Sterling facility had deep potholes coming into the place, and the back lot was similar to a junk yard. Associate was excellent though. My main issue: I received a call 1 day into my 4 day rental from another U-haul location. They wanted me to return the trailer that day for another client, and texted me the different location for return (saying I could return after hours). I returned the trailer on day 2 to the location in my contract since I didn't see a U-haul at the address I was texted. I did some extra driving, wasted time, and returned the trailer 2 days early. I should get a break on my cost due to this outrageous incident!!! Please help.JOHN T.

This location was totally unlike the uhual location i'm used to using (Columbia Pike, Arlington Virginia). I've had no problems in the past with uhual, but my experience on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The van was dirty; a red mud that the van next to it had also. I realized that the location is near a lot of construction and may have been rented in the past by people with such equipment, but i had to move a fabric-covered couch and there was no available coverings or drop cloths i could buy or rent from this location.Darlene R.

I scheduled and drove to the pick up location 45715 Old Ox Rd, Sterling, VA 20166. There was a van on the lot and I was told the reservation was moved to 21615 Cascades Pkwy because of no van inventory. Once at 21615 Cascades Pkwy, I was met in the parking lot by the location operator, in the very van I had just seen at 45715 Old Ox Rd. I was misled and made to drive out of the way only to pick of the van I just saw on the original reservation lot. The location operator at 21615 Cascades Pkwy was excellent and took very good care of me in lieu of the circumstances. The van from 45715 Old Ox Rd was VERY dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.Ronald L.

I had also rented a furniture dolly and a dozen blankets. When I arrived to get the trailer and these other items, I was told I would have to drive to a different location to get the dolly and blankets (15 minutes away). That is not customer service.Wayne T.
We were overcharged for miles as well as gas. The equipment we rented was not at the shop so we had to drive out of our way to get the additional equipment and we received no creditfor the additional milesWILLIAM K.
We received a truck with almost no fuel. Our receipt was fraudulent. I was charged for SafeMove Coverage which I didn't select in my reservation process, the odometer reading is a complete lie and the mileage is higher than we used. My contract wasn't closed out until 2 days later and the representative thought it was acceptable to call me before 7a to close out said contract. I've submitted a written request to have these charges corrected and have yet to even receive acknowledgment of receipt.Robert A.

Equipment rented had very sticky stirring wheels makes me doubt your company statement that equipments had been intensively sanitized. I would suggest placing a seal of guarantee (like in hotels and restaurants) that equipment had been sanitized. Staff seems unengaged felt somewhat unwelcomed. Was not provided a receipt (was told it will be emailed, when asked) (no email received). Better training. Your staff will only be as good as you train them. Basic customer service will be much appreciated.Angelo G.

The whole experience was great. The rental fee was less than the one down the street from me. I made a very late reservation (10:30 for an 11:30 pick up). When I arrived to pick up the trailer, it was ready and waiting for me. Also, the gentleman actually came out to me while I was doing the online check in. He then put the trailer on the hitch for me. I was in and out the quickest I've ever been. When I brought it back, again, I was in and out in no time. I believe it is a family owned business and it shows. Both attendants were very nice and helpful. I never felt pressure to rent unnecessary items or question my ability to handle the trailer being an older woman. I would definitely recommend using their services!Jodi W.

The person attending the facility was nice. I will certainly give credit where credit is due. The facility and yard has a lot to be desired. The entrance to the yard was difficult to maneuver. Coming off a small road, into a tight driveway is difficult with a normal vehicle. I had a 26' truck towing my car. Once I got in the driveway, there was a small spot to put the truck and park - that was it. There was no room for anything more. The only saving grace to this event, was, I used to drive tractor-trailers for a living; if I did not have the experience, there was no way I would have gotten the equipment from the road into the driveway without running over everything in the equipment pathway. This facility is not well suited for large vehicles.HELENAA H.

I wish the drop-off process was a little more streamlined. I tried calling the office to let them know I was dropping off the truck the same day, but I didn't get an answer. When I got to the location, I didn't really know where to park the truck. It was difficult entering and exiting through that narrow path; you never really knew if someone was driving through until it was virtually too late. Despite all this, the personnel made the drop-off painless even though we had no prior contact.Wagnus P.
