I was to get one month storage free and then pay $125 a month there after. The billing I received was for $165 and now disputing that.

James SLocation was great. Self-storage staff, Michelle, was able to help us, because U-Haul couldn't. Their wait time on the phone was 20 minutes, I was transferred and had to wait more etc..and they kept telling me to use the app, but I kept stressing that their app wasn't working at the time, so Michelle really stepped it up and helped us with our reservation and order. No offense to U-Haul, but they were unable to assist us at pick up.

She tried to have me back the dolly which jackknifed but it was my fault. She then complained about where the dolly went even though it was the only place I could safely get to while lifting the whole dolly alone.

Benjamin NNothing...except -- and this is true of ALL U-Haul Neighborhood Dealers I guess -- they can't do any fixes/adjustments as they don't have the technician/tools or parts. For example, the U-Haul hitch/ball I already had on my truck (a large/taller stainless-steel U-Haul hitch no longer made/offered) was a bit too high for my liking (wanted the trailer to ride closer to level than it was), so could see I needed either to get the hitch's ball adjusted (ball reversed) or get a new hitch/ball (with a shorter drop) -- can't get this done at a Neighborhood Dealer as only a U-Haul facility has a technician, "hitch install shop" and required tools. Otherwise -- for just picking-up a trailer and being on your way (nothing else needed), Neighborhood Dealers are fine. The lady who took care of my hook-up and U-Haul sales-contract processing that day was very nice and helpful. Only thing I would suggest is a bit of something like WD-40 on the threads/wheel/knob uses to tighten the hitch down onto the ball, as rain/snow/ice there in Colorado can rust them a bit since they are stored outside in the weather -- it was a but difficult turning the knob (especially in freezing/windy weather!) due to some apparent light rust (guessing that was the cause) on the threads.

Mark D | Overall ExperienceMy items were filthy when I moved out. If they had not been wrapped, furniture would have been ruined. I expected some dirt due to items being stored however, what I found was excessive. I have used alternate storage units in the past, for tge same amount if time, and did not have 3/4 th of the dirt on items then. When completing the final sweep out, I found the seal at the bottom of the unit to be cracked which allowed for this to occur. Regular checks on the condition of the unit, to keep items free from excessive damage, obviously were not completed. I had to use my car headlights and phone flashlight for light when going to remove tge lock after clean out due to the poor lighting in the complex. I went by the office during listed business hours to find out how to close my account out, only to find a sign indicating- we are out of the office with a phone number to call for emergencies. They will not refund your money if you move out prior to tge last day of the month. There are better and also cheaper storage companies in the area who will give a refund on days not used and who do not increase their rates almost every four months as this facility has done over the past year.

I don't know why someone thought it was a good idea to hamstring your frontline customer service, but that is effectively what has happened and I will likely consider other options next time to avoid the hassle.

Connor BThe security of the facilities was what I expected and I felt safe storing my items there. However, I do have one major complaint. Your facility is next door to a pet cremation. The levels of ash I found inside my unit, completely covering my belongings was horrible and sad. Everything in the unit needed to be cleaned and somethings were ruined. I would have loved to be warned about this issue because it is preventable. You could have told me (or any costumer) that pet ashes entering units is a common issue and then I (and other costumers) can take measures to prevent this issue. For example by covering cracks in the door.

CANDACE BMy son at last minute had to go to Texas and thus we had to extend the planned rental an extra day and ultimately an extra week. When I spoke with Raven of Colorado Springs scheduling office to extend the rental, she rudely stated that the trailer was to be rented out to someone else by noon. She then placed me on hold and upon her return, she announced that it would be an extra $40/day even though during my earlier 6/15/2020 conversation with her, Raven stated that the cost would be $25/day. Additionally, two other agents told me the same. When I told her that, Raven flatly refused to listen or delete the $40/day extra charge and said the total would be $65/day plus taxes. When I asked her to let me talk to her supervisor, she retorted "I am the manager in charge here, there is no one higher than me at this time". I reminded her that there was corporate structure to which she stated, "It doesn't matter, you will ultimately have to go through me as I am the person to whom they will send you and the charge will be recorded as $65/day. Raven was rude and appears to be accustomed to bullying customers with her managerial authority. I had to go through corporate U-Haul customer service to file an to appeal her charges. Because all conversations were recorded and reviewed, Raven's extra $40/day charges were dropped. Other than Raven 6/15 and one other time, I found everyone involved in the process to be extremely professional and helpful (Venessa 6/16, Kelly, Jyra 6/18, Monica 6/27, Vanita W-6/22). I would rent from U-Haul again but never have Colorado Springs, CO as a drop off location. Also, the drop off location was changed from the original one to the location on 330 Karen Lane without reason.

Tim SThe first issue is that my rental was confirmed for 5905 N Nevada Ave. However, Uhaul decided to move my reservation 15 MINUTES AWAY! to Karen Lane. This resulted in an extra hour for the moving company I hired to be charged as well as 8 miles of extra charges and of course gas cost and logistics on my end in my personal vehicle as well. SO MUCH FOR THE $50 GUARANTEE. I will truly never use this company again. Reservation #: 29947456

They showed up 2.5 hrs late in a tire down camper hopped out smelling like booze. The first boxes out they dropped down the stairs breaking multiple things. Once loaded they did not secure load witch caused for my dresser to be permanently damage . And when they left. They didn't put slider back in and didn't come back to fix it. Witch resulted in more delays . On our way back to the unload location I waited for another 25 mins and my wife seen them parked in a close by alley and walked up and seen them smoking drugs. I wouldn't recommend these people they do not care about you stuff and should not be around kids . C &M. MOVING 2AS THE CREW . PLEASE WARCH OUT FOR THERE

Adam D | ReservationThere was no appliance dolly which I had reserved. The staff first tried to send me to another location for the whole rental. I was dropped off there, so not a possibility. She then stated the district manager knew they had reservation for an appliance dolly, but did nothing about it. while i got 50 dollars off my rental, had to go to another location for the dolly, overall I lost about 90 minutes out of my day. Note the windshield was so streaked and dirty the washer fluid wouldn't clean it.

An attendant told me that they didn't have a trailer for me! In my concern, she just maintained that there was no trailer. She said that she call someone. I called the number that she was going to call (but she didn't) and that person said that there would be a trailer and that it was in the notes. I called back to the pickup location and explained that. She said, "oh there it is". REALLY!?!

It was apparent there were repairs made to the location of the damage but they had long since come apart. I made repairs myself to prevent further damage and to prevent equipment from coming apart during use while in my custody. Chain rubber retaining bands were missing. Bands were taken from another piece of equipment.
