Although identified as a site for 24 drop off, there was no one there. We were guided by the uhaul site through a long process of pictures and questions. Fortunately, one of us had a smart phone, not me, and we were able to comply. Not a pleasant experience for an advertised service.David K.
So I was renting a car dolly for a RWD truck. The website said nothing about this dolly not working. The employee working the desk had questions as he did not think it would work and went and asked a second and third employee who said it's fine just rent it. Well, employee #1 was correct and this application does not work for RWD vehicles, and the dolly was never used.Scott C.

Uhaul seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience for them, slow service at desk, no help hooking up trailer despite my age in the 60'sLarry S.
Trailer came off less than a km away from the location where it was picked up. The employee didn't put the coupler on the trailer ball properly or thighten it. He didn't even put the chains on property, but thankfully I spotted and corrected it myself in advance. Thank God I was not on the highway or else the whole trailer could have flipped including my car. This location needs more training for their employees before somebody gets hurt.Francis P.

Gas ---.the truck should be full of gas when picking up. This would make it easier to fill up when bringing back. We were showed, on a sheet of paper, the level of gas in the tank. However, the gage in the truck showed a bit less than what was indicated on that sheet.. We don't blame the location for this...but think it's a company rule in order to make more money off renters.Ron M.

This location is advertised as accepting 24 hour customer returns. I wish I was reminded of the online check-in accommodations. I dropped the rental during non-office hours and called the next day to check-in. No one answers the phone at this location, nor they return phone calls. I had to call the central helpdesk twice, email twice and chat with an agent before I received a confirmation letter that my rental return is acknowledged. It took 3 daysTaoufik M.

Had to pay the HST on my order that wasn't charge when I booked online. More locations to use a proper tie down strap inside would be helpful. The wooden rail is useless with proper cargo straps.Mark G.

Pickup: Truck in lot at pickup time, but no key. Paid in full on-line but was charged an extra $25 bucks on pickup for some unexplained reason. Long delay "registering" what was supposed to be a contact-free, touchless pickup. Truck: Dog food all over cabin floor; cabin smelled like a Vegas casino -- yech; driver's side door smashed in and very difficult to close.Ralph D.
First, the staff were not at all friendly. Second, when I dropped off the vehicle, they originally told me I would have an extra charge. I challenged them based on my contract details and they said I was right and there would be no extra charge and they would take care of it in the system. After I left, they decided to charge me on the following day WITHOUT MY CONSENT . This meant I had to waste 30 minutes trying to get the charge reversed, I had to type this complaint and so on. Also, I was bit disappointed that I was charged for 4 km over my 194 km limit. This is despite the fact that that while we were driving from Toronto to Kingston, we were advised that our drop off location was changed to a location that was further from our unloading location. This means I am charged a fee because YOU decided change my contract without my consent (again). Not a lot of money, but a bit petty, particularly given the charge and change of location were unauthorized. I left the call with Victoria not knowing whether the $1.80 would be reversed. It should not have been an issue as I had already been inconvenienced. Overall, a negative experience from a customer service perspective. Will certainly avoid using U-Haul again if at all possible.GLEN M.
This will be my go to Uhaul location. Staff were great, very accommodating. Bad experience with Uhaul on Princess St. They wouldn't even answer my questions and forwarded me to the call Center, not cool. Midland is now my regular thank you.Ronald H.
Changed my rental pick up time without notice, which messed up our move times. Would have been nice to have more notice. Had to drop a majority of things off on the lawn of our new house in order to work around other previoualy scheduled meetings and appointments. For some reason I had another reservation that was made for 6 hours after I was to drop off our first rental. Fuel level was messed up, and given a credit for our rental to guesstimate the cost of fuel to get to 1/4 tank. Had approximately 1/8 of a tank when we recieved the truck. Not very happy.Dave O.
So disappointed with how long it took to pick up my 5x8 trailer. This is the first time I have ever rented a uhaul and it was frustrating. I went at 3:55 (4pm pick up)to pick up my rental and I did not get out of place till 4:41. When I got there I guess their computer system crashed so I waited for them to reboot the whole system and then gave them all my information and their system would not work again. Another person took over and called uhaul support and I waited forever till someone answer and then gave all my information again so they could relay to person on other end of phone. The uhaul tech people on phone said that they could not do anything and for the person at Aqua bay to take all my information so I could get on my way. So for the 3rd time I had to give all my information. By the time I got out of there and then had to get my vehicle hooked up it's was 45 min. Totally Crazy!!! The people at the store were very nice but not a positive process at all. I feel I should get some of my money back. It put me behind and we were supper late to get on the road to st. Found the truck did not match the images I was advised was of the truck in the "inspect the truck" stage. The truck had substantial damage to it, many marks, nicks, edging damaged... etc. Nothing that hurt operation but when you warn customers of liability for damages and then present a truck that's obviously been beaten to shit by students (University Town) its confusing. Your app didn't work for uploading any photos on my phone (S7), had to go through the website to do so. I did call in to extend my drop off time, your call center reps Martin and Francis were both excellent and very professional/friendly.Joseph R.

