I was supposed to pick up the truck from gate 5 and the location was changed while I was en route. I picked up the truck on 1/8 tank. I only had it for about 3 hours. Drove 15 miles. Bought it back at 1/8 a tank. I was charged for a full tank of gas and also cleaning fee. Truck was clean. Some of my Gas expense was rembursed but I am still trying to contact support about cleaning fee. This is the second time something like this has happened with me renting through U-Haul. I find it irritating to be required to give my details every time I rent. If I have a profile and have uploaded my license, address, and alternate contact then I should be added to a list of trusted renters who've never damaged equipment or caused problems. Always check the mileage with the Customer before checking in. Always provide a hard copy to the Customer with final charges. Some Customers do not have printer's for a receipt.JOYCE G.
Make sure you are providing the correct information when questions are asked. I asked what was required only to have to go out my way and go back home to get another card and had to pay the movers extra because that was an hour off my time I had to rent the van and i had to pay the movers for an extra hour when I had my shit together when i got there... only to get misinformed information over the phone prior to me coming to pick the van up as well as before i reserved the van as well. It was a big inconvenience.Diamond C.
We picked up the truck it only had a quarter of tank of gas, the inside of the truck was nasty and the truck had an Exhaust leak. It was so loud the whole trip I couldn't even talk on the phone and the person hear me. Then they kept changing my drop of location. They wanted me to drop it off 40 mins from my final destination. I called customer service about these issue and was transfer 3 times before I just gave up. In the end we had a miserable ride and they charged us for gas because we returned it with the same amount of gas we picked it up with.AMY D.
Better signage to find office (is a multi office park) and if location is going to be closed outside of posted hours, THEN a more detailed drop off procedure should be posted, not everyone has a smart phone with gps locator capability. Also please send PDF files for receipt, not gif files which are not easily able to be maginified to read small print!Robert S.

Everything started well with my reservation. However, when I arrived, after driving across the U.S., there was no one there to provide me access to the storage. This all happened on a Friday They failed to give me an access code. There was no one in the office. The man who answered the phone, when I called, was not on premises and after 1/2 hour was unable to assist me. I had no choice but to go to another location for my storage. After three telephone conversations, in the preceding days, it took contacting the regional manager to have my money refunded. I have no idea if the facility was clean or not because I never got in. I would not recommend this location because there was no one onsite and whomever I talked to was remote. They don't seem to communicate with each other because they called me first to see if I moved my belongings in. I guess the man I spoke to did not relay my failed efforts to do so. Three days after I received this phone call and did not receive any refund notification, I called again and got another person. She too, was not onsite but called the location and no one answered the phone. Their location communication, between staff, was non-existent.CARMEN A. | Overall Experience

Our truck through out the rear end on our trip. We got lucky the storage space we rented was also a uhaul spot. But they were not accepting inbound truck turn in but the truck literally had to be pulled by personal truck out of the way of the gate into their storage unit.Deborah M.
I requested a different location that was open at 7am, I was diverted to the Augusta Tech location that required me to have 24/7 truck share which i was unaware of. A representative should have informed me to have the truck share to save me time. Also, I requested and paid for a dolly and furniture pads that were not in my truck when I picked it up. That causes an issue not only with my items not fully being protected but with my payment because I had to call and ask for a refund which I have not yet received.Destiney B.

Come up with a process that fuel level can be verified by both parties upon return even after hrs. I was charged a 30.00 refuel service fee plus 13.50 gas charge for supposedly not returning with at least 1/4 tank of gas. I have rented from uhaul probably over 5 times in the last 6 yrs or so and have never returned a vehicle with less than the amount of fuel than when initially rented because I understand the fees associated with such an action. I called the this location at Augusta Tech Drive and informed them of such. After 2 days I got a vague email from the field manager stating that gauge had been verified to be below. I again called the store to voice my dissatisfaction and disagreement with this. Was told that field manager would call. I'm awaiting his call. Very upset with this process since I wasn't there to verify what they "say" they saw as being "below" and the fact of being charged an additional 43.50 in fuel charges for about a 4.5 hr use of truck. Not good customer service. Will not use this location again and probably never use uhaul again!!!James M.

I received an email at 7:30am est telling I was pick up at one location. I was coming from our of town and was having problems finding the place. I called the number in the email. The person that does UHaul wasn't there. I asked when would she be there not sure was told try back in an hour. I said but I am suppose to pick in 15mins. The last said let me call her. She called me back and said I can't pick up there they don't have what I need and to call UHaul. I called was told they sent a text message at 7:55am but I didn't receive a text message and my preferred way to be contacted is via email. I got the correct location this location but UHaul in general messed up and won't make it right. Once they sent the pickup at a particular location email it should have been guaranteed but nope it wasn't and they didn't let me know about the change properly.Brian D.

Terrible customer service, I called and asked that I would need more time than I had originally requested and I was told in exact words " ummm no" stating that it would be inconveniencing the customer who has it next. Once I arrived late no one was waiting and she was very rude for no apparent reason. Wouldn't recommend this location at all.Jamar P.

I had a reservation & already paid ahead of time. I still had paperwork to fill out when I got there and unnecessary time wasted over an hour and a half before getting the uhual truck. They connected the trailer incorrectly to the truck as well and my car almost flipped. The brake lights on the trailer did not work. They were closed at 2pm that day so I couldn't even get a replacement and had to risk leaving for my move the next day with no brake lights. The woman that took care of my reservation was nice but needs more experience and possibly another employee there as well instead of 1 person working.Tonianica F.

Trailer was damaged. It fishtailed. The trailer shorted something out my brake lights. Cost me over 300 in repairs. The running lights on the side lit up when I hit the brake. I couldn't drive any faster than 45mph. It almost dragged me off the road more times than I can count. My 8 hr trip turned into 18 hours because of the faulty equipment I rented. I'll never use this company EVER again.JAMES D.

I would Not recommend calling this rental facility. The computer was so slow on both occasions that we had to go through the paperwork that is was not worth the time it took to do so, When I called central reservations, the phone prompts did not work, and I repeatedl,y had to try to get to an incorrect prompt to actually get forwarded to the correct person to complete the transaction. That reservation process went faster on the central computer, however that reservation was lost when I was not there at pickup to verify it was okay to put the funds hold on my credit card. I have had rentals through other agencied and competitors that proceeded much more smoothly.SHEILA A.
