Employees were not friendly. They didn’t show me which truck was mine. I had to walk through the mud and look at the numbers until I found it. When I did, it was so close to the truck beside it, I couldn’t even open the door. I went back inside and asked if someone could move it for me. After looking at me like an alien, he agreed. When he pulled it up, he realized it hadn’t been cleaned. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to wait and took the truck like it was.

The unattended services did not work well. Virtually no cell signal and thus could not be on the phone with customer service and using the webpage at the same time! It took a lot longer than picking up at an open store, but this was the most convenient location (to save on billed mileage & gas use) and time for me.

I was left to figure out the truck on my own. I had never driven something like that and would have felt more comfortable if someone had gone out with me to explain the different buttons and things I needed to know about it.

The interior of the truck was filthy.. cigarette ashes, dog hair, trash. There was also less gas in the tank than noted on the rental agreement.

The problem was with uhaul itself. We ordered the truck a week I advance and the day before I received texts of address changes three times of where to pick the truck up. The last time was 2 1/2 hours later than we needed to pick it up. We were paying loaders to be there at a certain time. They finally got the time changed back. I have never had this kind of trouble with uhaul before. I’m questioning whether to use them again if the need arises

My complaint is that I had wanted to get my truck in Hopewell and that was confirmed. Then the day before I had to pick up the truck I got an email to pick it up in Midlothian which was 25 minutes farther. When I returned the truck that night in VA Beach I was charged extra mileage because of this change in pickup place. I'm not happy.

We rented a U-Haul from Car N Go and the U-Haul was excellent. The Customer Service Representative needs some improvement on his Customer Service skills. Other than that we had an overall average experience and would recommend Car N Go again.

This particular truck has a problem with the ignition switch and gear selector. It is very difficult to take it out of Park unless you jiggle the ignition switch. Otherwise everything went great!

Battery died first time I stopped, which was 10 miles away from pick up point as truck was nearly empty. I was quoted/charged more than what i paid online. Could not get adequate explanation of charges so I dropped the insurance. Nightmare! Got to house and discovered no pads in truck, had to go to another location and get those.

I reserved the pickup truck for a few hours on 5/25 and returned it that evening by 10pm. I was charged the incorrect amount and have submitted 2 separate emails to customer service to request clarification on the charges. It has been 8 days since my initial email and I have not received an email or call to resolve the issue.

I picked up my rental at 14:00 and was instructed to return the vehicle at 14:00 the next day. I actually returned the vehicle at 17:00 the same day. 17:00 the next day the location calls me, accusing me of not returning the rental. When I then told her I returned the rental after only using it for 3 hours I was then accused of not leaving the keys. After my husband called and told her exactly where the key was, in the return box, there was no further phone calls so I’m assuming they miraculously found the rental and the keys that had been sitting on their property for 24 hours at that time. Would never use this location again!

Had to call to get my receipt. They had said they would e-mail it in order to keep me from waiting, but did not send it without a reminder. Also, questioned the amount of miles that I said I would use it for...only 5-6. That bothered me. I knew exactly how far I was gonna drive it.

The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful and the office was very clean. The truck, however, was not in very good shape. It looked and drove like it just came back from battling ISIS.

This rating was poor not because of the location but UHaul corporate did not get the reservation to them until 5 am the morning of pickup. Even though we requested this location and spoke with a representative, the truck pickup was scheduled for 8 am somewhere else. This new location did not have a truck available and transferred to the current location at 5 am when they were closed. As a result I was not able to pick up the truck at 8 am but rather had to wait until 11 am when they opened. This caused additional cost on my end as I had hired people to help load / unload and had to pay for the additional 3 hours waiting. I will be filing a complaint with U-Haul corporate.

There should be more options for pick up/drop off. I was charged 145$ because U-Haul changed my location 3x and wanted me to drive back across town to drop the U-Haul back off where I did not want to originally pick up/drop off. Upon pulling up to my desired location(where I was told there was not a truck that I requested, the truck I wanted was sitting there.) I filed a claim and told them my reasoning for dropping back at my "preferred" location and they said they did not care and would not refund any of my money.

