back sliding door was very difficult to close. It was clean. This location tried to charge us $30 for gas. We received the truck on 1/4 of a tank drove only 20 miles for the whole move. We put $15 in the tank which was 3.5 gallons of gas. They called and said the tank was at 1/8 of a tank. We disputed that statement. They did not do a checkout of the vehicle when we returned it. It was very cold and unusually windy that day so we figured it was about the weather. We were going to dispute the charges. Don't use this location!

For some reason, my truck was down to be return to a location I did not choose. The woman at this Duluth location was not helpful, was rude, and hateful. She just told me she was going to charge me $250 for returning the truck to the wrong location. I was also charged for an extra day even though I returned the truck before midnight the same day I rented it. I still haven't been able to clear that up.

I would definitely not recommend this process to another individual. I was unaware of any additional fees that would be processed upon arriving to pick up the rental, signing the agreement, and dropping it off. First off, the individual at the front desk did not even check the truck for damages, check the tank to confirm, nor to even walk me to the truck. When dropping off the truck, I was asked to leave it in the back of their location/drop off location. The fuel was refilled back to where it was upon taking the truck. I was charged for not refilling the tank (when I did) and for all these other fees I knew nothing about. I was charged one amount when picking up the truck and the individual at the desk told me I had to pay $70, then I am charged for more? Such a lack of communication and accountability.

WAY overcharged. Paid for 60 miles at .79 cents a mile during pickup. ended up using 23 miles more than paid for. Got charged $47 for 23 miles. Then got charged $27 more dollars despite filling up the gas tank before returning as instructed. Ridiculous. I have both receipts and my bank statements showing how much i was overcharged.

It was closed. I dropped off my uhaul placed keys in the dropped box. The third party moving company never showed up I was stranded no help as a single female this was very disappointing I had to ask strangers to help and then pay them. I want my refund from Get Busy moving and cleaning.
