The customer service representative was not helpful at all. There was no pre inspection or walk around to explain anything on the truck. The mirrors needed to be adjusted and he did not tell us that we had to have an Allen wrench to move them. We had to purchase a set in able to drive the truck safely. This was not our first time renting a U Haul and we are very dissatisfied with the pick up service.MARGIE S.

Sweep out trailer before renting it, and in this particular case, wash the soda pop like dried up spillage on the trailer floor which was very sticky. This trailer needs a full interior steam cleaning, especially aft floor corners where there is gooey residue which comprised the keeping of furniture clean.WILBUR J.

You have improve simple workflows such as allowing users to simply press a button to declare the equipment is ready for the next customer. This creates conditions of compromised safety, such as I experienced, where trucks dropped off may not be cleaned before next use, but the button on the app during drop can simply be mashed as "clean and ready for next customer" even when clearly not true. I submitted photos and had a terrible time getting the dirty truck released to me via the app. I did the right thing when I dropped off by stating "no" in the app that the truck should be cleaned prior to next use due to windshield and safety concerns. I now received a cleaning charge even though the truck had less bugs than when picked up. Very frustrating and Uhaul has limited customer service, I spent 40 minutes on hold while attempting to pick up the truck, finally hung up and accepted the dirty truck! I should not be charged the silly 25 dollar cleaning fee. Uhaul needs to look at their workflows and how they allow for gaps.Danny P.

My entire experience was bad. I requested a truck at 730am. Instead you chose another pick up location that didn't open until 9 AM. My order had conflicting messages about pickup locations. My drop off location was changed as well from my reservation. I dropped off same day and was not eligible for any refund. Poor poor customer serviceMichael K.

Bald tires on the trailer. So bald that one gave out in the middle of Montana. Kept the tire to show friends and family. Also the one storage manager left for two hours as soon as I got to the location. Really nice waiting in 115 degree heat when it took five minutes to send me on my way.Samuel B.

I wasn't told I would need an adaptor for the lights then the location didn't have it and I had to run to a couple different places to find it. Only thing it said on website I would need was ball hitch - never renting a trailer before I had no idea what I needed so it could have said that and saved about an hour of my time. Also I reserved for Walla Walla and then was called night before and was told I would have to drive an hour away to pick it up. If they didn't have them in Walla Walla why was I given three options where to pick up?? The whole experience cost me an extra 3 hours total - not the fault of the place i picked up at (though they could stock the adapters) but of the online system. So I don't have problem with either location but I definitely would NOT recommend uhaul online system to order a rental.Aaron K.
This is the second time I have rented a trailer from this location, it is clean and well maintained and the staff is very courteous. The only thing I would improve not referring to this location but U Haul should be able to order trucks or trailers to more convenient locations.DAVID LYLE W.

The manager of the store nick martinez we went to was rude very unprofessional, treated us customers liked didn't matter he talked back to us the paying customers just because I was telling him that I had never been asked how many hours we were going to need the rental. When asked about a storage unit I told him I had reserved one online and he didn't care he said that didn't matter if he didn't have it the reservation I had was wrong, how are we supposed to know this when online it recommended we rent a storage at that location and got confirmation but yet he said that didn't matter. This needs to be reported to upper personnel we were treated so poorlydolores M.

Was told by the employee to bring it back to the same place I picked up even though my return reservation was to a different location in the same road he said it wouldn't matter. Well surprise I got charged and extra 150 !!! 400 dollars to go from tri cities to Moses lake in a day !!! Recommend you go somewhere elseMatthew B.

Very unprofessional and the guy who runs it these days doesn't run it efficiently, conveniently or in an acceptable manner. I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business there. He takes your money before knowing if product rented is available and wastes your time with excuses of product being unavailable or that you even rented the product in general. (Regardless of whether it's a truck or a storage.) The guy there is rude and careless about customer satisfaction. He takes no consideration towards anyone else's time or money wasted towards working with uhaul to get a job done. Definately not a wise business choice to associate with someone as unprofessional as the guy who runs the facility.Diego M. | Overall Experience
It was very inconvenient that I had to drive 32 miles out of my way to pick up a trailer when I gave ample notice (1 week) only to find out that the only guarantee I had is that they would find 1 for me. If customer satisfaction is that important to you you should figure this issue out. Please feel free to call me if this is of real concern to you as I know I would make suggestions that would make sense to you!!!DAVID LYLE W.
This was not our original pick up site. We were contacted at 6:45 the night before and told he had to drive 60+ miles further away. I called uhaul and was able to get a closer location which I was told was not available He told me we would get $50 guaranteed reservation refund which we didn't The employee at pick up location was great and very efficient.John H.

