Please do not change a customers booking on the day of the move. It doesn't matter if it is a â€œpreferredâ€ booking with no guarantees. I booked the UHaul over a month before my moving date, so at the very least UHaul should have made sure the van was where I reserved it, or have a plan in place to cause less inconvenience to the client when something doesn't go as planned. You shouldn't make such a large change less than 2 hours before the scheduled move, especially when it is in the morning. I had movers scheduled to meet me at the house. The reservation system was also causing delays, and as a result of that, I was late to meet my movers and UHaul did not do anything to make up for the inconvenience. You could have provided me with free padding or a discount or something to help me with the inconvenience and extra cost you caused. The customer service was also strange, with the workers not apologizing once for the inconvenience when I called to ask why, and when the system wasn't working, the booking agent yelled a few times at me that I have to be back by 3 (even though your reservation system was the cause for the delay), And she said that if the van won't dispatch, â€œyou're not taking itâ€. These were her words, which was unprofessional and quite rude. To tell me that I couldn't take the van if YOUR system wasn't working, showed me she wouldn't go out of her way to fix an issue that was UHauls. If the van didn't dispatch and I missed my moving date, that would have been incredibly awful for me, and with the service I received I am not confident at all that I would have been taken care of if things did not go as planned. I had to pay for the extra 15 miles to the new pickup location, which could have been another cost covered by UHaul as an act of good customer service after changing the location on the day of the move. In the future, I will be looking for another truck rental company, because a company with this stature and experience should really know and do better.Zahra H.

The rate that they charged to my credit card was different from the one that the employee told me was going to be registered, I feel that they were not honest with the charge, at that time I said to the employee about this charge, she said that she could not do anything and I have to speak directly with U-haul, you are not a company to recommend, unfortunately I will not recommend you with my family or friends or the company where I'm working.CARLOS C.

Christine hepled me when checking in because I was not sure how to use the phone checkin- and she was so helpful- even getting all of the other cars dropping off/picking up trucks to park so as to keep it the easisest for everyone- she took the time for everyone. Also booking with the individuals on the phone from Uhaul, including Kayla, (and I think Jessica?!) and were all helpful with the many questions I had as I had not rented a truck before. The checkout on the phone was complicated and took three of us to figure out, but otherwise the customer servicewas very kind! ¡Gracias!Claudia P.
The truck I rented had no A/C even though it was equipped with A/C. When you moving a bunch of stuff, it's kind of nice to cool off while you driving. Kind of disappointed that the A/C was not working in this truck.BRAD P.

I had a LOT of trouble returning boxes that I purchased at this location. I was told that I had to return them at the main U-Haul location on Clarke Road. But when I drove completely across town to the Clarke Road location, I was then told that there was a problem with how the transaction happened and I was only able to get in-store credit for my boxes. Then when I asked for the in-store credit on the day of my actually renting the truck from this location, there was some kind of problem with the calculation and I ended up getting $10 less than I thought I deserved. All-in-all, returning boxes that I purchased at this location was a huge headache.Dwight B.

Email I received as confirmation gave me a different address for picking up my equipment. My email stated SSS detailing, it was at wonderland mini storage. I then showed up 5 minutes early to go through the process so I would be able to leave on time as I had a time limit for picking up my items. I stood outside for about 20 minutes before being given a code, which then didn't work, because I had been told the wrong pick up location. I called to figure out what was going on and the man on the phone was very rude and snarky. The only good thing about this experience was that the truck was clean. I'll never be using uhaul again.Shayna P.

The worse experience ever .she first gave a truck that totally unsafe for drive at all and when I returned back to her to change it she was very angry and yelling at me that I will Cher get you the miles you drove . The second one was also bad ,when I returned back I topped it by gas that costed me 20 dollar in only 20 miles drive .i told her about that she smiles at me said it not economic.but I think she lied and the truck was not topped before I receive itAdel E.

I'm very disappointed in returning the truck. The location that I booked to return the truck didn't have enough space to park the truck so I had to go to another one. That should not be on the customer. U-haul should have to deal with that. Because of that I wasted 45 minutes of my time and missed an appointed that I had to be at. I've used u-haul many times and After this experience with the truck return I probably won't use u-haul again.Angelo D.

Staff at the counter struggle with my rental Took about 45 minutes to get going Once I got the truck, it was in very bad condition Extremely loud (I had to buy ear plugs). And horrible gasoline smell Call the 1-800 number, was on hold for 45 minutes before line cut off. Sent an online request for road side assistance -no one ever contacted me. I have to say, this was an terrible experience from the get go and will most likely never use U-haul again!Jon F.

It took 30 minutes to reserve due to computer issues in making the reservation on my visit July 10th. I confirmed on line and did not risk identity theft by sending my picture. I objected to your online picture sending of my drivers licence but was given no choice, although your online site says optional. No server is 100%. secure. On the pick uo although completed online it took about 35 minutes to complete the pickup.... The people are great, the computer tools suck or training provided. I object to my driver's license image being on a server. I want ti removed as our business is completed. Will you delete my driver license image. Please confirm. Presenting it at the pickup location for verification should be enough. Identity theft is no joke and has happened to two family members. It creates years of havoc. Your server will be hacked as all other have... To protect the customer the image data shoulld be deleted after successful rental and return and final payments cleared. I wouldn't recommend UHaul at all because I booked online for a pickup at a specific location - 479 Highbury Ave London - and received a phone call the day before telling me I would have to pick it up here instead, 20 km away, taking 20 km away from my allowed kms and taking nearly an hour of my time. Additionally, the truck only had 1/8 of a tank of gas and I am required to return ti with the same amount of gas. How is anyone supposed to guess exactly how much gas they should pump into a vehicle they have never driven before to bring the tank to exactly 1/8th??? The vehicle should have a full tank so that it can be filled and returned. Ridiculous all around! The only good thing I can say is that the woman at the desk here was very nice.Scott P.

The new return policy using my phone increases my day by at least 15minutes. I typically make sure all is clean when leaving the drop off location. Taking the pictures, several times when trying to return after sunset, the flash becomes a guess whether to turn it on or off, is a pain. It's much easier to drop the keys and walk away. I understand that the truck may be rented again with no attendant but I went through the whole procedure and put the keys in the drop box anyways, so it seems I did it for, well, nothing. Shout out to the staff at this location, they are always very friendly and helpful.Andrew S.
