The process was quick snd easy. The gentleman that helped me was friendly and knowledgeable. They had in stock the equipment that I needed. I would definitely rent from and recommend.Margaret L.
The people at the location are great but the U-Haul app did not recognize that we were at the location. It could not recognize it on two different phones. We could not do a mobile pick up and needed to do an entirely new order. Only when it happened did we remember that the same thing had happened four years ago at the same location. Again, the people are fine but I would not do the mobile check in / check out here only the in store.Stephanie L.
My biggest issues were with the U-Haul app and process. First, the app kept telling me it couldn't find my location, even after updating location settings on my phone. (For the record I have been a software developer for over 35 years, I am not technology challenged.) Second, during my long conversation with customer service (the person was very helpful) I found out you can't pick up the vehicle "after" the pick-up time. I had a pick-up time of 12 and was probably there before 12:05 and she had to update the reservation to 1:00. Very strange. Third, when checking in the vehicle I got "internal error" after taking the pictures of the vehicle. Not sure if it had to do with the quality of the pictures because it didn't say what the issue was, just internal error. If it was the quality maybe it is because the property isn't lighted? Fourth, but this is mostly likely a Ford issue, the gas gauge inly displayed 3/4 full for quite some time after I filled it less than a mile from the location. The only reason the picture actually showed full is because the check in process took so long to complete that it finally showed full.James H.

I requested a van to be pick up at 8:00am at Marathon Mobil and that's what the confirmation said. We arrived at that location and they had no record of our reservation. They said it was changed to a different pick up location across town (we received no notification of this change) so we had to drive all the way there only to see that the new location didn't open until 9:00am. We called UHaul and they said they tried to call me once, but I never received any calls, voicemails, texts, or emails. They then sent back across town to a third location where we were finally able to pick up the van. We were both incredibly late for work as a result of this chaos and lack of communication and I wasted gas and miles on my car driving back and forth between locations.Jake B.

For this location: I had rented an appliance dolly but it was not with the truck when I picked it up which meant I had to drive an extra 16 miles to pick on up from another location. The interior of the cab was not clean and there was a random shoe rack in the back of the truck. For Uhaul: The truck has seen some better days. The truck itself had some previous damage and the pictures in the app must have been from 100k miles ago so the check in process took too long to note all of the changes/damage to the truck. Also, I had called about the dolly issue and they said they'd take off the extra mileage and dolly cost. Even after stating this as part of the return process I was still charge for everything including the use of the utility dolly (which I had to use since the proper one wasn't with my truck!! Overall, not the best experience this time around for someone that has rented a few times in the past year.Samuel J.

Jeff was great to work with. The van was great- new and lots of pep. One thing you may want to help people with is how to manage the interior lights in the cargo area - I was concerned when loading that I might drain the battery because the lights were on - I ended up watch a youtube session on how to trick the lights so that they would go out by manually closing the door's latch with a screwdriver and then clicking the lock button on the key. It would be much easier if there was a switch inside the cockpit or the cargo area, or a sign saying that the led lights will not drain the battery.Michael B.

1. Customers should be informed "Safe Move" coverage is an option. Customers should not find they have been charged for an optional item and later have to have the amount removed. 2. Customers should be informed to place plywood or other material on floor so that water which is kicked up through wheel wells will not get their items wet - which is what happened to our items.warren C.

They should be able to check the rental out on return if you are having trouble. Spent 2 hours to get someone at UHaul and then they said they can't help me â€¦Michael F.

Your website and smartphone app are absolutely terrible. It took me twenty minutes to do the pickup and 40 minutes to do the dropoff because both were unresponsive despite having a full 5G signal on site. Submitting photos via the app is also messed up, it kept asking to submit odometer pictures countless times. I ended up having to do it directly on the site itself.Jonathan B.

The location worked great and the vehicle itself was great, too. The online self pick-up though, was terrible. I had to list two alternate contacts and the service was so slow it was ridiculous. The owner of the shop was so much more helpful than anyone at u-haul. Was very grateful that he was there. Would recommend picking up from there, but do it during business hours so you can work with John, rather than through the app.Lindsay D.

The app would not allow me to complete a mobile return. Everytime I tried to add a photo of the dashboard, it would not succeed through the app. I tried on multiple android devices and failed. The only solution was to use my browser. I will never use the u-haul app againChristopher Y.

Uhaul app on Android is the worst ever. It took me more than 15 mins to do express check-in because the app kept crashing or would not let me continue to next step. Cargo Van was not clean, dirty floors and can holders had sticky/gooey stuff. Air condition did not work on low settings and looked like the filters had not been changed so there was a stink inside the van. Returning the van was the most difficult experience. It took me 45 mins to complete the return process. The app would not upload the odometer picture, it kept loading but would never show it uploaded. Tried more than 20-ish times, restarted app, restarted phone but nothing helped. Had to go home and bring my Wife's iPhone and then fill out the return process through chrome. It would be good if Uhaul ackowledges the app does not work and directly asks us to use chrome. Worst experience of all.Sanchit C.

The truck was not clean... the location I selected wasn't available, the app was broken and did not allow me to pick up the truck via the app, and there was no one at the location to switch to in person pick for the reservation either. App was very glitchy and took a very long time to check in because it kept freezing!Lara A.

Needs better signage to inform a customer what to do when picking up on off-hours (i.e. the weekends) seemed to cause confusion for myself and another customer at the same time. When you get there on the weekend you have to either call U-Haul or use the website to get a key code from a lock box. The mobile app requires way too many details and pictures and due to very poor cell reception service at the location it frequently timed out forcing me to start over, this extra steps ate into approximately 20 minutes of my 4 hr rental time period. Would suggest calling the U-Haul number next time as it was faster for the other customer.Brian L.

When I arrived the facility was closed. I had no idea I signed up for self serve. . It was advertised as $19:99. When I dropped off the van I was charged a $20 â€˜convenience' fee. All in all, for 2 hours I was charged $90. The steering wheel was sticky. I'm not at all happy with U-Haul!!Sara C.
Truck had clearly x-marked labeled damages on it. Had great difficulty accessing online check in procedures. No one available at office to assist. Once we phone called for help, we were passed to 3 different people. Hour late for scheduled move. Then the battery was dead and had to get jumper cables from our car to charge truck. A Murphy's Law move, but it's now done!! I've used uhaul in the past with no issues.David F.

I didn't receive the furniture pads and dolly, but I believe that this was probably due to the fact the truck I was suppose to receive was going to be late, and UHaul had to find another truck. You may need to update the system so that customers are not charged for accessories that are not able to be included in an updated order. thanks!Stephen R.
