Have the staff informed with the rules and regulations on renting Trailer. after I signed and rented the trailer during hookup. I was delayed because they did not want to rent me a trailer due to the 35 inch tire size of my jeep. I explained that I had my own tie downs and they still told me U-Haul would not rent or cover the insurance if I did not use the two tire straps supplied. I Was walked back to the office to read through the documentation from the website on renting trailers. Once they read what I knew they allowed me to continue with loading my Jeep. this cost me a Hour delay in getting back on the road.

Don't go here for the Uhaul... both trailers they had did not have functional lights and they said it was my truck, so we put the trailer plug tester on my truck just too prove it was their trailers. Both employees were rude and seemed bothered they actually had too do something. There back parking lot where they keep the trailers was full of debris and trash, and I got a piece of metal in my tire from there.

The Uhaul steering wheel shook so bad when I was driving on the freeway. I don't feel that it was safe enough to be driven on the freeway at all. I drove around 45 to 50 mph in the slow lane. Cab of the UHaul was dirty, steering wheel was gross and sticky.

I was not provided with the furniture pads I paid for, I was told I could go into the store and ask for them but when you are on a time limit any delays is money wasted.

The extra equipment I ordered was not in the truck. The self check in took and hour and the directions on the app did match the help desk we had to call and wait 15 minutes on hold. When he did answer he was helpful, but if the correct information was on the app we would not have had to wait. The store said they did not know they extra equipment was even ordered! I am still waiting for a refund on the dolly, furniture cart and moving blankets. You need to do more work to get this system working properly because it is a mess!

I drove over 1200 miles round trip and the truck was dependable in our move. However, I needed to clean the inside of the windshield and wipe down the entire cab.

The self check out was a nightmare. So confusing on where we where supposed to pick up and drop off because one set of instructions said We were supposed to get it from the location in in mentor, Ohio but then it was moved to willoughby. And when we looked at drop off instructions, it said we were supposed to drop off at Manor location. We wasted a lot of time driving back-and-forth between the two locations. Unfortunately we were an hour late and our order got canceled. It added much undue stress and I would never do the self check out again!

My concern is that I was charged extra for gas. I actually put more gas in than what the vehicle had when I picked it up. But the tank level on my contract differed from what was in the van when I got it. I never had a chance to confirm this when I rented but I did take a photo.

While I was doing the online return for the truck, an older gentleman came up to me and told me to give him the key to the truck so he could clean it. He was not wearing any identifying clothing for U-Haul or for the hardware store. I told him I was doing the online return, but he persisted that I should give him the key. I told him I didn't feel comfortable giving him the key because I don't know him, and the truck is my responsibility. He got a bit crabby and explained that if he weee going to steal something it wouldn't be a U-Haul truck. I told him that after I finished my online return, I'd go into the store to confirm it was ok to give him the key. He said fine, but continued to explain that he would steal something worth more, and that the people in the store would just tell me to give him the key. I finished my return on my phone, and went into the store to confirm at the U-Haul desk that it was ok to give the older man in the parking lot to clean the truck. They guy at the desk confirmed it was ok to give him the key to clean the truck instead of placing in the drop box. I just feel it was inappropriate to be approached in the parking lot by someone not wearing a U-Haul shirt to hand over the key to the truck when I was just starting to do the online return. Then he got all indignant when I didn't trust him. It just didn't make me feel very comfortable as a woman in a parking lot being approached by a strange man. The truck was clean and in good repair. No issues with that part of the rental.

Location was not the closest, but it was the one that had the vehicle I wanted. Vehicle was great for what I needed...dirty on inside and out. I was assured that it was sanitized, but I had to clean the windshield on the inside when I got home in order to see clearly.

The truck leaked water in several places and was very dirty inside. There was a steam running from the front to the back of the truck and all of my couches and bedding got wet and dirty from the floor which had a layer of mud on it. The ABS light was on the entire time also. We had to make several trips because of the leaks and couple stack anything on the floor. It was a terrible experience all around and the truck should be taken out of service.

They lied about the gas left in the vehicle. I made a mistake by NOT taking a photo of the amount of gas I left in the vehicle so I cannot prove it was the same as when I took it. I also made a mistake by letting the man that ran out when I parked it take over instead of staying and making sure all items were correct before leaving. I assumed they would be honest as I have used uhaul MANY TIMES in the past and had no issue. I will not use this location ever again.
