The vehicle was great and the pick up process was good, however I paid for an furniture dolly and a regular dolly and 6 blankets and they were not in the vehicle when I got to my location. I had to make a trip back to the rental location to get this equipment which put me behind schedule. Luckily, there was a very nice lady there already because it was a time before the location actually opened. She was very kind and helped me get all of my equipment.

I had a contract telling me to return my equipment to one place then AFTER I returned it I got a text saying return somewhere else. I had to file a dispute and I am still waiting on my $100 deposit to be returned.

The additional items I purchased (appliance dolly & moving blankets) were NOT included with the truck during pick up. Our scheduled time for pick up was not during regular business hours so there was no one to speak to about this. Additionally the truck was damaged prior to pickup. And the AC was not working during a hot day in June. Unacceptable. Upon drop off, there was confusion and the location did not let my partner drop off the vehicle without me being on the premises. But then, when I call to discuss the situation, they won’t speak to me because “my name is not on the contract” even though I was the one to rent the truck so my email, credit card and phone number were on the account. Finally, we were only given a time limit we were allowed to use the vehicle (from pickup until 2 days late at noon). We dropped off the truck prior to the deadline and we’re told we had to pay an additional $400 for mileage. Never in the process of renting or picking up were we given a mileage limit, only the time limit. Ridiculous to charge extra for something they never told us about. Uhaul should make the situation better by reimbursing for the missing equipment I paid for that wasn’t there, plus the AC not working during the summer, and the Inconvenience of the drop off process.

The place we rented from was much lower than places in Lufkin their cost was $99.95 Plus $1.09 per mile. The Representative stated that it should be the same cost across the board.

False advertising on $39.99 price of rental. U-Haul added on a one way fee after reserving. One agent, who exclaimed she didn't work for U-Haul and made me feel like I was a bother, and then there was one that called U-Haul office and waited in hold for nearly 30 minutes to question the upcharge and got no where. Thanks for that. Truck was dented and didn't show in stock photos, so I took my own. No acknowledgement of those. Scary. Not many choices though. So good luck when you rent. Got the job done, but it wasn't too pleasant to say the least.

We got shoveled on to this dealer. The precision Auto location on University was just ridiculous. I felt sorry for the customer service people, and eventually they figured out a solution. The airbag needed repair, and that notice was right where the mileage is. It was supposed to be so straightforward...

Uhaul, Don’t send customers to one place saying they have your uhaul and then that place doesn’t. It was very frustrating having to hop locations.

I don’t think anyone is actually going to ready this, but in the event some from this company does read this, I still want my $14 back. I opted out of the insurance on my last rental to move a couch down the street and still was charged for it. I moved twice in two months this year and spent over $5,000 with this company and the least you could do is charge me what I actually signed up for. I’ll put myself in crippling debt buying a truck and trailer before I rent another uhaul again.

I have rented a truck from U-haul twice fairly recently and everything with the people at Blacklock Storage where I rented it, was great. The problems I've had BOTH TIMES were with the Uhaul check in process. Both times I returned the truck after hours and both times the app, the website, will not accept my photos to complete the return. When I tried to call the 800 number, they told me there was an hour or more wait time. Everything else was great but the online check-in/return process is a nightmare 😫

U-Haul's online check-in process is terrible. When we arrived at the pick-up location we could never get the online system to let us check in, and had to wait until the office at the location where we were picking up the truck opened and the staff helped us. Had there not been someone working at the location, we would have been without a truck for our move. Horrible experience!

24/7 Pick up was difficult and was not helpful at all and I had to return the location the next day to be verified. I gave a notice that it would be dark when I would arrive to pick up the truck and I was told that would be okay. However it was not fine because I was unable to pick up thr truck, and I had to wait 20 minutes. Before speaking to someone, the process took to long and I was not able to complete. The various things that I needed to complete while I had the truck because of the amount of time that I had to wait in order to get the truck.

U-Haul’s online rental system is a nightmare. It took us an hour and a half to rent a truck. Thank goodness for the helpful person at this location and the district manager who finally got us rolling. Ask me how many stars I would give the U-Haul decision makers who decided this process was a good idea.

Location was great. Customer service at the location was really good. However people who already have a uhaul.com account it does NOT let you add the additional information or even let you pick up the truck. It says contact assistant at the pickup location. I was on the phone going round and round with the U-Haul customer service trying to explain this.

Apparently this location does not do drop-offs very often. What should have been a quick drop off turned into 25 minutes. Personnel was not familiar with how to process the paperwork. Other than that, the property was clean and the personnel were friendly and apologetic about the wait.

I showed up at 9AM on Sat 22nd to pick up the truck at Precision Auto Clean in Nacogdoches TX and was told they did not have the 15’truck I had reserved. They did not apologize and said they would check into it. 10 minutes later they told me my reservation had been transferred across town to Black Lock Storage. Again no apology or concern for the botched reservation. I then drive to Blacklock. They did have a 15 footer, but still no apology for the botched appointment. I finally left with the truck around 10 AM. When I returned the same day, after they had closed, I checked in the truck through the app. It showed I had rented blankets which I did not. I called customer support and said I had no blankets. Still on apology for anything. Oh and the dolly I did rent had a bad wheel. Overall, this was a disappointing exchange!

Truck was very damaged when picked up. It was old and had very high mileage. Personnel tried to avoid inspection of the truck so I could point out damaged areas, presumably in order to pass on repair expenses to me. Truck had 3/4 of a tank but we were instructed to return it full. When I mentioned that the truck was not on full, I was met with exasperation and complaints that they would have to redo all my paperwork. Since it was taking so long already, I just let it go. Personnel was annoyed they had to help us and did not know how to attach the car tow (they admittedly had "never done it before"). My vehicle nearly fell off the car tow into traffic because it was not secured correctly. I eventually stopped at another Uhaul location where the vehicle was properly secured. I understand that Uhaul is trying to make its rentals more accessible by allowing more locations to rent Uhuals as an ancillary part of their business, but the quality control is taking a nose dive.
