Truck was a little high in usage and milage and shuddered while driving and hopped when over a certain speed on the freeway, I have used better trucks in my rental experience, but it was fine.

There is no clear key drop box situation for after hours drop off. There only seems to be a mailbox for the location with no clear uhaul markings. After searching for 10 mins in the rain and reading notes from other reviewers online I finally decided to drop the keys in the mailbox. The van was great, pick up was easy enough, but the drop off situation should reconsidered.

Got into uhaul had garbage all inside also in the uhaul had over 30 moving blankets was not told where there. Not to mention the dolly was free not strapped down moving so bad I had to stop to see what was in the back. I would never go back to this uhaul. Poor poor poor uhaul...

The rental shop (in the coin store) was excellent! Very friendly and helpful people. However, my final bill that was emailed to me, did not reflect what I was originally guaranteed. I would NOT recommend using U-haul, but this location was excellent.

It was an overall great experience! The staff was super helpful and friendly, the van was clean, it fit everything that I needed in it, and it was fun to drive! I do kind of wish the overall experience was a little cheaper, but I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

It took almost 45 minutes just to sign everything and pay for the truck because of the employees not knowing how to operate the system. The truck was also on empty so I had to put gas in it before I even got to use it, therefore spending more money than I was quoted. Everything else went well and they were very polite, just a rocky start.

Where should I begin? Both the building and the counter inside are poorly marked, so I wasn't even sure I was in the right place. When I told them my name and that I had a reservation, they almost wouldn't rent the truck to me because the street access to their lot was closed for the local Ski-to-Sea parade, even though I was easily able to drive my personal vehicle onto their lot through a back alley from another street. Then they tried to send me to another location that only had a 17 foot available (which would have been far too small). After I pointed out that I had a reservation and argued that I was able to easily drive into their yard through the back alley, they finally agreed to rent me the truck that I had reserved days earlier. But just when I thought the headache was over, they unapologetically informed me that the truck had only 1/16 of a tank of gas, and then had the gall to tell me in the same breath that I would be charged a fee for refueling if I didn't return the truck with at least a 1/4 tank. I entered the cab of the truck to find the low fuel light flashing! So the very first thing I had to do was put some gas in it. Additionally, while the outside of the truck was clean, the cargo area had not been swept out, (yet the salesmen were sure to remind me that I would be charged a fee if I did not return it swept out, myself). Unbelievably, the aggravation didn't end there! They were closed the following day when I went to return the truck, so I used the online check-in. As if that wasn't enough of a pain in the backside, I was shocked to find that there was no drop box for the key anywhere on the outside of the building -- and certainly nothing resembling the bright-orange box shown on the website! After circling the building twice, I finally dropped the key through a mail slot that may or may not have been theirs. Even now, weeks later, I'm not sure they ever actually retained the key. The only positive thing I can say for the entire experience is that the truck seemed to be in excellent condition, both mechanically and aesthetically. It is my opinion that this location is doing the U-Haul brand a tremendous disservice and, if other online reviews that I have read are any indication, I am not the only person who feels this way.

The truck smelled like there had been a dead animal in it and when I returned it I told the the staff. His response was, we know, sorry about that. The staff that first waited on me did not know the system. When the other attendant asked her if would like him to show her how to use it her reply was sure..Everyone else has.

Make a better effort to rent a vehiicle that didnt smell like dead animals had been hauled around in it for a week. And a clean vehicle would have been nice too. Your rental person knew how bad it was.

Truck was dirty. Had not been swept out in the cab or bed. The mobile app was very problematic. Multiple attempts to complete pickup. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app to drop off after trying 5 times to complete.

Easy pick up, easy to drive. Truck in great condition. I had ordered blankets. But they were not in truck. Might be a good idea to have them already in truck. But I called and came back to pick up, they were waiting for me and quickly put them in truck. Shop said I was late picking up truck although my Uhaul email told me pick up was at 11:15, and that’s the time I arrived. May want to check on that error. But all in all it did the job. Thank you.

This place was a joke. A tiny uhaul sign in the window. Had to ask neighbor businesses where Uhaul was. The kid behind the counter was disorganized and couldn’t care less. When I forgot to add a furniture dolly to my rental, and offered to pay extra to add one he said, “No, just take it I don’t give a F$&k”. I’ll NEVER pick up a Uhaul rental from this location again! The Bellingham store on Meridain are professional and organized. These clowns on Cornwall are hurting your business!

When I made the reservation, and when I picked up the truck, I specifically told them that I needed to drop the truck off Sunday night. I know the rental was for 24 hours, but I said that I had to drop the truck off and drive back to Seattle Sunday night. I went to the drop off location that was texted to me and did the entire truck return process before finding that there was no 24 hour drop box at that location. Now I have to have someone else take a Lyft to the location tomorrow morning to return the key, which will be an additional expense and inconvenience. The only other option was to leave the key in an unsecured mailbox. I called the emergency number to find out what I should do with the key. He was kind enough to get approval for a $20 gift card on our next rental. However, this doesn’t help us with this rental, or with our friend’s Lyft to return the key. I would much prefer a $20 refund. Please contact me about this issue. Thank you

The U-haul experience as a whole was the worst. Tha app. Didn’t work at all so had to call U-Haul numerous times just to pick up my truck. Dropping it off after hours was the same story. App. Didn’t work and after waiting on hold forever I just put keys in mailbox and left. Won’t be using U-Haul again!!

