The drop off was at a convenient location. But using the mobile app to try to process the return after hours was frustrating. the time to download, sign up, and in the end it did not work. The app required me to pick a location and requested a zip code, allowing only numbers, not Canadian postal codes. I had to abandon the app, and drop off the keys. The next day i was billed for the difference between miles and kilometers. JD at this location was great at acknowledging the problem and fixing it. accidents happen. But enfuriating that it takes UHaul 2-5 business days to correct the visa transaction. UHaul is lucky to have good people at their locations, but their systems are terrible.
sean hWInter weather was expected and acknowledged when I picked up the van. The representative did helpfully point out that the van only has all season tires, but what I discovered on the highway was that there was very little windshield washer fluid in the reservoir. I ended up driving with an extremely dirty and salt-covered windshield on the 403, which is extremely dangerous. I was basically guessing where the lanes were. When I brought that to the representative's attention, he was apologetic, but divulged that the corporate UHaul does not reimburse the locations for windshield washer fluid, so they only periodically add a 1/2 bottle of fluid. He candidly admitted that the van's reservoir could easily take two bottles of windshield fluid, but the approach they take is a penny wise and a pound foolish. It is very fortunate that I did not get in a collision or drive off the highway as I could not see. I will be sure to share the approach UHaul takes to safety with anyone who is thinking about renting a van and encourage them to go elsewhere. JD himself is very lovely to work with, but the corporate approach to basic maintenance is extremely unsafe and silly.

Al WI was impressed. The service was exemplary. The attendant explained everything very clearly. He was quite patient with me as I was figuring things out with the truck. The truck was clean. As a 5' 1" senior woman I was nervous about driving the smaller truck, but it was very driver friendly. I appreciated the extra lower mirrors. It didn't take long to feel comfortable driving the truck. I had to drive on the 401 highway between 2 big cities as well as in each of the cities. Maneuvering through heavy traffic as well as a heavy rain storm was easier than I expected. Refueling was easy. The chart explaining how many litres I needed to replace was very helpful. I will recommend Uhaul to my friends and not hesitate to use it again if needed.

JOHN KThis is the Best storage and U-Haul location I have been to. They take great care of their clients, they have boxes and all the moving equipment I needed. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing a storage unit or a U-Haul, they are the BEST.
Adam SMobile pick up and drop off is really easy and convenient allowing me to pick up end of day and return and check out. Being in an industrial park, the location may not allow female customers to feel overly comfortable - my wife wouldn't want to spend 15 minutes there if she were alone and returning a vehicle after dark. For me, excellent and easy. Will rent again as needed from this location. Staff contacted me before the end of their day to ensure I was all set for a convenient pick-up. Great service.

Edward TI called on Thursday the 24th, 2022, to check that the pickup truck I was to pick up on the following day was on the lot and as well check that it had a towing receiver. We arrived Friday the 25th to pick up the truck to find there were muddy dog footprints and dog hair all over the passenger seat and middle armrest. It was a mess. The truck had been there at least 24 hours and had not been cleaned. I had to spend my time to vacuum and wash out the truck. It was really disappointing. The fellow hadn't bothered to clean it and just said that's the way it is! We were in a bind or we would not have accepted the truck. The attitude of the fellow that rented it to us was very indifferent, take it or leave it! I have not experienced this EVER at a U-Haul dealership. I was not offered any compensation for my time to clean it other than I wouldn't be charged if it was not clean when I returned it. I have rented from U-Haul many times, and have had really good experiences but this was not one of them.

Brian RChange there attitude. Also make them knowledgable so as to not waste people's time. Stop being rude and ignorant. Have equipment properly harnessed and have adequate adapters on hand . And don't be rude this is biggest issue not pleasant to deal with and wasted my time and gas first day then rude and ignorant upon drop off. Not we ever using this location again.

Peter BThe location was not the issue. The truck leaking water when it rained and the auto transport tire strap coming loose several times was why I was not happy with this particular move. It was a long one and very costly. We had to divert our trip several times to compensate for the leaking and fear of losing the van attached to the auto transport. The location was great in Ancaster but I didn’t even pick up the truck there.

Kevin CPassenger side mirror is loose and spins freely. No visibility when changing lanes. Dangerous. Last customer left tank at 1/4 full and paid charge. Agent knew this but left it at 1/4 tank. I received the equipment and had to add stop to fuel for my move.
Glenn Cpickup was a real problem as site was closed and only on-line pickup was available. I was led to believe site was open & pickup could be done in person. Fortunately, phone help was beyond excellent & eventually I was able to retrieve vehicle.
David THave another type of return plan. Not the link via phone. It didn’t work, I couldn’t turn on location. Maybe a form to fill out on return and an email to send photos.

Susan MI have serious privacy and security concerns that as a condition of rental, U-Haul demands an electronic scan of my driver's license. I believe this is a personal privacy over-reach. The long-term risk of providing such sensitive personal information weighed against the act of renting a vehicle for 4-hours is unjustified. No company today can guarantee they will not be hacked thereby placing my personal information into hands that may cause me long term harm. How can you improve your service? Stop collecting e-scans of your customer's driver license information. Don't make e-scans a condition of rental. If a customer refuses an e-scan of their drivers' license, then simply photocopy the license and return the photocopy to the renter upon vehicle return.
