Trailer was not prepared, sitting in a field, tires were very worn and we were driving 2000 miles to destination. Pictures for approval of condition were very outdated and not accurate. No one there to help load the trailer on my vehicle, the lights connection cord was missing and had to be taken from another trailer. They couldn't find my reservation information and did not know where to return it at my destination causing issues when I got to my final destination with the return process. The location was OK except the app didn't take the barcode scan for after-hours trailer dropoff. It took about an hour of messing with the app to finally get it to take. Please change the app so it doesn't rely on scanning a one-dimensional barcode printed on a piece of paper, through a window, with a smartphone camera, in order to turn in a trailer after hours. A NFC tag isn't that expensive. Or at the very least a huge QR code instead of the tiny 1D line code.JOHN B.

I marked off that the truck needed to be cleaned because when I received it it was dusty and dirty on the outside and had tons of dog hair in the inside. Go figure I got charged a $25 cleaning fee, I did not cause the truck to get dirty I just said it needed to be cleaned because it did. Additionally, I had someone contact me from another uhual asking if I still had the truck. Asked me to go to his store and he would ride me back to my car because the truck was reported stolen prior. I was not going to drive another 30 minutes out of my way to return the truck. I told him I'd return it to the location I rented the truck. He asked me when I retired the truck to leave the truck unlocked and in the vehicle. This made me nervous and I did not feel comfortable doing that. I returned the truck and gave the keys to the lady at the place I rented the truck from. I asked her about what was going on and she told me the guy from the other store had drive over there earlier looking for the truck. I told her what he had said and informed her I was not comfortable leaving the keys in the truck. I handed her my keys. He called me 10 minutes later asking if I left the keys for him. I told him no that I gave the other lady the keys. He got frustrated saying she wanted to keep the truck and then hung up. This was so unprofessional I feel like I got in the middle of an argument between 2 different locations over a pick up truck. My information should have never been given out, I should have never been in the middle of whatever the two of them where going through and to top it off I got charged $90 for a 1.5 less then 40 mile drive for 2 pieces of countertop that didn't make the truck dirty. The truck was already dirty I just reported it was dirty. Either way I am not happy.Melanie M.

I was charged an additional 20.00. I asked what the procedure would be since my 24 hr rental would end after hours. I was never told about the fee, only that the procedure to return is in the paperwork. This is a crappy way to do business. Everytime I do business with uhaul, yall find a way to take more. Kendra at Sage and Sound Storage was amazing. I wouldn't have had a truck reservation if it wasn't for her. I made a reservation to pick up a truck at RightSpace Storage under Reservation #:26558140 Address- 227 Park 35 Cove N, Buda, TX 78610. I arrived and they said they have no trucks and they don't know why the Uhaul.com website is accepting reservations. They advised me to call the 1-800 Uhaul phone number. I did and the system kept disconnecting me from the call. Kendra was the only one that assisted me and made sure that I was able to move my son out of his apartment when his lease was up. The keys were not in a lock box for pickup. The attendant gave me the keys because they were still open during business hours. I wouldn't have been able to pick up the keys had they forgotten to put them in a lock box.Sergio B.
There are not enough great things to say about the superior customer service we received from the staff member that assisted us. She was simply amazing! From making a call to confirm the reservation, to being patient when we were running a little behind, to explaining the insurance, to helping hook up the trailer, down to making sure we knew exactly how to check back in since we were returning after hours. Also, super kudos for her social distancing and COVID-19 protection and explaining what she was doing for our safety. This was simply one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had! I brought the trailer back right after close at about 5:30. I left it clean with the dolly inside. When I got the bill I was charged for two days rental, late charge, cleaning fee and others. I am going to protest this charge with the bank.Harold E.
I returned the trailer on the 9th at 2:19pm to the location listed on the contract. The business was not open, so I left a message letting them know I returned the trailer and where it was. I have time stamped pictures showing I left the trailer and when I left it. I also have phone records showing I called the place. I called the business again on the 10th during their business hours, but again they did not answer. I got a $20 bill for "After hour service fee". I clearly dropped it off early and have phone records and time stamped pictures to show that. If this was because I returned the trailer when they were not open, my contract said I needed to have the trailer back on the 10th at 8:00am. The business doesn't open till 9:00am on the 10th. So, there is no way I could have avoided that $20 fee. This fee needs to be credited back to my card. I have already emailed someone about this and haven't heard from them. The location I booked my rental through originally had stopped carrying U-Haul trailers by the time I went to pick up the rental a week or two later. Would have been nice to be informed of this prior to showing up there. Also was told the wrong ball hitch size so had to run back home for a replacement.Mark K.

Being Military retired and having The military pack and move our belongs has always been done in a professional and satisfied customer service. They should tell your customers that the equipment has to be return by a specific time. When I reserve a trailer online and it just says that it is due back on a certain date with no time and then on that date I get a text saying that I have 45 minutes to return in the trailer or I'm going to be charged for an extra day is bullshit. You should let your customers know when they pick up the equipment that it needs to be returned by a certain time.Christopher T.

I was not happy with the process for returning the truck ar all. It would be reason to consider another truck rental company in the future. This would be disappointing since I've used UHAUL for trucks at least 10 times over the past 3 years and rental 4 storage units. I just felt nickel and domed by the "convenience fee" of having a live person to check the truck in. I would have brought it back the next day if I knew I'd be checking it in on your dark parking lot. By the way, it's amazing technology, but I cannot believe you can do this much with technology, but you dont offer a Reawrds or frequent rental program. This is no reflection on Anytime Storage.