The reservation form not really being a reservation was absurd. We made decisions based on price and ended up spending $100more because the size we reserved was not available. And when the unit was not available at the location, size or time requested, uhaul Simply changed it instead of contacting me. The change did not work for us either. It took us calling in to get something that would work. Furthermore, I reserved 12 moving blankets but only 8 were provided. On return, we were charged for missing blankets. It was a one way rental so the return place had no way of knowing the pick up was incorrect. Overall, it was a horrible experience where uhaul had crappy customer service.

Justin at Bellingham Coin Shop unfortunately seemed to have little to no experience handling the issues I encountered during my rental. Apparently, due to the semi-confusing nature of the u-haul website, I accidentally rented a round trip when I meant to schedule a one way from Bellingham to Seattle. When I went in to pickup the truck, Justin was not aware of the mistake even after I confirmed with him that I was dropping off the truck in Seattle. It was until well after I had left and was on the road that I then received a barrage of phone calls trying to deal with the situation. Justin had initially assured me that my card would not be charged until after I had dropped off the U-Haul, which makes sense considering there’s no way to know the mileage I need to pay for until after I’ve returned the vehicle. When he called me to ask me to help him correct the mistake and pay the additional fee for the one way drop off, I was not aware that my card had already been charged, as he had not made it clear that U-Haul apparently charges a “holding fee” to the car that is then credited later. Because of this, I didn’t have the money in my account to pay for the new fee. Instead of simply pro-rating the extra 40 or so dollars for the one way trip, he told me he had to charge me the full fee AGAIN, this time of 160 dollars. Since I had already paid 120 and was not going to simply give away 280 dollars until the company credited me, and since the initial mistake was the employee’s own fault for letting me leave with the truck in the first place, I refused to allow the fee to be charged to me again and asked that he speak to his manager. I didn’t receive word back from him after that, and then I checked my account to see that U-Haul had charged me an additional 115 dollars. I have no idea why this amount was decided, as even though Justin told me explicitly he would call me back once he spoke to his manager, he did not. So, to summarize, I have now paid a total of 235 dollars to U-Haul for a trip that was estimated at 160. The receipt I received upon dropping off the U-Haul simply says my total was 0 dollars. None of this makes any sense, and I have received no credit from the company as of yet. This process made my move even more stressful than it already was, and I will not be recommending anyone to either Justin at Bellingham Coin Shop or the company at large until this matter is resolved to my satisfaction.

I didn't receive a contract in paper because the place was out of paper. I didn't receive the contract in my email until AFTER I returned the truck 5 hours later. Fortunately, I noticed where the fuel gauge was at before leaving so I knew where to fill it to when I finished. Besides that I was pretty satisfied! The guys were very friendly and I'm happy it was easy to get in and get a truck!

I didn't get a receipt or contract for my rental from the coin shop in Bellingham. I rented it for 3 days, the third day being Labor Day. I was NOT told the coin shop would be closed that day. They do not have a key drop. We then had to find another place that was open. They said I had to return it to the coin shop. After MUCH conversation I was allowed to leave it back at the coin shop and hide the key there. This return process took at least 45 minutes to an hour. I was not impressed and won't rent from there again!

The check engine light was on....I went to my mechanic and he put it on his scanner ...something about exceeding speed...? He re-set it and it came right back on? Overall: I'm not to happy with the way I was treated !

Worst location ever, should not be allowed to rent U-Haul equipment. Hard to find, got everything wrong on receipt, no accessories such as pads or boxes available. Just terrible.

Check the vehicle before/after each client. I found a bottle of methadone after I drove 200 miles with it in my possession. Found it when I got to my drop off destination.

Went to drop off the truck and went through the process to check it in but when I went to turn in my keys came to find out that there was no place for them. So I call uhaul and ask what to do and they made me have to drive back in the morning to give them the keys because it would have been on me if something happened to the truck "that's what they told me on the phone". So overall a bad experience with uhaul and all of the people I talked to told me they couldn't help or at least refund me a little for my wasted time.

Have your staff be on time, well trained and prepared to do business in a professional manner. I waited approximately 40 minutes to rent a truck because the U-Haul specialist had the weekend off and no one even knew about it. It was a bizarre situation in the back of a very crammed antique store which only confused the matter and set our entire move back by several hours witch inconvenienced the movers and the family. I won't give U-Haul my business again.

I got a text where to drop the truck off. I did not get a text as to where to drop the key off there was no office there was no drop box for the key after 15 minutes of driving in circles looking for the actual office I gave up and put the keys in the glove box. The truck that we rented it was the fourth truck within the last month and it used up more gas than any of the other trucks

There was an oily substance that ran down the driver side of the truck and got oil on my driveway plus the window, and door handle of the truck. We couldn't figure out what caused it and it happened only once.

Location was closed although Uhaul website and rep stated that it was open M-F until 6pm. Location is actually closed on Mondays. Was able to park vehicle and successfully place keys into drop box. Good location for those centrally located in Bellingham.
