Hire more customer service reps that can make the customer experience easier to get things done quickly. No one has hours to spend on the phone fixing an issue that can't be handled in store for some reason.Katherine T.

My reservation said that I would be able to pick up the truck at 9:30 am, but I was unable to do so because the location didn't open until 10 am. However, I waited at the location for them to open. At 10 am, there was still no one there so I called the number on the door and someone answered and when I said I was there to pick up a truck they responded, "Oh, is your truck there? Because sometimes it's not." (which was very unprofessional). When I said yes, they said, "Okay, we will be there in 5 minutes." It is clear that they did not leave wherever they were to open the location until someone called asking. It was 10:15 by the time they got there, but then I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for them to "open" before they would help me. Even once they did, they seemed surprised to know I had a reservation even though I had made it far in advance. It seemed as though they do not keep up with their reservations in a timely manner and do not care to provide timely service, but service on their own schedule when they want. It took me an additional hour to get my truck then it should have which threw off the entire day. It was very unprofessional to 1) not open when you advertise you will be, 2) have to ask THE CUSTOMER if the location has everything (because you should know your inventory & reservations), and 3) seem completely unapologetic & inconvenienced by a customer arriving and wanting service when they were told they would receive it.Sallie B.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GETTING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AT 945 EASTWAY BLVD!!! I arranged pick up for 10AM, the vendor materialized at 10:18am. No customer service at all, she just tells me check my phone twice, which I needed to do to partially check in. I was not informed of the total check in process, but I was asked to help her close out a previous rental by pressing buttons on the keypad for her so that she could get my reservation started. When she finished (or so I thought) I rushed to get my pickup completed because I rented for 3 hours and I wasn't sure how long it would take. By the time I noticed I was supposed to check in my out mileage using my phone, the link expired. Again, she did not tell me I needed to do this and I don't use my phone once I'm behind the wheel. The vendor and her account manager took advantage and charged me an extra $42, accusing me of driving 100 more miles than I estimated! I ended up renting a van that smelled like raw fish, and pinned with an extra 100 miles, when I only drove 42. I went into the building when I returned because I did not agree with the charges...she called a male and I heard the woman's account manager say that I brought the truck back late (like he watched me pull in! I got back at 12:54 ...the rental was until 1pm. and I drove additional miles). False and false.SCAMMERS! I have disputed charges have not heard back from the man yet and it has been 4 days. I will check to make sure that man and her have NOTHING to do with the location that I choose next time. I don't understand why there are no standards or inspections of these locations; it could use a deep cleaning and decluttering but most of all, and a new account manager.EBONEY C.

I had a reservation for a 10-foot truck and the truck wasn't there and also none of the dollys that I reserved were there either. We had to go out and buy our own dollys for an extra $100. The wrong size truck made it so that I had to park in a separate area from my house and carry (without a dolly, remind you) everything almost a quarter mile. I would like a full refund. This was an absolutely terrible experience and I won't be going back. Again, I expect a full refund.CATHERINE G.
They weren't there when we got there and got an attitude when we called even though they weren't supposed to be closed yet. The store looks nothing like a typical uhaul store. It also smelled terrible. There was stuff everywhere inside boxes like a thrift store, clothing and other miscellaneous items throughout the store. I'm so glad I reserved my truck online, I didn't want to be in the store at all it was so stinky. Reserving the truck on the app has to be the quickest way to reserve the truck you need. I was in the store in and out of the stinky store so fast.Thomas F.

I'm ok with the rental rates, rental tax a little higher than thought, but thats ok. I'm more concerned about the "safe tow" option that was added to my rental without my acknowledgement nor was I asked if I wanted this. If this is mandatory to have, at least the person should have brought it up during our conversation. I'm seeking a refund for this as it was not brought to my attention during the course of the entire process. My dad always complains about this "catch" as he is from Europe and his english isnt great. He always feels he gets taken advantage of so I did the rental for him and sure enough, it happen to me too and I speak perfect english. This needs to be corrected and needs to be come part of the sales/rental process cause i'm sure it happens to a lot of people without them knowing and at the end of the day, it will be their word against yours. Didn't look like a uhaul store. Upon entering, there was a whole cluster of things. A stand of jewelry for sale that had nothing to do with uhaul. Looked dirty, the uhaul truck smelled like cigarettes. She didn't provide me with a receipt. She had a garage to the side that looked like a mechanic shop. Doing three jobs at once.Michelle S.
This has by far been the worst rental experience. It was at least an hour for me to return rental. When we got there to return, the lady said she would close the ticket out later. I suggested to her to do the close out now due to my card already being charged $75.23, and I needed to know the miles and to apply a certificate I had. She said she would have to call her manager to find out how to apply the certificate, which never happened. There were other issues but just know I'll go somewhere else in the future.Demetrius B.

This location provided us with many issues. The lady in charge of this location was definitely not following standard protocol, especially when it comes to explaining to me about the price rates and charges. She only talked about the basic rate of 19.99, took my name and credit card info, gave me the key and never gave me any other explanation. I left and came right back in under an hour, to find my charges to be almost $77, specifically $66. In the beginning I mentioned that I had my own insurance, but was charged a movers coverage that I never agreed to or even heard of, which was $14. From beginning to end, my service was horrible; the lady refused to provide us with any information or printed receipts, and I felt completely blind-sighted. Is there a way I can at least get a refund of the coverage fee since the lady had never gone over anything with us, not even asking for signatures or a run down of prices and how U-Haul works? We asked for basic customer service of printed receipts and received none but the ones she sent through text messages; we also asked if we could pay in cash because we were afraid of any additional or scam-like charges on my card--and the lady said they did not accept cash. I made a reservation at one location and was sent to another location miles away. This caused me to pay extra money. My initial reservation was at 9 o'clock But when it got changed I wasn't able to pick the truck up until 10 o'clock. On top of having to adjust the time for the people that were moving me, when I went to pick up the truck the business was not open at 10am. This place didn't open until 10:45. Wow!!! I could not believe the level of service that I received from Uhaul. I would hope that you can address these issues and not treat any of your customers as I was treated. This location really needs to improve on answering the phone. I started calling this location at 10am and so did the Uhaul representative and every time the call went directly to the voicemail. No one never answered the phone. The truck I rented did not have a working seat belt on the driver's side so it dinged the entire time I had it. The gas needle did not work properly so I ended up filling the truck up instead of putting back at half full. Just not a good experience for me.Yvette S.

Truck was full of trash. My appointment was at ten and they did not open until 1030 or so. The attendant also over charged me and was rude. I put gas in the truck and was charged an additional 45 dollars. I would say the customer service here was awful.Philip H.

Ebby was very unprofessional, no receipt, added additional mileage & insurance. Had to call headquarters to get info & receipt. She told us that she's not in charge of payments and call 800 number but she's the one that took the info. The absolute worse! The truck was nasty and smelled like smoke. I do not smoke so it is literally all I could smell. It has tobacco in the cup holders straw wrappers on the floor, the lady wouldn't even get out of the chair to come look at it. I told her about this so I would not get fined. She did not check the miles and i'm not sure why my cost was over 200 for 2 days. I can't log in with the number and code. I am extremely frustrated.Paul G.

I had an issue with my card because of a spending limit and was going to pay cash instead of a debit card however they told me that CASH PRICE would be approximately $160 MORE than the initial price I procured online. I found that to be rather odd and called the bank to get a limit increase to use my card.Lewis D.