I initially tried to use the contactless pick up via my normal web browser (safari) and could not get it to work. I contacted customer service and was told to download the app. I tried again with the app and it again would not let me upload a photo of my driver's license. I contacted customer service again and was told to use chrome to access my account. At this point I was at the Clearwater location for an hour trying to get my rental truck. I was able to access my truck with Chrome. I would not do a contactless truck pick up again as it added a lot of frustration after an already long day. I'm pretty tech savvy, so this cannot be an isolated incident. Something that is supposed to make my experience easier and safer was anything but. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, but not really able to do anything for me made for a terrible experience.Ashley G.

I called at 5pm and was told that they would be closed before I could get there but just to drop it off in the gravel Lott so that's what I did. I am not sure why Uhaul doesn't put a young lock on there trailers so no one steals them. Must be making enough off of stupid people like me that it's very easy to just buy a new one if one gets stolenRonald H.
I want to start by saying that I have rented uhauls for quite some time now, both under my name, and my wife's, extremely often. I have had a few hiccups here and there, but over all never had a problem that wasn't solved. After this last rental, there is no chance I'm ever renting one again. Where to start, I arrive at the location, and the rank of weed hit me like a train, usually I like the smell, but it smelled like Cheech and Chong owned the place. Moving pat that, there was no one around. I sat and waited 16 mins, nothing. Got fed up, went on my phone and just made the reservation and arranged for pick up in 30 mins so I could go run another errand. Go pick trailer up, and the employee Nick was sitting behind the counter with his buddy. To be brief, he more stoned out of his mind, wouldn't focus on helping me cus his friend and him were talking about plans for the night, when I mentioned waiting there earlier he said â€œoh yeah I saw you, I was next door talking to my buddyâ€, oh okay cool. Anyways I got out of there because I was in a rush to make a 5 hour drive that night. Fast forward, I end up not going and leave following morning, time flies and I decide to stay the night in a hotel and would just keep the trailer for another day as I told Nick I might do. 8:44 in the morning I get a phone call from a girl asking if I had returned the trailer because they need it, since I was just waking up I was out of it but said, â€œno I decided to keep it another day like I had told the guy that helped meâ€, I hear some mumbling and someone aggressive saying something like no fuck that, and then she asks if I can repeat that again, so I do, at which point Nick comes on the phone barking at me about how he never said that and he needs the trailer there in the next 15 mins. In a calm, annoyed and well demeaning tone I say â€œlook man, idk what you're saying but I clearly told you I might keep it an extra day when you were hooking up the trailer. I actually said it twice because the first time, you looked lost. Then you said okay that's fine but if you decide to return it after hours just give me a call before we close so I can have it noted. But I'm 5 hours away, you're more than welcome to come grab the trailer.â€ He then said he'd allow it this time even though he â€œtold meâ€ I had to bring it back. We hang up. 10 mins later I get a call from him again saying my card declined lol. I tell him that's a mistake try it again, he says it declined. I said nope, and read him my card number again. Now he says invalid prepaid card, so 3 more times I repeat it to him, with the same response, whatever I told him I'd just pay him cash once I got there, they had a deposit on my card anyways. He goes off about how it's a new reservation he needs a card, and asks for another card. It took me 6 years to stop using and pay off all my credit cards, and thank God I haven't had to use them through this pandemic, and I wasn't about to let Nicks bruised ego change that, so I told him I'd have my brother go in and put his card on file within the next few mins. Call my brother, explain the situation, and of course right away he goes in. After he's done he calls to tell me that young girl was the receptionist, and he could tell Nick was trying to act like a â€œbossâ€ in front of her, and he even treated him poorly. Anyways, next day I drop off the uhaul after hours because I would have seen Nick, I would have put him, and his storage unit living ass in his place pretty damn quick. The guys a middle aged, receptionist/night time security guard at uhaul and he was talking to me like I'm trash. Anyways, following day I went and bought a new 6x12 enclosed trailer. I could have easily before, but it's an eye sore to have in my driveway, but I figured I'd rather pay to have it parked somewhere than to have to deal with some bullshit like this again.
