They did not check if the vehicle was returned in the morning instead, they charge me for a full day when I return the vehicle a day prior

Rental was done completely by the phone. No worries. Side business of some dance studio. Truck rental was fine. We accidentally put the keys in the cab instead of the back box. They don't have a spare key. They told me I'm responsible to hire a locksmith and get the key out of the cabin. They will charge me every day until I give them back the key. No spare keys? I called U-Haul roadside assistance and they sent out a person to unlock the truck. Something that the owner of the U-Haul dealership at this location could have done. Instead she decided to be nasty and threatening. Based on her attitude with this issue I would not recommend this location for rental. I'm logging a complaint with the regional manager. Hopefully they loose their dealership. They don't deserve it. Also after the main business opens you can't reach them by phone. I called 5 times not a single answer. I'm reading all the other reviews now. I should have done that before I rented. Thank you to everyone that posted about them charging for multiple days or several times. Now I know I have to watch my statement. Good thing I used AMEX. They always have my back.

DAVID Gmy dollies that i payed for were not present in my rental, and the lady i spoke to on the phone was rude and said “oh well” and that they were. i was still charged for them. then i had to drive all over town to find a place that had one, which added miles onto my drive in the uhaul which is ended up having to pay for. i’m not happy and will not be using uhaul ever again.

David BThere too expensive. Had the U-Haul near me had the trailer i needed , i would've only been charged $60 + tax for round trip. Their charges with taxes $211. Which is ridiculous , and one way. I feel you should refund me the difference of $140 !!!!
Susi PAfter returning the truck after hours, my credit card was being charged for 7 days because the local rental place did not check it in. It took me two calls to get the local manager to check in the truck. Furthermore, based on the odometer reading (after the 7 days) I received a I for 52 miles and 8 gallons of fuel even though returned the truck with a full tank and did not drive for more than 10 miles. This feels like a scam. I will not be using UHaul again and will advise others accordingly.
Artem SFirst off I had pick up at 8 am. No one there. I called ma,y times no answer. Finally after 9 am someone comes in I get through the check in and they bring my truck 15 ft to front then it says going for service. Are you kidding me? Thats wrong. Why was I able to choose it if it was going for service? So I was stuck there. Had to take 10 ft. I lived with it. But very wrong. I needed the 15 ft. This place was not proper uhaul. Had construction going on then kids started coming in. With construction. It was they worst experience I have ever had at uhaul. I will use another rental truck next time. I didnt get what I wanted. They did nothing to get me what I wanted.
Judith VThe billing rate communicated to me was not correct. I was told two times that the fee would be $19.99 for the truck rental and $0.99 per mile. I told the U-haul representative the I was picking the truck up in Lake Worth, FL and returning it to St. Augustine, FL. I inquired about the cost of my contract showing a higher rate and was told that this would be taken care of when I drop off the truck. The higher amount was a hold on my credit card in case there were any issues. I inquired of this when I dropped the vehicle off in St. Augustine and was told that I was given incorrect information by the person that I took delivery of the truck from. I should have been told that this was not an in town use of the vehicle and that I would be charged a higher rate. I do not believe that this is a good way to treat a customer and I will be contacting my credit card company as a formal complaint. I find this very disappointing as I would not have rented the truck originally if I knew this information.

Oderson COrdered a dolly and did not get. Customer service solution was for me to drive one hour away to get one horrible customer service. As soon as I got in truck showed on dash tire low on air when I got home there was a nail in the tire and a chunk of rubber missing. Asked to be refunded for the dolly I did not get and was told I needed to go back to the store which was closed when I was there at 430 they said they are supposed to be open till 8. Again horrible service and even worse customer service trying to resolve a problem that was your fault
joe pThe pick up process was a disaster! Not the fault of the pick up location, it's the U-HAUL sysytem.
John TThe return required photos section is terrible.The dark shadowed in area does not allowed you to see/read what photo to take, and with the sum it's impossible to see what is on the screen. I had to retake photos numerous times!
Fernando GUhaul in general ended up helping with an absolutely horrible day. First off we get to the location and they're closed , call owners and she answers saying let me get the door unlocked then hangs up. 4 calls , knocking on back and front door and 90 min later we finally got our truck. 5 ft smaller then originally purchased so had to take multiple trips unfortunately. Countless texts and calls to the uhaul 1-800 numbers I got a truck but waiting 90 min and having to take a smaller truck in the heat was horrible. Like I said uhaul overall great service , this location absolutely rediculous and unprofessional. Will never use this location again or recommend to anyone. Had to pay double for miles and received zero discounts for my hassle/ waste of time.
Ronald EWhen I arrived at facility in the middle of a Saturday, the facility was closed. The truck I rented was locked and inaccessible. I did everything online and the app would not provide location services. Once I stopped using the app and started using the website, things worked online. However, the truck was still locked even though I was able to check in online, I still could not drive away. I had to wait for the owner to open the office and provide me a key. I will never do that again.
Jim WThe manager wasn't there when he needed to be there for my reservation. There was another girl that was trying to do his job and she was frustrated because it wouldn't let her go to the next page. In the meantime she tried calling him on and texting him and he did not pick up the phone or answer her back. She was amazing. She did an amazing job, but I was very upset because he wasn't there.
Sheila VTruck was very dirty and had a '6 miles to empty' message. I requested another truck but only a smaller size was available. Also, I waited over 30 minutes to see an employee. However, the replacement truck was clean and had enough gas to work with.

Marco AThey overcharged for items we never rented/used (doley, blankets, added insurance, etc) & after repeated calls never call back to resolve the issue. Finally had to call corporate to get the charges fixed but disappointing nonetheless it took this much effort. Recommend using another location if at all possible.

When i called to ask for the picture, IT WAS FULL LIKE I HAD RETURNED IT AS SO WHY WOULD THEY CHARGE MY CARD THAT!!! I still have yet to hear from the manager. My experience was completely unacceptable!!!! I need my refund ASAP!!!
Dominique AI used the 10' truck for two hours and only went 20mi. no Insurance,pad, dollys or other extras. was charged $23.48 which was correct then saw that Uhaul charged a second invoice for another $113.94. I kept calling Uhaul to rectify the situation only to have them put me on hold for 20 min. and never come back to the phone. They did this three times. No resolution! Had to have my bank issue a dispute. I will never use Uhaul again.

Marcin SThis establishment shouldn't be a Uhaul dealer. 1. They were not open at 9am as it states on the Uhaul confirmation 2. Arrived at the location at 9:45 am. Waited until 10am (our reservation time) called the establishment 3 times. They were closed. We didn't leave until 10:30 am. 3. Horrible customer service. They weren't aware of our reservation. 4. This dealer gives Uhaul a bad name and you should reconsider the partnership 5. The dolly we had in our reservation was not there. Uhaul said I need to call them back for a refund. Called twice. No answer. The owner told me to text them versus call which I did, no answer. Not a great way to start an already hectic move.