I have used U-Haul numerous times in the past (and this location last time 4 years ago), I was a little frustrated with this experience. I used the app for night pickup and there were issues and I was stranded and had the area manager have to get involved so I could the truck up to start. Truck only had 1/4 tank of gas, not a big deal, but had to fill up more during the move then refill for return...kind of frustrating. Then when my movers showed up, we realized the local branch forgot to leave the furniture blankets in the truck. I had to then drive back up to the location (with movers unable to pack up furniture) to pick up the blankets. Another super frustrating moment. Overall I was very disappointed due to these issues. I would recommend have better procedures in place for after hour pickup and app usage. I would like to speak to someone because I had to drive up separately to pick up blankets which was additional gas/mileage and had to pay additional money for the labor company to wait for me to pick up blankets. I checked out and paid the full amount on the app, because I had no other choice. I can be reached at+18043853176, thank you.

What a horrible experience! I can't believe that you don't offer a 0 star rating because that is what I would have given this experience!! Not only was the location changed about 5 times but when I finally found a place not completely out of my way and was told it was set up for your 24 hour pick up, imagine my surprise when I showed up at the place that didn't open till 11 am at 7:30 to get my truck and found out that it wasn't available. Not to mention I am 8 months pregnant so I hired 2 labor guys from your site to help with moving me to show up at my house at 8. Then I spent the next HOUR on the phone, where I was HUNG UP ON by 2 of your associates, can we talk about how unprofessional that was? To then have to wait until 10 for another place to open wasting 2 hours of time at $60 an HOUR for that labor I hired since they could only move items to my lawn instead of loading up a truck!! And I had to end up paying them an additional 3 hours of labor because of this delay in getting the tuck. Not to mention the truck I got made all kinds of noises when driving it and smelled awful! I just can not believe this is the way that you treat paying customers. Would NOT recommend your services to anyone and social media will absolutely be told about this experience.

The pickup truck I rented had only 93 miles on it...great truck and great experience with the U-Haul folks here in Midlothian. I really liked being able to reserve the truck and the rate was very reasonable.

Easy process with signing up for the uhaul and quick easy in and out when picking up my van. It was also easy to drop the van back off and receive the final bill of sale. The inside of the van had not been swept out and was very dirty. It did not keep me from moving the items that needed to be moved however.

It took half an hour to check out the van online, 20 minutes of which I spent waiting for an agent to review and approve my documentation. That's far too slow for an online process. I reserved furniture pads but discovered they were unavailable by way of a sticky note on the van key. Why wasn't I called or e-mailed in advance so I could make other arrangements? I was charged for the nonexistent pads anyway. The van was well maintained but was rather dirty inside, both the cabin and the cargo area.

My husband and I made an appointment online for a location near our apartment. I received a several emails several times changing my pick up location, one of which was more the 20 miles out of our way (and we would have to pay the mileage). When I finally got a phone call from someone to explain why my location was changed so many times we figured out a better location that had our equipment available but we would have to do online self check in because the business was not open at the time we needed the truck. What was supposed to take 10-15 mins took an hour. We could not get ahold of anyone in customer service and when we finally did the lady had NO IDEA how to help us, she told us she was transferring us to someone who would help and then left us on hold AGAIN for more than 15 minutes. When we finally got the truck we found that there were only 3 moving blankets when we had paid for 24!! With that being said, at the time of return we spoke with people at the Car n Go location, he took off the charge for the missing blankets and was very friendly. We WILL NOT BE USING U-HAUL AGAIN FOR OUR MOVING NEEDS. The whole experience made an already high stress day much worse.

The location I would recommend at the CarNgo. However, Uhaul itself I don't agree with the way they charged my account early, without verifying it with me. I wasn't told that the insurance was a daily charge, it was told to me as an exact amount. I will definitely be using Ryder or Pensky in 2 weeks when we move in our new place. I received a discount from Mike, who owns CarNgo, not from Uhaul. So, think twice before using uhaul, but if you need a nice used car, go see Mike on Hull St and Bailey Bridge Road at CarNgo!!

At first when I came for my reservation, they stated there was no truck available. Despite seeing the truck on the property, the rental location stated they had lost the keys to the truck I reserved. After taking close to half an hour the keys were finally located. After returning the truck the next morning, I received a call inquiring where the truck was and asking if it was returned. It was located exactly on the lot where I had taken it from and a simple look around would have found it. I called back to state they did not find the keys (placed in the box they requested) until later. Very poor customer service experience and did not feel my business was valued. Will not rent from this facility ever again.