1. Have a fleet of diesel trucks! Diesel is cheaper than gas in Canada. 2. Clean you friggin vehicles! From a bug covered front end to pet fur and food crumbs in the cab!!! 3. Make an app that works! Both for 24/7 pick up and returns; a complete tip off to charge $20 â€œfor the convenience of a staff member returning a vehicle. And finally 4. Have staff who are capable and polite. From Teenagers to adults at this location do not know how to speak to customers. UHaual is often a secondary income for a business; so because someone can sell pools and BBQ's doesnt mean they have the skills for rental.PAUL K.

Staff did not hook up the trailer like I've had at other locations. Had they done so they would have realized the cable to hook into the vehicle was faulty. I then had to wait in line again to get a new cable.Nelson M.

They literally stole money from my credit card by charging me gas of $26.06 even though I return the truck with more gas than it had before. When asked to talk to the manager, they said she is not available to talk to me at all and she will same thing anywhere. Chad- very professional with customer services skills tried to help but couldn't do anything without Management access. Got number to call and now have to wait with the hope of getting the stolen money back. Bad customer services, poor management and handling complaints procedures. Will never recommend this location to anyone. But if you do, watch out for your credit cards and always take gas and mileage picture upon return as your proof.Constantin M.
Not only was this not the location i booked for but the mobile pickup did not work. it gave me a false code. and when i went to the main uhaul location in kingston on princess, the boss/supervisor/manager with a large black beard was beyond rude. asked where â€œshe even got that codeâ€ when he was shown the code to the uhaul. he was beyond unpleasant. and at this point we have driven across the city twice in attempt to pick up this uhaul for 10:30 and its 11:30... I was beyond delighted with the helpfulness of the staff at aqua marine though. They totally made up for the horrible experience. Oh and to mention your system made him input my information 3 times. Fix your system. Your employees shouldn't have to deal with backlash, im sure if i was any less patient i would've been much more hostile. I would 100% recommend the aqua marine location over that rude man at uhaul. But i will never be recommending uhaul after this BEYOND exhausting experience.craig I.

I would say this was mediocre, the people were nice but not service oriented. I rented a 6 x12 trailer. No jack on the trailer and they shrug when you ask what to do with no jack on a 5 day rental. . When you return they tell you to get the jack, disconnect, and bring the jack back. Don't expect any form of service. Otherwise the trailer was fine. I wish the dealer cared more on pick up and return. If I rent again I will ask to see if better service is available elsewhere.Donald C.

I had to hook up my own 6x12 trailer without any knowledge or help on how to do it. No instruction provided, very rude salespeople. The chains were covered in thick grease and got all over my hands and I asked for a towel and was refused. I will never rent from uhaul again. This is after I went to three different stores because the trailer I reserved was not ready on time for my reservation.greg B.
