Michael M.We picked up a van this morning and used it for approximately 6 hours to haul clean boxes from our air-conditioned storage unit to our rental apartment. There was straw and sand on the floor of the van when we received it, but I did not complain to the manager because it didn't look like it would transfer to my boxes. After we returned the van, we noticed a $25 cleaning fee on our final invoice. When my husband called Mike to ask about the charge, he told him that we left 3 soda cans in the van and there was sticky liquid all over the dash. We did not dispute the 3 soda cans, which we forgot to remove, but there was no sticky liquid on the dash. $25 to clear out 3 soda cans from an already dirty van? Sounds like a scam to bilk more money out of unsuspecting renters to me. Shame on you! And here I was, ready to write a positive review for excellent service and what we got was royally ripped off.

I asked for a receipt and his comment was “if you kept track if your mileage, then you would know what your bill is!†He refused to discuss the customer service issue that a mistake was made with the reservation and blamed me. He is not customer service oriented and doesn't appear to care about taking care of the customer. His whole attitude is crappy.

Kevin S.I had the “WORST†experience at this U-Haul location and with U-Haul online scheduling. I can't even rate them! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I WILL NEVER, rent from this location ever again! ☹ The agent that processed the truck rental to me at Choice Furniture 2020 NW Federal Hwy Stuart, FL 34994 was very rude, very disrespectful, and provided poor customer service. He should really be trained on proper customer service etiquette or even fired! That's how nasty and disgustingly rude he was verbally and in person. Upon my arrival to the location, I was not acknowledged with a friendly smile or welcome. Although I did the online verification process to shorten my time at check-in, I was still questioned and asked for my information even though I informed the agent I completed all of that online. If that's the case, then U-Haul honestly need to remove that option from the site as it defeats the purpose and it isn't convenient to us customers. Upon completing the check-out process of the rental, the rude agent handed me the keys to the truck and simply stated you have truck DC etc. which is outside. He did not say thank you, He did not acknowledge me as a customer who just did business with him. I thought just like at any other U-Haul facilities I've been to, the agents engaged with their customers and showed appreciation! Here I am thinking we would be walking over to inspect the truck together but when I turned around, he dismissed me and proceeded to working on another truck. He did not do a walk-through vehicle inspection with me to ensure everything was okay! Which resulted in me having to find the truck on my own, further delaying me as I had to go back into the building to get him so he could make note that there was a several damages to the truck that was not marked with an X as U-Haul normally does that. The truck was not cleaned nor sanitized as I had to go get my own cleaning supplies from my car. I brought it to his attention and his response was I think it is and shrugged his shoulders and walked away. At that point I just had enough and left. As a paying customer, I will NEVER EVER rent from this location again. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day but that's just how this individual is. Miserable!! Upon completion of the rental, I returned the truck before they opened that morning, so I called them when they opened to verify the return was complete and to get what the final amount I was charged? I got the same rude, arrogant agent who stated he did not know what I was charged, and I would have to check my email or contact customer service. When I asked him why he couldn't provide me with that information over the phone? He told me he just couldn't customer service would be who I could contact. I ended the call and contacted customer service to learn that he tried to charge me for supplies and equipment that I never had or used. (So be sure to make sure you check your receipts if you rent from there) All the U-Haul facilities I've rented from in the past, the agents were always friendly, very customer service savvy and people person. They took their time to truly assist you and provided excellent service. I cannot say the same for this location as this was the WORST service ever! I am still waiting to hear from the Regional Manager Cal.

Provided smaller vehicle then called to say original vehicle was available and if I wanted to secure booking by picking up a day early and paying extra day. Never received so many calls on a uhaul rental. Also said truck was full of gas and to return as such when in fact was below a full tank.
JENNIFER L.I booked a 26' truck two weeks prior to our move and a day before received an email that the reservation was updated. The pick up location was changed to a location 45 minutes away . When I calked U-Haul the costumer service representative gave me not solutions so I have to ask for a manager who gave us $50 credit. Although I appreciated it that , the distance was a huge inconvenience . This is part is about U-Haul as a company that does not respect their costumers . On the other hand, The service we received from Mike from the location we picked up the truck was excellent! He offered great costumer service. Communicated with me through the whole process to endure that we will have the truck with no anymore inconveniences. He was friendly and professional. If you are renting a truck my advice is not to do it online. If you live in Stuart call Mike directly!
