Peter at Brown Enterprises was efficient and very nice. The rental process (started at the U-Haul web site) was easy and the truck was fabulous and ran great. The drop off to Megan at Peterborough Collision was very easy. The worst part about the reservation, rental, loading, driving, unloading, driving and drop off process is that I had to drive 65 miles to pick up the truck. That was inconvenient but no big deal since I was warned about it and I understood that a 26 foot truck can't always be close by. The ten mile drive to the drop off location was totally fine.

My gripe is less with the wireless transaction system because, plainly- it sucks/does not work(at all) in this location. I was unable to check in for 45 minutes as the staff figured how to go around the incompetent system. That gave me 31/4 hrs to get back before they closed(I returned 1/2 hr after closing- 3 3/4 hrs of rental for which I was charged 2 days” because I was “late.” I am contesting the last charge- which is not inclusive of the 1995&14.00&taxes= $35. $26.04 does not cover the problem but it is at least a concession...I will “use your contact form” to reach out and perhaps hear back?

I was asked to call to confirm my reservation. I left a message but did not get a return phone call. I know people are busy these days due to Covid-19 but I should have received an acknowledgment. Also, it would help to have more information about what is involved in the check-out. Some of this could have been handled online.

I am a little annoyed that the safe move insurance was added on to my bill. When checking out on the website I had to spend a lot of extra time going back to re enter information after noticing that this was sneakily added by default. I am sure you make a lot of profit with this tactic, but it's pretty annoying if you don't want to choose this coverage. I would appreciate a refund of the $14 to my credit card.

Brown's Rental has been my go to stop for last 20 years for all equipment rentals. There is simply no reason to go elsewhere. The UHaul end of it has been great too and together they can't be beat.

It's a heavy truck repair and rental business. There is a huge lot filled with large machines. Don't expect neat and tidy. But they were very friendly and helpful. They knew to expect me and were well prepared for my return. He also told me a funny story about a clueless customer who gave them a bad rating. (sigh) A nearby gas station was a definite plus when it was time for me to return my rental with a full tank.

I only use this location when everything else fails. The place is a mess and the owner is a jerk. I don't know how he finds his way to work in the morning. There really isn't a good solution for U-Haul in Southern Vermont.

When picking up the van. We were not given a thorough inspection. Only the outside. We were then charged for damage to the inside of the van which we did not do. Anthony from uhaul sent pictures of the damage. I requested pictures of the inside of the van before we took it out. Uhaul has not produced the before pictures. I am disputing this horrible charge. I learned a lesson. Take your own pictures. I refuse to pay.

I wasn't award of the charge - Safe Move coverage fee of ~15. I recall declining a fee over the phone when I reserved the vehicle, so didn't check to decline again at the point of pick up. I'm not sure that this is even an option to decline, or whether this fee is mandatory. Everything else was fabulous and easy. Will use again. Thank you, Laura
