The instructions for drop off were not clear. The staff at the drop off location sounded angry when she called me—despite the fact that the online instructions said we should put the keys in the key box (which we did) and a staff member would call. She sounded angry that we did not come into the location to check in the vehicle, even though that’s not what the directions said and it was not at all obvious that that was what we were supposed to do. If the expectation from the staff is different than the online instructions, that should probably change on one end or the other.

Isaac BleserLocal location did great job. Only frustrated with national scheduling process. Had equipment reserved and they changed to different location 100 miles away. What other company would they that is acceptable to customers. Try that in car rental or airline industries. I had to downsize my truck to pick up at original location. Extra trips in smaller truck cost me more money for mileage.

Karen LindbergIt took me over two hours to pick up the truck. I got there and had to call because I never received anything from the place as far as a contract or email on how to pick up when store is closed. Once I got off the phone because the lady told me what to do, I checked my email and was following the directions just to find out the truck they told me to get was not there. Then I had to wait 40 min to talk to someone and let them know the truck they stated I should pick up was not there. The lady set up another truck and I went through the checklist of things to do and started driving away. I then noticed the cup holder had melting m&ms in there. When I got to my destination I noticed there was a crack in the windshield across the bottom. The entire time I was driving it I was worried I was going to end up being charged for it. I even ended up being charged for an extra day because according to the contract (that had the wrong truck on there) stated I needed to drop it off by 7:30pm because I picked it up at 6:30. Due to not even knowing what truck I had until after 8:30 pm I figured I would have at least half an hour more time but that was not the case. The app blacked out on me 3 times making the truck at the drop off location at 8:05 so was charged $97 more.

Konnie SwansonWe had to go to 2 locations 45 miles apart to pick up our order we were notified of this one day before pickup by email. Our truck was on it's last leg. No air-conditioning. Electrical system in the truck failed. We were unable to see gears, fuel gage and temperature gages. Very unsafe. In addition the roof leaked and it damaged our furniture. Big fail!!! The truck should have never been on the road in that condition. We were lucky to make it in our 1,000 mile move safely.

William KlavaMaybe a little more information about how to turn the equipment back in. I was told to call the place I was returning and it was closed that day so I was unsure what to do. Everything worked out though.
Kerri AtkinsonCustomer service was unfamiliar with process, took a long time, second guessing what the steps meant, etc, and even stopped helping me to cut 3 keys for a customer in their store, making me wait even longer. This was after she saw that 2 cars were outside waiting for me to complete the drop off. I am extremely unhappy with this service and that the drop off was changed without my knowledge, causing additional fees. With the location change without proper notification and the additional charge for gas, at this point, I would not recommend Uhaul for moving services. I had even put in more than the required gas to leave it on the tank fullness I received it in. I have never had a problem with uhaul on previous moves, but this whole process makes me leery of using uhaul again, as it was not anything I would want to repeat.
