There seemed to be some confusion with the use of the app. After I went through all the process using the app to check in I went in to retrieve the key per the instructions. Rather than just giving the key my license was taken pictures of again and it was attempted to log into their system to fill out more forms. I tried to show them the info on the app but was told they needed to do their part as well. When returning I parked per the instructions on the app. Again, I was told that is not how it is done at this location. Everyone was very nice and I would use them again but there seemed to be a disconnect between use of the app and what has to be done with them....but then maybe my understanding is off as well.

Truck was parked in mud and full of mud. Mobile check in did not save time. I still had to go in office and give Id and other info to agent. Location made me bag my own rental blankets.

Not charge $159, then insurance and a fill up close to $230 when I had the truck back to drop off in six hours. I understand it’s two days. There should be options for less if back within in certain time or within certain mileage. If I’m using the full two days yes, but there needs to be money given back for having it back in six hours.

The problem wasn’t with the place I picked it up, it was with the Uhaul employee that booked my order. I contacted Uhaul to reserve a tow dolly and in that conversation I confirmed the location on the phone with the Uhaul associate. I drove 6 miles only to discover they don’t do one way rentals. The representative on the phone should have had that information and provided it t to me! I then had to drive 16 miles to pick it up at a different location and 12 more miles back to where I was staying. I contacted Uhaul and turned in a formal complaint and was told that someone would contact me about my complaint. Today begins day 4 with no response! Im not impressed!

When I reserved the truck online it said I could pick up at 8 am. The attendant in the store told me that no, I can’t pick it up until 9 am. I then proceeded to do the online pickup using my phone. When I got to where it told me to pick up my key, she still was reluctant but I insisted and she gave it to me. She then wanted a picture of my license and credit card which I reluctantly agreed to so she now has a pic of the front and back of my license and credit card on an unsecured phone. This was a stressful and difficult pick up.

I have never visited a U-Haul location and could not make a walk-in reservation (EVER). I had to travel quite a distance to get there and do the same thing the next morning in hopes a 26-foot would be available. Glad I arrived in time. Also, it would be nice if the cost of mileage is posted. Public knowledge of rates gives a good feeling of honest business transactions. My recommendation to friends would be to inquire about the cost.

Had some system issues when I first got there the staff seemed unsure how to resolve initially but about 20minutes later everything worked and I had no issues. Would highly recommend this location for ease of getting rental and return.

Do you research before you rent from uhaul. What they dont tell you is they will run your credit card information but not charge you anything that day. If you have a friend pick up your truck for you they will get their credit card information & chatge every thing to your friends card. Shady as all.

The actual location was fine. Problem is, it was almost an HOUR from where I requested to pick my truck up from and I was charged for a 2-day rental when in all actuality, I only had the truck for about 24 hours from pickup to drop off.

We arrived at the drop off location closest to our home (as we were advised was acceptable) at about 12:30 AM. The location was closed and we attempted to use the online service to document our drop off. It did not work so we took a picture of the fuel gauge which was at a quarter of a tank, as it should be, and the mileage, which was two miles over. The next day we were charged $49.88, and the Uhaul rep reported that we only had an eighth of a tank of gas remaining, despite the picture we sent. He was unwilling to provide a refund. We should have only been charged the $0.80 for the two miles overage. Unacceptable!

The worker didn’t use the register to print me a receipt for boxes and blankets, he used an old accounting machine next to the register. I returned the next day because I forgot to ask for a receipt and when I tried to obtain a receipt, he told me it was too late, I should have asked yesterday. I called U-Haul corporate, spoke to a Woman and she didn’t see the receipt in the system so she called the location and couldn’t get the guy to produce a receipt either and she told me she’d call me back Monday the 5th of August with the receipt. I’m still waiting for that call and that receipt. I also tried to return the packing blankets to the gentleman at the rental facility and when calculating how much money I was due back, he changed the rates to try and reimburse me less. I had to argue with him for 20 minutes to get the appropriate amount of money back. The U-Haul had bottles in it, as well as plenty of dirt when I picked it up.

