I had reserved the unit for 12 o'clock it was closer to One o'clock when I finally got to leave with the truck it had an awful smell in it I sanitized everything myself almost did not make my scheduled appointment for my merchandise pick up.

This guy charged me $144 initially for what was supposed to be a hundred mile round trip which I thought was kind of expensive but it is what it is. I returned the truck on time clean and I topped off the tank a half a mile down the street. I had the receipt I gave the cashier $30 and it only took $26. He called me at 8:00 in the morning saying I owed another 30 bucks because I didn't top off the tank and because I went over the mileage. If I did indeed go over the mileage I can understand paying the difference but I 100,000% topped off the tank and because his fuel gauge was showing a millimeter below the f somehow that constituted charging me a total of almost $200 to take the 15 ft truck to get a couch. A single couch. He is a crook and a penny pincher I even offered to take the truck back to the gas station to put the gallon of gas it was short in and explain to him that the pump stopped pumping automatically which usually means the tank is full. $200 to get a couch an hour away. I've been a loyal U-Haul customer for years and actually worked for moving help.com for a long time and advertised how great you boxes are and U-Haul service. You lost me as a customer and my praise of your company unless some kind of refund can be done because I feel like I was just robbed. Oh yeah the total I went for mileage was 109 instead of 100. So an extra $30 for nine miles over HIS estimate and bring a gallon short in gas in the truck. Which honestly I don't know if I even believe it is short I would more likely believe there is a problem with the gauge or the float in the gas tank in that old truck because the pump clicked off as if it was full. Why would I put in $26 out of 30 and not just put in the last gallon of gas? I wouldn't. I live two houses down from this guy for 30 years talk about running a good neighborhood company LOL it's people like him that make me want to get every little transaction on camera and read every contract thoroughly before signing it so they can't rob me after it's too late. I hope you guys shut him down that prick does not deserve to run a u haul. Couldn't let me take the truck a half mile down the street to put the gallon of gas in to avoid paying the ridiculous fee. I hope he's happy I have a 3-year-old kid and I'm unemployed. I fucking hate people sometimes thank you guys I hope you do what's right unlike this asshole

Incredibly BAD logistics, where I reserved a trailer weeks ahead of time, then the day before was informed I couldn't get the size I ordered (larger, which was fine) and had to travel 40 mins. out of town to pick it up. I was offered the upgrade at the same price, but when I checked as a precaution, the local rental agent had no ability to confirm and seemed irritated that I asked. When I called the regional traffic coordinator he confirmed the price but wouldn't agree to notify the rental agent, saying it should be reflected online the next day, and I should have the agent call if there was a problem. When I arrived to pick up the trailer, the online software wouldn't allow the price to be changed, and I had to wait over an hour while the agent first had to wait for the traffic manager to be available, then went through a longer wait while UHaul tech support tried to accomplish a price override. I was left with the impression that UHaul has logistics and computer software completely INADEQUATE for responsiveness to details, especially for a national corporation. Agents seemed frustrated because there was nothing they could do, leading to a very unpleasant experience that I would have canceled if there was a practical alternative. Grade A/B for agents willing to help, but Grade D for poor corporate ability to handle technical details.

Attitude poor again. 2nd time rental here. I have Rented from Keene, athol, Leominster (mostly) locations. Very satisfied with those. Especially great are Leominster central st. and Keene nh. Was told my 8 hour reservation could not be honored due to another reservation. Had to be 7 hour, which I did comply. Uhaul system fault I was told. Not my problem. Will avoid this location when possible.

I wanted an 8' truck to pick up a dresser and a chest, was told only had a 15' available. When I got there, they had 2 - 8' trucks parked there and they were still there after I returned the 15' truck. Only needed the truck for less than an hour. The 15' truck had lots of snow on the roof and rear bumper and tailgate. That should have been cleaned off.

Make the app process easier by trimming some of the steps off. I tried it and it was frustrating and not very easy. Just to get the key and secure the truck took 40 mins. That to long. You already had all my info and lic picture ,when I registered online then i had to go through it all again. Not very user friendly.

I was taken for $165 by the Ujaul Help Move contractor whom answered the phone drunk and then never showed up and stole my money. My 2nd choice did a good job but it cost 2x as much as it should have. If I don't get my money back I will post this review on youtube so that Uhaul will be recognized of ripoff company

This place is the most difficult place to drop off a uhaul, the guy was really weird, truck was dirty, the app is so stupid to manuever and if you don't have access to the app you have to pay 20$. He expects you to clean the trucks but when they are recieved they are gross. Would not recommend.

The trailer we rented was in good condition. We just had terrible customer service with the owner of Ace Automotive. On the phone and in person, he was rude and snappy.

Always return here as it is easy in and out. Lot is always clean and the gentleman who runs it is real good at what he does here. Friendly courteous service is a plus for this drop off point. Highly recommend this place. Pay him more for his work here.

This is technically a critique of both the Rental Location and the lack of communication and documentation with U-Haul customer service. The U-Haul website was having technical difficulties, and I was unable to log in my truck after hours. I spent over half an hour on hold with U-Haul trying to check the truck back in through Customer Service. At the end of an hour, I was able to log the truck in over the phone. Sunday I received a call from U-Haul that the truck was overdue. I called U-Haul again, confirmed the truck had been logged in with Customer Service the night before, and hoped for the best. Today my final bill from Ace Automotive had the $20 charge for After Hours login missed. I called U-Haul back, and they said the billing issue needed to be fixed by Ace Automotive. I called Ace Automotive and was told the bill couldn't be fixed on their end and U-Haul had to do it. I called U-Haul back and had to request the number of the next regional manager. I requested the bill be fixed by the manager, and I haven't seen an adjustment to my credit card yet. Almost nothing was noted for Ace to follow from my 2 customer service calls. Essentially, U-Haul needs to solve the disconnect in their billing policy and communication.

This guy blew up my phone the entire time I had the U-Haul wanting to double check that I had the proper address as there are 3 locations in Gardner (even though I clearly new where I was going since I selected the location myself). He called and called to check that I knew the address and to remind me that someone else was taking that truck right at 1pm when I was due to return it so it was so important for me to return it promptly, fueled and cleaned! I returned the truck at 12:30 to be sure I wasn't late and he wasn't even there! He made me wait an hour for his return and there was no one waiting for the truck I dropped off either so he harassed me the whole time for nothing! And then yelled at us when we got there about how we could have stuck the keys in the drop box, except that with all their BS charges already we didn't wanna be charged anything else!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND DEALING WITH HIM EITHER.

The facility and equipment were very well maintained, the service provided by the owner was less than exemplary. He was confrontational from the moment he saw my Florida drivers license. He was very pleasant to the locals there. Being from Massachusetts I am not surprised by his lack of class, just expected it would not flow over into a business situation.

I had a problem. I asked the customer service person to update my email, since I had to do a mobile app sign in on a Sunday to get my keys. He told me he did update my email but when I went to get the verification codes, they had been sent to my old email and I could not retrieve it. Then I had to get on the phone for 35 minutes with UHaul and try to figure it out. I was late for my pick up appt. It made for a very stressful start to the move.

A few crayons fell out of a container and I did not notice and the facilities charged me $25 for a cleaning fee. I will never use Uhaul again. I will go with another moving truck rental place. I've been using Uhaul for 25+ year. I will never recommend you either
