Location hit me with $20 after hours charge even though I rented during business hours and returned an hour early using their key drop. This after first location did not have our vehicle in their system for pickup even as it was sitting in the parking lot and I'd reserved a week in advance.

CHARLES TThe app and confirm to my cell never allowed me to check in online and our pickup was earlier than the location opened (7:30am vs 9:30am) which is VERY late the last week/weekend of July when UGA kids need to be out of their apartments and homes). The issue would have resolved if technology didn't fail, which check in never provided the code to access the before/after hour lockbox for the keys. This turned into 40 minutes on the phone w/ a UHAUL rep to try and figure out and get us our keys and on our way. It was seriously messed up despite having rented UHAULs before, successfully using the app before.
SHELLY HIt was frustrating deciding/calculating the gas just before I returned the truck. If you are going to S A Y you are charging $30 for drivers who did not properly refill the gas tank (before my entrance), then doggone it take the time to refill it properly before I am assigned this vehicle ! Positive: Although the 10 foot truck has a steering lock issue , the morning after, your C S dept. got me help r e a l l y fast. The truck proceeded to drive back fine to the original Chase Street location in Athens, Georgia.

Amy LI made a reservation for a 10' truck and you switched me to a 15' truck. I picked a location I wanted to pick up the truck and you switched the location twice prior to my pickup with the last switch being the night before. I went to the location for the pickup and they did not have a truck that I could use. This process of finding this out took 25 minutes with almost know communication from the gas station employee that I was working with. I then had to go to a third location to get a truck. This wasted over an hour of my time. The worst part is this is par for the course with U-Haul and something similar to this has happened the last three times I have rented from U-Haul. I will be looking for another truck rental company. You have too many "dealers" with too few inventory and very little experience in handling the rental process. The customer experience is very poor.

ANTHONY ADropped off with more fuel than when originally picked up and they tried to show the fuel lower to gain some income. The customer service person at U-Haul corporate, Melanie, did a great job resolving this issue.
jim pHad to bang on door to get access. The Truck front windshield was covered in bugs as was the front of the truck. The oil change indicator light came on. Inside of the cab you could tell someone smoked in it and I had to open the windows to get the smell out. You should make your trucks non-smoking. Gas was only 3/4 full and I returned it to the same level, but I was stilled charged $10 for more gas.

Charles PThis was initially done online completely, automated pick up an hour and a half before the doors open. This would have let us avoid some of the traffic we thought. My phone signal was weak and struggled to get through the process, not UHAUL's fault but could be avoided with a Wi-Fi provided since that's what is required. Once we got the truck neither the dolly or the hand truck was present. The smartphone solution was to speak with a customer service person. Additionally, the check engine dash light came on. So we waited till the office opened. This person listened to our issues and ultimately provided an alternative unit. But this was not handled by anyone who wanted to provide customer services. Some of the answers we received were; " we were not open yesterday so we couldn't have loaded the (dolly and hand truck) equipment " & "I don't work for UHAUL, you should have called customer service in the first place." So I can't recommend anything positive about this place.

Deborah DGreat experience. The young lady that checked me in and out was awesome. The one thing I would let y'all know is that the trucks were all parked in the grass area behind the concrete parking lot. There are several parking spot barriers that separate the two. There are open spots where the barriers allow a drive through, but they were hard to see once in truck. I know it's nit picking but we love y'all's service and wanted to give you a heads up.

Was remarkable from beginning to the end. From start to finish they were truly transparent in every single step. Even to returning the Uhaul the end cost. They treated my like were one each other from birth while at the same time remaining professional. Try awesomeness.

Joseph TThe car had ashes from a previous smoker, which only bothered me because it was evident the car had not been wiped down despite COVID-19. Additionally, the store manager Ally Hemphill was very rude. We returned the vehicle an hour late due to delays from our movers and she charged us a full extra day despite a lot full of the same vehicles. It wasn't the charge that was frustrating but how she handled the situation. I'll never go back to this location.

Alfredo LTraining . My rental reservation was schedule Online and when arriving at the pick up location the app was not working. I went inside the building and asked for help. My original rental was suppose to be $127 and after the man CANCELLED my online reservation and created a new my total was almost $150 . I was already low on funds and this just made me extremely upset and frustrated!
SHAQUAN MColin was the absolute best! He helped this nervous mom move in her daughter with a totally smooth experience at Uhaul! Love this guy! The world needs more like Colin.

henry rWe arrived at 9am to pick up our truck, worked with the app and could not get it to work to retrieve the keys. We saw an employee arrive at 9:15, so I knocked on the door and she said they don't open until 9:30. I explained that we were having problems with the app and was told to call customer service. Got back in the car and called customer service. We tried it from 2 phones and could not get it to work. She said I would have to go in and have their help. I stood outside of the door watching the employee at the desk until 9:30 when she opened the doors. I asked why she would t help me when she knew I was there and was told she couldn't clock in until 9:30- would I help someone if I wasn't getting paid?!? This tells me a lot about the employees UHaul is hiring. So sad. A very poor reflection on your company. Most people would choose the route of helping someone and good customer service than the pay. We did receive the truck but didn't pull out until 9:50. A much later start to our planned day of moving.
