There was no drop off lot. We had to find street parking which was very, very aggravating in NYC for a truck.James P.

I have used U-Haul before and the service you provide is great. However this particular location offered a very poor experience. The woman was rude, inpatient, refused to listen to my concerns and in fact almost refused to process my reservation because I was asking too many questions and I was asking her to please explain the self check out process. I was scheduled to move out, so I really had no option but to support this horrible customer service. I would never do it again at this location and for sure I wouldn't recommend this to a friend or an enemy. She was very unpleasant. The van itself and the self checkout process was nice and easy via the link on the txt. The bad part was the encounter with this woman at the location.BOLIVARN Z.

First off I would like to start by saying this is directly for the OLD LADY at the desk who doesn't know customer service if you printed it in BOLD letters. I rented a truck for the next day 6pm and she entered it as the same day 6pm so I had to pay extra for her mistake. I finally met a KarenJONATHANJ V.

Truck needs repair asap. Very noise under the front right wheel l thought l couldn't finish my moving. Truck has signs has been in a crash before. Bumper is broken , Head lights are out position. Right side Mirror doesn't stay put l couldn't change lane without ask my friend to hold it.MARCOS A.

Don't go here!!!! Linda, the secretary, seems to get off on being rude and unhelpful. She screamed at me and all of my friends and even threatened to take our UHaul away. She's seriously f****** crazy. Some of the things she said to us made me feel like she was messed up in the head or high out of her mind. She absolutely ruined the whole experience for us. I took photos and tried to up load (twice) the damage that was on the vehicle before driving away but for some reason the App would not allow me to â€œcontinueâ€. I had to call the number listed and spoke to a Mr. Jay-Quan who advised me that he would note my account. I returned this morning to Big City Auto to see if I can speak with someone regarding the photos and my experience regarding, and a person named Linda seemed to be having a bad morning. It seemed a bit hard for her to â€œlistenâ€ to what I was trying to convey as she was more interested in the fact that I parked my motorcycle on the sidewalk. She proceeded to tell me she has nothing to do with U-Haul and that I would have to contact customer service to resolve any issues. A bit rude in tone, I might add. She was the worsted person i have ever met in my life for 4 second. She is definitely not happy to have this job and she definitely hate trucks. She does not want to help anyone and another person came and she said i do not answer until 9 am. What is that? To give answers you need to wait time. van was dented, scratched, had left over half empty water bottles in it. person at location did not mention condition of van to me and I spent a lot of time taking photos so I wouldnt be held responsible. The lady officer at desk Saturday July 24 at 11 am on 13 street was not impolite but unprofessional. She insulted me using bad language because I asked for more details on return issues after hours Her explanation was not clear. She even said: I don't speak Spanish ?! Very poor pick up experience on the u-haul website. Website wouldn't recognize my location after several attempts. Waited 45 min for a representative and never picked up the phone. It made me very late starting my reservation and subsequently returning the vehicle late incurring an additional charge.Jonathan P.
The autobody shop that housed the U-hauls was very helpful. However, the box truck was having some engine/transmission issues that have not been addressed in a long time it seems. The U-haul check-in/check-out process is very cumbersome. In addition, the added charges (fuel charge, extra dolly charge) were enough to ensure that I will use other options next time I have to book a van.CRAIG B.

There is no parking at this location and I had to park over a half mile away. Shouldn't the woman working be responsible for taking care of that? I am not pleased at all. Beware m! Do not rent from here if you will be returning it late night. Very sketchy neighborhood and it's street parking only which is basically non existent. Drove around for about an hour before finding a spot. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere elseAlexander M.

I paid for two furniture dollies and they were not in the truck. After getting the truck keys I inquired about the dollies and I was not greeted instead I was ignored after saying hello and making eye contact. After sending my authorized driver to get the dollies, the woman at the location said both of us had to be present, together, to get the dollies meanwhile I have a truck that's running and no parking available. After everything, I was't given my dollies and the staff at this location were completely useless and weren't even attentive. Terrible place.Carlos B.
when we returned the truck on the same day about 5 on we saw the box that said keys and dropped them there. When I got my bill there was were 2 extra days on it as they said we didn't return the truck till 3 days later. This was crazy as we rented and returned the same day. I could not reach the owner so I am still looking for an email with the copy of my rental agreement to see what my final bill was.Ronni A.
I have only rented a uhaul once before, but I was deeply disappointed with this location. Staff was not very friendly and the van was pretty dirty. Plus there is no parking for the vans and you end up having to street park many blocks away. I would definitely use a different location next time.BARBARA G.

