You sent us to Elk Grove to pick up our truck and once we got there you had no truck for us. prior to that you moved our pick up from Orangevale. then in the end you sent us to Diamond Springs, an hour away, after we just drove 4 hours to Elk Grove. Just Terrible service levels.

My first rental experience at this location was excellent. Andrew was very helpful and efficient. The pick up and return was easy and fast compared to other Uhaul locations my son and I have rented from. I will definitely refer my friends and family to rent from this location. I wish all Uhaul locations had the exceptional customer service I received here.

Early check-in did not work. The online App kept telling me I had to check in when it opened and I already set up early check in two days prior but it did not show up in the system. I called U Haul and was on hold forever and then it put me into the voicemail system. You guys need to clean up your customer service end. The gal on site was able to help me check in early , that was much appreciated.

While I would rate my experience with Access Storage as an A+, I have to tell you the rest of the story. I originally had reserved a truck for the same morning in the town of Coloma. When I got there they had no truck. I showed them my confirmation text, and they saw my reservation in their system, so they 100% agreed with me but said it doesn't matter because "we have no truck." Extremely frustrating. Luckily I was able to get the truck at Access Storage later in the day.

The trailer was not washed on the outside so I noted that when I picked it up. I didn't consider it a problem. Inside was fine. The average rating was due to the worn condition of the facility, again not a problem, and the not particularly friendly demeanor of the person who assisted me. She took care of the transaction. This location is in an area where a lot of the population takes Covid mask wearing as a personal affront and I was wearing a mask. I got the impression she thought poorly of me, but I hope I'm wrong.

The young man at customer service was friendly enough, but he must have assumed I had experience renting and driving a huge Uhaul truck. Because after he rung me up he simply said you're all set. So I asked, “ Is there anything I should know?” “Like what”, he asked. (Hmm) Then he said he'll show me which truck. I noticed the windshield was dirty. He pointed out the clearance and said it was marked on the side. I asked if I could see the back and he kindly complied. By my asking, I learned 2 important facts. One escapes me but at the writing of this review, but If you don't make sure the latch catches in the hook when opened, then it could get stuck in the roll up at top which means the door cannot be pulled back down. I believe the other was regarding the ramp and it's latch. If the center latch isn't up the ramp could drag. Something else that was not mentioned to me. I was not informed that I would immediately receive an email with photos of the truck's condition, and only have a limited time to respond with photos showing otherwise. I saw the email too late, but all in all, it wasn't necessary to prove any discrepancy. Other notable tips I'd like to share: The truck seemed fairly new. That was great. There is no cruise control The seat is comfortable Any licensed driver can help drive The cab is irritatingly noisy. For instance, it's hard to hear the radio on the freeway. The gas tank is large so you get pretty far before needing a refill. Plus, it was easy enough pulling up to a truck station to get fuel. There's a large blind spot, so be aware before changing lanes. The air conditioning worked nicely. I scrubbed off the front of the cab, but the return location clerk said that wasn't necessary. The gal at my return location was great. But the place was a bit tricky to find. So I'm not sure how to rate the location. But it was clean, she was friendly and right there to help, so that earns a high rating.

The Uhaul closest to me was not set up for in town rentals so I had to drive an additional 15 miles to rent a truck. The owner of Coloma Feed Store who rents Uhauls tried to fix this issue to no avail. Uhaul in my experience has been less then customer friendly. The dealers however have all been exceptionally helpful. Uhail should really work on improving their business model to be more user and dealer friendly.

There is a statewide order to wear masks in public spaces, and this location chooses to not to, and put me and my elderly parents, who I care for in my home, AT DEADLY RISK. I tried calling your corporate offices to get an explanation, and was told I would receive a call back. When I returned the trailer, same story. I will never willingly use UHAUL again. If you wish to discuss this matter and attempt to change either your policy or explain to me why you are willing to kill your customers because you can't be bothered to take a simple and basic safety precaution, you have my contact info. NEVER USING UHAUL AGAIN

Truck was filthy when I picked it up. I indicated that on the app when I picked it up. I put a pic on showing the cup holder. Then when I dropped it off I again indicated it was dirty on the app. And U-Haul wanted to charge me $25 for cleaning so I changed it back to clean because I shouldn't have to pay to clean a truck that was filthy when I picked it up. Oh and by the way when I picked it up the battery was dead and I had to jump it from another truck with the help of the employee. Hope I didn't get corona'd!!

The truck I picked up, did not have a full tank of gas (only at 3/4), which I didn't notice until I drove away. There was also left over trash in the cab and something sticky in the drink holders that got all over my wallet. After I was done with the truck, I put too much gas in, leaving a full tank when I only used less than 1/4 tank. I was told I couldn't get any refund for over filling the tank. There is also two people working there and only one person assisting, making my wait time over 1/2 hour both when renting and dropping off. Due to the condition of the truck, overfilling the tank and time spent in the office, I would like a partial refund.

The trailer return has been a very disappointing experience. On my order I specify a return on zip code 95726, and then return the trailer to the Uhaul neighborood dealer (located on 6306 Pony Express Trail, Pollock Pines, CA 95726). The dropp-off went well, and no one told me anything. I received later on an additional bill of $20 because the unit should have been returned to a different location 18 miles away. No one mentioned it when I returned the unit. This is completely unacceptable, and I am seeking for a refund from Uhaul on these $20. Thanks

On pickup date the shop was not open at 8am as posted. There was a line of people waiting at the door. I knocked loudly and a lady came out telling us the guy who works the counter had not yet arrived. On drop off date no one even bothered opening the door. The counter guy showed up around 8:30 by which time I had called support to complain and they helped me complete drop off online. I will NEVER use this location again as they cannot be bothered to even be open during business hours. It's obviously a consistent issue that needs correcting.

I was there to do a self pickup because they had already closed. I was having a hard time figuring it out with my phone. The awesome people of Access Storage were still on site. They took me inside and helped me get through the process and get on the road super quick! There's no telling how long it would have taken me to figure it out on my own.

Customer service was second to none , worker went above and beyond. This man ought to be given a raise based on the fact that he was willing to put in the time to make sure his customers were taken care of in a timely fashion. Also working the weekends is not fun.
