Richard DeWittI contacted Belford Motor Company for a box truck rental for my move in early May, and the process was easy and even pleasant. The staff (John) was courteous and accommodating, the vehicle was in great condition, checkout was quick and online/website worked really well for an off-hours vehicle return. Price was reasonable, too. Two weeks later I contacted them for a cargo van rental for work, and my experience was the same - staff (the other John) was helpful and pleasant, vehicle was great, and the entire process was seamless. I plan to use BMC in the future for both work and personal needs - I feel like I’m supporting my local naighbors and am happy to do so!
Diana BurichThe self service option is awful. Took 20 mins for an online agent to start my “approval” process. It was 11am on a Wednesday so my verification contacts were working and missed the calls. total time for self-check in was 45 minutes (ate into my 4 hour rental time) and it didn’t even go smoothly, ended up needing a live check in. Luckily John at BMC was extremely helpful and got me in an out in 10 minutes. Will continue to use live check in from now on.
Marcella Ceremy only bad thing was that there wasn*t any water in the window washer. there was a lite snow fall, and I couldn*t clean the salt from the window that other cars kicked up. other wise everything went smoothly.

Samer ElkhateebEasy to get to the address, but very difficult to find the U-Haul Service Desk. The address is really for Belford Motor Company (BMC), but there is no notable sign for U-Haul Neighborhood from the road. Even after getting off the road at BMC, there is no notable sign where U-Haul is. One would have to drive around to find where to park, and the service desk is not even close to the U-Haul parking area, and I had to ask around to locate the serive desk.

ARTHUR SCOTTThe location was great but I am very upset that Uhaul cancelled my original pickup location which was closer to my home. I had to travel 40 miles to pick up my truck, which ended up costing me an extra $30 on my rental (since I went over the 65 miles). Very disappointed and will not be using Uhaul again.
Harry WolanskyBecause of the 24/7 self service, the care into the operation and cleanliness was not where it would be in a more traditional rental. As an example, the parking break was not operating properly and the cab / container of the truck required sweeping and small garbage removal.

Stephen TaylorI put my credit card to secure a reservation for a truck for 10 hours. Pickup was at 8, the movers said they would be late, I figured I would pick it up at 830-9. At 830 the guy calls me and asks where am I. I said I rented it for the day I’ll be over in 15 minutes. I got there is 12 minutes and he gave my truck away. They had no others. He then sent me to another location saying he reserved a van for me for 11:15 pickup. I get there and they say that van went back to philli. They had a van on premises. I said why isn’t that my van. He said it’s reserved. I am Livid

Elizabeth WalshThe time it takes to get the approval so you can actually get the keys to the truck takes WAY too long. I’m sitting around ten minutes waiting every single time when I obviously need the truck for a move and have a million things to do and people waiting on me. Process improvements need to be put into place for people who have already been drivers of your trucks before. It’s ridiculous.

John BrotenThe truck clearly had not been cleaned properly as I have experienced from other U-Haul locations. At other locations, I have received the trucks in excellent condition with everything visibly cleaned recently prior to me picking them up. The dashboard and front console of this truck was filthy with dirt and grime built up in the cup holders and near the radio. There were plastic bottles still have filled left in the door pockets. The back had a broke hanger and plastic left from the last person who rented. It smelled.
Alkmini O'Brieneasy pick up and return. Just need to make sure I am credited back as I did not use as many miles as anticipated and I see the larger charge on my account- other than that- great service!!

Jason GasparikI live in toms River New Jersey and I was assigned a pick up location an hour away and now we’re back to Toms River I think this is unnecessary it cost me gas miles and I had to pay someone to drive me there I’m really upset that U-Haul would do such a thing and the tire where the tires are in the van takes up so much space I was unable to to to transport all of my stuff I had to go buy or rent another van from a friend I’m very disappointed in U haul such a well-known company! Very disappointed I wish that they would return me some money for all the traveling it took two hours out of my busy day

RYAN COOKEI dropped the truck off earlier than scheduled. Left the key and the contract in the Dropbox, my paperwork was processed and I received an email to that effect... very efficient and location is convenient for me. I spoke to a representative at the scheduling department and she was very helpful. Unfortunately I do not recall her name heriot I would definitely rent from U-Haul again.

Rebecca Wongcalled uhaul costumer service to see if I could return the track at 5:30pm instead of 3:30pm, and operator told me it was ok and that he adjusted the time, at no point he disclosed any additional charges for the extra 2 hours, today I was charged a full day extra for those two hours, and I am asking to get those charges waived as I wasn't informed of it when on the phone. operator just told me there was no problem. thank you, Patrick
