Fix or trash your on-line app thingy. Clumsy, awkward and no ability to check out on-line unless I'm right on site. Impractical, people. And, why was the place required to get 4 phone numbers (three not including me): marketing ploy or complete insecurity. Totally annoying.John H.

We were told it would b .50 cents a mile but were charged .89 cents a mile.it was supposed to be a 24 hr rental we were told to have back by 6pm the same day when we rented it around 2pm so we had it only 3.5 -4 hours.we were not able to finish move w uhaul. I feel I was ripped off.janelle L.

The phone service is horrible I was outside for a hour in the heat for some one to answer, then when they did they switch me to an answering machine..then it took me like 3 days to get the truck cause they kept changing my location with out me knowing...then at the pick up sight there was only one person who dealt with u haul who was on vacation...so I end up returning the truck and then had to return the key the next day..i had a horrible experienceDianna C.
To have the vehicle ready 1 time of pickup a couple minutes but I had to wait 45 minutes for them to get it figured out and then I got charged for having the vehicle out the later because I originally had it out for 8 hours and they held me up for 45 minutes so that took an hour out of my time but all in all it's all goodNancy B.

The key lock box outside was easily visible, but this location wasn't my preferred pick-up site, so its location was not convenient.Sarah D.
One minor glitch with the mobile pickup was that the reservation expired directly at the pickup time specified. Because of traffic was an hour late. Was easy enough to change the reservation time but maybe send a text before the time and allow the time to be extended.Thomas K.

Started my search in Smokin Dam, Pa. last week, we agreed that on this Thursday I would pick a trailer for a one way trip to Oakland, Md. When I went to pick it up, he didn't have a trailer and didn't remember me. When I tried to refresh his memory with date and time, forget it, he got ignorant and walk away from me. I searched maps and found the one in Milton, Pa. This man is a real asset to your company. Friendly and helpful.HOWARD I.
Nobody at Automotion picked up the phone when I called to confirm. No answering machine to leave a message. They didn't include the furniture dolly I paid for and I had to do the move without it.Paul B.

I did the mobile pick-up and so did not interact with anyone at this place. The truck was ready and the process relatively smooth...except they did not place the equipment I ordered (furniture pads and appliance dolly) in the truck. I was forced to call customer service and travel far away to pick those up.Brantley G.
When I made the reservation it was suppose to be pick up in Shamokin Dam. The Trailer was not there. We had to go to Milton 38 miles out of our way. Had to wait an hour while the guy there was trying to figure out the computer with the motorhome & my truck for the trailer. Finally got that figure out and they hooked up the trailer to the back of my boyfriends motorhome and DID not have the trailer tight on the ball of the hitch. When my boyfriend drove my Envoy on the trailer the trailer Jumped Off the ball and hit the back of the motorhome and tore off the License Plate Light and bent the shit out of the plate and scratched the back of the motorhome. The guy there DID Nothing but say "OH Wow". SO my boyfriend hooked the trailer up to the ball and tighten it down the way it SHOULD have been. Then 3 lights on the trailer where NOT working and all he did was mark on my receipt about the 3 lights NOT working and when we went to go drop the trailer off in Jackson Michigan they wanted to charge me $20 for the lights that where broke when we pick up the trailer. I told him He is NOT Charging me. Some how he over rode the computer and I didn't get charged. But who is going going to pay for the Damage to the motorhome??? I have pictures to prove all the Damage. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN FOR A TRANSPORT TRAILER AGAIN. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS WE HAVE RENTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!denise D.
This WHOLE Process became a MESS - I made ALL plans OnLine, U-Haul ACCEPTED the PLANS and RESERVATIONS. A short time AFTER I paid (online) and thought that 'all was well', I get a Phone Call explaining I have to pick up the truck 30-miles away, and at a TIME earlier than was planned. When I did pick up the Truck, they explained that NONE of the Accessory Equipment was available (Furniture pads and Dolly) and that I would have to go to the original Planned location to get that equipment. I believe the ON-LINE accuracy needs some improvement on Equipment AVAILABILITY. Although the U-Haul Individuals tried and were very helpful, the OnLine SYSTEM needs better co-ordination. Things did END WELL, but there was a lot of scurrying in the beginning to get things 'together'.Steven B.

The location and truck were perfect, the customer service over the phone and through the application was absolutely horrible. I had to sit in the parking lot in the rain for over two hours before everything finally went though. I will mostly never go with uhaul again after that experience.....John T.

U-haul person went home early even when there was a reservation in the system for us that they received 3pm the day before. Owner (I think it was) was still there but made no effort to conceal how annoyed, at us, he was that we had a reservation and he didn't know how to handle. How dare we expect to rent a truck when he wants to go home!! Even snapped at me when I asked if he could call the U-Haul person, who supposedly left 5 mins earlier, to come back to help us. He made us convert our reservation to a 24/7 (which required us to drive all the way home again) and spend about 2 hours on the phone with 1-800- UHaul. He didn't give a darn just as long as he could leave right at 5! I filed a complaint and the regional rep did call us right away, was pleasant and understanding and gave us a credit but you couldn't pay me to ever go back to Automation LLC again for anything- even if they were the last place on earth. I feel sorry for anyone who brings their car there for repairs, I cringe to think how they treat you. He answered a call when we were there and I couldn't believe how nasty he was on the phone to the person on the other end. Totally unprofessional and horrendous customer service. If U-Haul cares about their reputation they will drop this place. Ugh!Kevin M.
it was not the location that needed help. It was Uhaul themselves. It took us over 5 hours to get are code, numerous calls to customers services and online chat. They were not helpful, hung up on us or closed chats in the middle of conversation. Horrible, wait time. The whole pick up process with the phone, was a NIGHTMARE!!!! So not only were frustrated, but the help we had left. I will never ever deal with them again, and will not recommend them to anyone. Moving is stressful enough, you don't need to deal with this. I cant tell you how horrible it was and stressful!!!!!!!Brian D.

The owner of this location is a rude individual and should not be dealing with people in a retail situation. The truck had a hole in the roof that was listed on the back of the inspection form but was not visible to me until later in the day. The note stated that the customer is responsible for any water damage. He never said a word about it. I would not recommend this location to anyone.Gary A.

Put on the spot to have me go through my list of family and friends to bother and make concerned by a sudden and unexpected call from U-Haul to "verify" me. I am a long term U-Haul customer that h.ad just rented a trailer last month, you have my Drivers license on file as well as credit card authorixation. This policy of yours will not prevent a terrorist from renting your trucks...who do you think a terrorist will tell you to call to "verify" them??? Of course another terrorist. Nect time I need a truck I will be less inclined to use U-Haul.Terry K.

After setting up an account, one question was how to communicate. Answered text because person getting truck had no internet or email. After he was at location...then it was determined I had to quickly dress and drive several miles to finish authorization. You need to inform customers of this.Gary F.
The facility was good, the truck was clean and ready. The overall experience was terrible. Trying to sign in to pick the truck up took over an hour. My drivers license was not good enough for identification. Needed a pint of blood and my first born to move some furniture a couple of miles. Trying to upload pictures of the truck when I took it back took me an other hour. Overall I would not use the self pick up again, ever. ever, ever....Steve H.
I needed an auto transport and could not find one available online at any local U-Haul dealers. I called Automation to see if they could locate one for me. They made some phone calls and had one brought in for me! Excellent service and great to deal with!DUANE G.
