The location was GREAT! However, this is the second time I've had trouble with the app. It kept asking me for the picture to verify the mileage and gas levels and even after allowing access through my phone, it wouldn't advance to snap the photo. Tried rebooting. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling... same issue.Gilbert C.
The oil looked like it had not been changed in s while. The windshield wipers ripped during a rainstorm streaked badly, had to replace them the next day. ( rained the whole day) The gas engine sounded like a diesel, put Lucas additive and it settled down. ( Most likely sticky valves) Rented for round trip from Monkey storage but location changed for pick up. When they ( the new location) input information it changed to one way. I kept getting calls from California as to where to drop it off, I was starting and ending in Lubbock Texas.DANIEL V.

Improve customer service. My reservation originally was cancelled by uHaul because they couldn't get a 26' truck even when I reserved it 5 days in advance. If it weren't for me calling uHaul in Friday, the day before I was supposed to get the truck, I would have shown up to the location and would have been left with no truck to move. This would have been catastrophic for me as my wife and I had requested the weekend off to move. Each time I called uHaul, my average wait time was 22 minutes. I'm so thankful I don't move a lot.DARIN M.

Check engine light was on when I picked it up. Office personnel said the engine light was on from previous renter and had no problems. Engine was idling rough but gladly I made the 320 miles to home without any problems.DANNY B.

They ended up giving us a smaller size truck then what we requested. Then when I got there they then informed me they didn't have the appliance dolly I ordered. So had to rent one from Home Depot. They were nice and understanding when we were 20min late though. Tiny parking lot and unsure how you would return a truck after hours though!Christopher C.
This is the second time I rented from this place! I should have learned my lesson the first time but it is convenient to my home so I tried it again! The personnel are extremely rude, without compassion, and do not consider the customer! I will NEVER rent from them again and this is a very bad image for uhaul! I picked up a truck at 4:00 and the office personnel selected for me to have it back by 9:30 the next morning (at the time I picked it up, I was agreeable ) however, the next morning, some last minute things came up and I needed to be a little late (10ish) I was told that was not acceptable and that I had to have it back at 9:30am or I would be charged!! I thought I rented the truck for a 24 hr period but she informed me that someone else was coming to pick it up!!! So I rushed and got it there by approximately 9:35! I believe that someone is overbooking and renting trucks on other customers time! Now that I have gone over this again in my mind, I am appalled at how I was treated! Please understand, I use uhaul at least 3-4 times a year but, perhaps, I will rethink that! I don't like to be bullied!poni C.

I had no idea that I wasn't returning my uhaul to an actual uhaul store. They had a tiny trailer out by the street, but otherwise it felt very odd to drop off the truck at a storage facility. Plus when I dropped it off, I asked for a receipt and the lady said I would get one in my email in about 2 hours when she entered it in the system. That was very unsettling. About 4 hours later I got a call asking when I was going to return the uhaul and I told y'all I turned it in several hours ago- but apparently the lady still hadn't entered it in the system yet. I don't like leaving without a receipt. Especially when I'm not leaving it at an actual uhaul store. That experience was a little frustrating and made me very uneasy. It worked out though.shelley H.

We were told to bring the truck to the central Lubbock drop off and it wouldn't take the truck, not very pleased with that and then being charged for the extra miles. I won't be going back there.Angela M.

check the vehicle that is leased before the customer arrives to pick up. the check engine light was on when i started the truck and then i had to switch it out by driving to the next closest location. This caused me to get delayed by 2 hours.Olga L.

A charge of $14 for SafeMove was added to my bill, but I didn't request it.The Customer Service rep was extremely professional, nice, and cared to help me immediately. These ratings are based on A Storage Place in Lubbock only, NOT my overall rating of Uhaul as a company. I had reserved a 20ft truck for a one-way trip from Clovis NM to Lubbock TX, the day before my scheduled date I get a calling saying I can only get a 26ft truck and I'd have to pick that up in Portales NM (20mi from Clovis). If I'd wanted a 26ft truck I'd have reserved one, the location I was going to would not accommodate a 26ft truck. So my only other option was to pick up a 20ft truck in Lubbock, drive 100mi back to Clovis, load it and turn around and go 100mi back to Lubbock. If Uhaul can't guarantee that the truck you reserve will actually be available then why do they have a reservation system?Thomas G.

I was charged for a rental that I told the representative I no longer needed. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Spoke to a rep today and she tells me it was a completed rental. Not true. We used a Penske truck because the original rep told me one with U-Haul wasn't available for me for 3 days. I never even needed it for 9 hours. This is ridiculous. I swear to you.Lenisha R.
