It was a corner store in Laval QC. Maybe the agent-cashier has little experience but: - It was the worst experience I ever ever had with Uhaul. * The agent did not know we can pick up a truck with our cell phone. Thus, he could not guide me since it was the 1st time I used that application. He tried to give me the truck buy taking a picture of my Driver license and then the system jammed. I had to phone Uhaul on the helpline and waited 30minutes for there is a waiting time. Meanwhile, Uhaul was trying to reach him(the egent at the counter) and was not able to get him on the phone. Finaly an helpline agent phone me back and was able to unlock my reservation file. Finaly, I colud get my truck after waiting for 45min at the location. However, when I got the final bill, the location add without my consent the CDW... This so not helpful agent change the terms of my contract without telling me. I did not get a confimation of contract so i could not see that he made change. Fortunatly I was able to phone the Uhaul-helpline again and the charges were removed. AT THE END, I THINK THIS LOCATION IS A DISCRACE FOR UHAUL. What you can do is: B1- Make sue that every Uhaul agent at the counter knows about how to pick up a truck with the cell phone, so they acn guide minimaly the customers that plan to retrieve their truck with the cell phone. B2- Let the customers know that in Canada that the cellphone Uhaul application may not work because gps localisation and it would be better for them to use google chrome to do the pick up and return the truck. Knowing the points B1 and B2 above, I would have sucessfully pickup the truck myself within 5 minutes. I like your business and I use it often as I need. This terrible expÃ©rience will not stop me from using your services but you must to something about this case. Thank you AmosAmos E.
Very disappointed. I was charged for a bigger millage, and I was charged for an additional quantity of fuel, despite the fact that I return the truck with the same level of gas as when I received it. I called the customer service, They saw some errors , promised a credit NEVER received. Just disappointed.Igor E.
Cela prend beaucoup trop de temps pour faire la validation de l'identitÃ©. Le processus m'a pris 50 min en tout. 50 min qui est retirÃ© de mon temps de location du camion et sans aucun ajustement Ã l'heure de retour ou au montant qui m'a Ã©tÃ© chargÃ©. Et pourtant, vous nous demandez d'arriver seulement 10 min avant l'heure de la location pour check-in. Il faudrait revoir le processus de check-in avec le portable ou informer vos clients du rÃ©el dÃ©lai pour faire la validation de l'identitÃ©. On paie pour le temps de location, mais si presque 1h de temps est perdu juste pour la vÃ©rification de l'identitÃ©, ce n'est pas normale qu'aucune compensation ne soit offert.Esperancia P.
The guy at the location didn't allow us to leave the truck near our house. We had to rent far from home and he made us bring the truck back to his spot. We paid double the price because he forced us to bring it back far from us. We wanted to rent from Uhaul because we knew that we can take it from one spot and leave it at another spot. There was no equipment cleanliness to rate because you did not fullfill the contract we paid for. The stroller and blankets we ordered were not provided as ganranteed by the contract and we were forced to rent elsewhere the equipment we needed, all this extremely stressfully.nathalie A.

Have the right gas meter and mileage used and time. I was overcharged needlessly. The location was closed when I returned the truck. The location isn't the problem. The charging for something I didn't use is.Abdullah A.

Stop using this location. Man at the counter hardly spoke english or french. He didn't want to accept the vehicle. Gave us a very hard time. Called UHaul customer service. The lady I spoke to was very kind and helpful and was able to take care of the situation.Nicholas S.
It was easy to make reservation. i had the camion for les than 4 hours and run 16 km. I did. not receive the final invoice only estimation where i put 40 km. I had 2 transaction on my credit card totalized 115.19$. this is for 4 hours (19.95) + 18$ assurance + 16km*0.59$ + taxes. I did not refill the gas at the end - so would expect they charge around 20$) How do they calculate - i have no idea. My estimation was something around 70-80$ (including charge for the gas) + taxes.Andrei T.

Camion chercher au bonisoir sur st-elzear et le chinois du dÃ©panneur parlait presque pas le franÃ§ais que la.communicatiom Ã©tait presque impossible... J'ai eu des frais surprises sur ma facture pour une protection CDW que j'avais refusÃ© comme j'Ã©tais assurÃ©e avec mes assurances personnelles. J'ai essayÃ© d'appeler Ã la centrale qui n'a fait que lancer l'appel sans jamais que j'aie de rÃ©ponses. Je paie donc des frais non dÃ©sirÃ© et le services aprÃ¨s vente est horrible. The mileage was not the good one. At the end you charged me for 170 km when in reality it is 31 km. Also I asked to remove the insurance fees but still it was charged. Plus, people at this location don't seem to know how the system works. I know they are not Uhaul representatives but if they offer the service, they should be well trained. I called and asked for help and no one was able to help me. I should receive a call today but if I do not receive it, it will be another insatisfaction (more than 48h since it happened).JUAN ISAI J.

We did the reservation on Friday night to pick it up Saturday at 9 am. We were there and ready before the shop was open to make sure it would be fast. In fact, it took 25 minutes just to "make sure the reservation was under my name", but I showed the lady the contract and my IDs which is enough usually. We were asking why we were waiting, but she couldn't answer. She said "if you dont want to rent, leave I don't care". We were already angry, but then, on the last day we went at another U-haul shop to ask if we could leave the trailer there, they said " you just have to drop it during the night at the location you rented it and they won't charge you for an extra night". That's what we did, but we got charge for a third day, even if we only used the trailer 2 days. Worst experience for renting a trailer, extremely disappointed. We probably wont rent again with uhaul. They said it would cost 50$ for the weekend, but we paid 115$. We're really angry.Jessica T.

the guy don't speak French or English - only Chinese. The truck was durty. He made me pay 69.51 $ and you charge my credit card with a 108 $. I have bring back the truck 3 hours later but you charged me an other extra day. Rent on July 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. but being charge from July 13 5 p.m. to July 14 9:22 a.m. This is clearly a scam! Shame on you!Philippe K.

There was an error in the rental contract I received. The store clerk could not help me adress it. I had to call U-Haul about it, but it was already too late to correct it. The clerk gave me the keys to the wrong van. This caused overcharges from wrong mileage and gas tank reportings. I had to contact U-Haul again to correct this. I would recommend going to another Pick Up location.Maxence N.