I though I rented the trailer for a 24 hour period. I pick up the trailer at 10:15 am on 8/15/2019 and I returned the trailer at 8:30 pm on 8/15/2019 and was charge for second day. The place of business was closed when I got there. I called today and man said I was later returning but only used the trailer for 10 hours not a full 24 hours. I will not be back. Thank You

I've rented from Uhaul a few times in the past month. Sometimes I choose the safe trip insurance. This time I did not. But when I returned the rental, I saw that I was charged for the safe trip insurance. I asked about it and the gentleman at the 360 Express Mart very politely explained to me that I did opt for the insurance (even though I didn't) and that I would have to contact Uhaul to get it removed. I think that it is very dishonest for Uhaul to charge me for something that I did not want. Hopefully I will not need any moving equipment for a while. If I do, I plan on taking my business elsewhere.

I would not recommend this location or ever patronize it again. Mr. Patel was unfriendly, unprofessional, and not helpful at all. I spent three hours at the location on the phone with Uhaul representatives because he refused to assist me. He could benefit from a few classes on customer service, sexism, and etiquette in the workplace.

26' truck we reserved was not available when we showed up with our movers; had to take smaller one and then pay one mover to take excess in his personal truck; paid more for this than we paid to Uhaul; very bad experience -- what's the point of a reservation???

Even though they were very busy and the lady was alone, she did a good job at helping everyone and she corrected my "dual" reservation that somehow was created at Uhaul online. I'll return here when I need Uhaul again.

We had to drive over an hour away to pick up the truck and over a half hour to drop it off! We were told we could pick it up in Hopewell Va but had to drive over an hour to a different location to Franklin Va. pick it up! Then- we were told we could drop it off in Crewe Va; but when we got there to drop it off; we were told we had to drive it over a half hour away to Mosely Va! I had reservrd the truck over a month before the rental date! Truck and location should have been set! We were inconvienced and all of our help was as well. Horrible service! Why reserve ahead of time when we couldn't pick up and drop off at the places we had reserved?!!! Horrible experience!!!

I used the online reservation option and am immensely disappointed.I have rented uhauls in Michigan and always had good experiences. Ever truck rented in Michigan had driver's seats that were able to raise and lower to accommodate the size of the driver. I am 5'2" if I am lucky. This truck did not have the option of raising the seat. I was not able to see without sitting on a pile of folded beach towels. I will not be using your online services again. I will also be making sure I request a truck with a driver's seat that can be raised.

Lady at the store gave me paper work in Spanish, she said she didnt have anything in English. She didnt know how to use the system. Truck went 20 miles and I loaded it full and went to start it and it wouldn't start. I jumped the truck and went a half of mile and it kept kicking out of gear. I opened hood and the transmission fluid and oil was almost empty. I called roadside immediately. After delaying me several hours I got to drive the truck to my new location. Next day I needed to move truck to unload and it wouldn't start and I couldn't jump it. Service guy came and the positive cable on the battery wasnt even connected. This experience was miserable and very inconvenient. $240 and all these issues and delays. I was told by customer service management was going to call me and nobody has called. I deserve a refund.

This is a comment for Uhaul and not the location. I wanted a truck closer to my house but was given one 15 miles from house. At the end, I was 16 miles over the limit. The pickup location was not in the general direction of either my home or the intended end location.

You can't. I was overcharged for the rental. My rental agreement was in Spanish, I was told to sign and initial but wasn't explained the contract and was told I ask for insurance when I did not. A bunch of crooks. I would never rent there ever and would not recommend anyone.

I originally was to rent from a facility close to where i needed the equipment. Someone changed that to a facility that caused me to have to travel over one hour to return your equipment; why?