Uhaul itself is fine, but the area does not have great cell service. Big Auto & Towing personnel are so rude. Went to ask question and Linda who manages their office was not only rude but then tried to make me a new reservation through their company. I ended up going to the mechanic shop next door to use their wifi and complete self- check in. Overall the Uhaul truck was great, but I would not use this location again.Alexandra V.

When returning the van, the woman at the location was rude, not very helpful, and using inappropriate language with customers. She was also unwilling to abide by rules and regulations for returns given to us by U Haul.Thomas O.
Warn people that they will ask for "references" to prove your identity when you go too pick up van. If Uhaul doesn't believe a license is enough of an ID, state it beforehand so people know that they have to deal with this ridiculous "requirement." Staff was incredibly rude, the vehicles are located on the side of the road and not in an organized fashion. After they give you a hard time and threaten you to keep the trucks nice and finally hand over the keys, you have to walk around the block to look for your vehicle. I was shocked as to the poor customer service. The truck was surprisingly clean and seemed to be in order, which was the only saving grace of the experience but I will never rent from this location again.HALEYM A S.

I tried using TruckShare 24/7, and my experience was a disaster. The rep chatting with me said that my contacts wouldn't pick up the phone. But instead of allowing me time to contact them and let them know, she cancelled my pickup. I was stuck at the location, which doesn't have an office, in 25F weather in the wind shivering trying to figure out why my pickup was cancelled. Luckily, a very nice Uhaul employee let me sit in the van while he helped me sort it out. He had trouble getting my reservation to show up in the system, but after an hour he was able to get me set up. Thank goodness for him. After almost 2 hours, I could finally leave. I will NEVER use Uhaul 24/7 again. What a disaster.HUNTER O.

Miscommunication, lack of professionalism, location had cats and it stunk like cat's garbage, rude staff, overcharged me without letting me know in advanced. 37-24 13th St Long Island City, NY 11101 should be closed for good. I Booked the Truck online. The website had issues when I tried to check in. One employee told me she couldn't help me until 9am that they were opening. I told her I had only one question. She said she couldn't help me or answer any questions until 9am. After trying to figure out on the phone with a Uhaul employee, they couldn't help me either because I needed to be helped by an employee they suggested me to go to another location in Long Island City, but they didn't know How far was the location And I couldn't look up the address online because I had 3% battery on my phone, since I was more than 1hr trying to do the online check in, sharing location and taking pictures of my face and ID. I decided to relocate my booking to its original location and comeback at 9am. Once I got there the same employee asked me to get the handy car I needed out of the Truck I was supposed to get earlier with the tools I requested because she wanted to give me a different Truck just to clear that parking spot for her convenience. Once inside the location, the place had cats hanging around in the office. The smelled of cat piss and cat excrement was too strong (even wearing a face mask). The same employee was helping me out on the other side of the window while one of the cats was scratching and biting her... and there was lack of comunication since she didn't want to leave the intercome on. So I has to speak louder and still she couldn't hear me or answer me all my questions. She specifically told me that I could do the checkout online or she could do it for me â€œno problemâ€ she said. The Fuel was not full. When returning the Truck Which the app was not working either. It kept saying â€œunable to connectâ€ right at the last step when submitting the odometer and fuel pictures even with phone service and internet. So I decided to go inside, but they had locked the door. Then I decides to drop the keys in the â€œkeys drop off boxâ€. Few minutes later I was charge $13.97 without an explanation. Next morning the same employee called me and tells me I was going to get charged $20 for not doing the online check out and because she had to do it, and her supervisor told her so. I explained that there was a miscommunication since the beginning and she kept the intercome off 97% of the time, which she replied â€œ I did because some customers complained that is too loudâ€ but that was not my case and I was complaining she couldn't hear me and still didn't do anything about it. that she said she could do it if I couldn't but never mentioned any fees for doing it herself. I asked to speak to a manager and she said He couldn't assist me because if they receive customers physically they have to help them (didn't acknowledge I was still a customer). She would talk to him, but he was the one giving those orders. I asked her if she could call me back after talking to her, her response: â€œI'll try to do it when I have timeâ€... First time trying Uhaul and very disappointed...JOSEPH R.

Dishonest, charged my card 1 week after for a different called to get the invoice and the manager has no record or receipt of transactions or bill for why there charging my card after I returned and signed of on paperwork for the truck will be calling my bank to dispute chargers and reporting them to the better business beutoJoel H.