A third of the way into my trip the check engine light came on. I called back to this location to report it and the store owner told to "go ahead" to my destination and "tell the technician there". Customer service is dead! The fact he his English is very poor didn't help. He seemed friendly enough but it was obvious that he wasn't to do anything but the bare essentials to complete this business transaction. The truck I rented was parked straddling a concrete parking block, the passenger window was left down(and it had been raining the night before) and the storage compartment had not been swept.

I was charged for two days on a single day rental. We offered to return the same day and was told don’t worry just have it back around 9am the next day. We had to manually carry and push the trailer into a parking space and then was charged for two days. I’m furious as we never intended to rent for two days and my husband who is a disabled veteran strained his back lifting a 12’ trailer into a parking space

I returned the trailer on a Sunday night after closing, as I was told that I could. My paperwork shows that I turned it in at 8:41 the following morning (picked up at 8:09 4 days earlier), so I was charged for an additional day due to the 32 minute overage (when in fact I returned it the night before).

This location was recommended by u haul to return the truck. We swept the back, returned it at 1/2 tank (we were given it less than a 1/4) and folded the used blankets in the truck. When we went inside to return the keys the lady behind the counter said very flatly “keys” and that was it. Later we discovered we were charged a cleaning fee for the truck and when we called to inquire a gentleman was very rude and cussed at us. He first said it was in the contract to not only fold the blankets but put in a bag and bring into his gas station. He continued to argue with us on the phone and ended up hanging up on us. We called back and asked for a manager name and he wouldn’t give it to us. That’s when he started cussing and telling us we were wasting his time and that he wasn’t going to clean our shit- (his words). We asked him to let us know where in the contract it stated all items should be bagged and brought inside but he was unable to. This is the worst customer service we have encountered. When asked about the bagging of clean vs dirty pads he said he didn’t care about and to call U Haul. After 2 calls with customer service the charges were reversed.

Even with a reservation placed a month ahead of time, it still took me 45 minutes to pick up the truck. It felt pointless to order it online at all, as I had to basically do it in person all over again. Returning the truck was even more tedious. Despite me parking it exactly where I picked it up, the owner of the gas station insisted I move it right next to the pump, "because it would open up the area for future pickups." In reality, I believe the guy didn't want to have to move the truck himself and just fed me this line as an excuse. In addition, I was told I had to fold the moving blankets "Or I would be charged extra." Again, I think the guy just didn't want to do it so made up this story to get me to do his job. Oh, and it took another 45 minutes to get checked out. This is the 3rd time I've rented a U-Haul, and all three times I've regretted the decision. Never again.

First of all the person at the store was not trained to do Uhaul and had to call the owner I guess. After waiting for 30+ minutes he finally helped me. Secondly, I put the recommended amount of fuel in based on the contract. It was at the same fuel level as when I picked it up. He said it was an 1/8 of a tank short so I was being charged an additional $12. I challenged him he said “that’s what my computer says.” “Come with me I show you.” I drove the damn truck I know what the fuel gauge read. He had to keep taking his glasses on and off so you mean to tell me he could notice and 1/8 on a fuel gauge?! This is BULL SHIT. I turn the truck in a day early. I didn’t expect a refund. He can rent the truck again. He should have done the right thing. There is no wrong time to do the right thing. Let’s see if someone at Uhaul will do the right thing.

This location is the worst of the worst. I turned in my dolly in i took forever to get in checked in because the guy does not know how to do u haul. I also turned in a trailer when i did that the lady working didn't know her u haul job either. I checked it in myself. When i took the 26 ft truck back he charged me for extra miles which happened when i had to go to different location to get the truck, he also charged me for gas when the tank was sitting on 1/2 where it needed to be. He spoke with his AFM in a foreign language so I could not understand what they was saying. I told him to speak English if he was going to talk about me and my return. He expected me to bag the blankets(they were folded his job to bag) I had taken a picture of mileage and gas when i got to this location. They charged my card without telling me they was charging me. I called u haul and i told them all the issues i have had with this location. I got all my money back plus $50.00. I would go out of my way before i ever use this location.
