dale m. | Overall ExperienceMake sure customers know that you have to complete the on line form to get a code to open the box. I was unclear on this and thought I could just go in and get the keys. I never received a code after I completed the process and I had to call the 800 # to get the code.
Gary E.The mobile app was broken and caused a massive delay in getting the truck. Had to call the helpline and wait on hold for 30 minutes before someone answered. I got the truck over 1 hour late which caused problems with the movers who were scheduled to be at my place at a certain time. Not a reliable service and the last thing you need to go wrong on moving day.

Mel W.Please take into account the position of the truck when checking the gas amount in the tank. If the truck is parked on the slope, the gas level sensor may indicate a way higher level than it really is. This was the case with me. When picking up the truck the representative prompted me to sign a paper with 3/4 of gas tank, and I saw the same level when first started the engine. But when I drove the car out of its parking lot, the indicator gradually fell to the middle of the scale, showing that the tank is only half full. And, it really was only half full because I was able to fill almost 15 gallons of gas in the tank in the closest gas station right after picking up the truck (the full capacity of the 10' U-haul truck gas tank is 31 gallons). It means that initial statement of the representative was wrong.

Mairlyn L.My husband arrived to pick up our 15 foot truck and they claimed they called and left a message canceling our reservation. Who does that? There was no message left and even IF they did, what gives them the right to cancel our reservation. Not that it matters but this was being rented in order for us to pick up tables, chairs and cases of water for a community walk/run event that we put on for mental health awareness/suicide prevention. We are a 501c3 nonprofit and never once has U-haul offered us a discounted rate or even just the use of a truck just to give back to the community like so many other businesses do when they find out what we are doing. Let ALONE cancel our reservation when we were counting on that truck to pick up all of our supplies. Terrible customer service.

I was sent to the opposite of the city, which didn't have my order to have a confirmation completely east to go further north then finally back to one in the neighborhood I reside. It took over an hour to do this & several gallons of gas!! I hope you have your act together for the charges, as you did it for 3 days and I had it for one. Please confirm the correction in the rental charge and I would suggest you get your act together on the reservation side. It was a thoroughly poor and frustrating experience. I also suggest you look at the method of making them, as it is not working! Fortunately, the personnel in each location was most helpful!

I had to put in $16 to get it close, and the gas gauge barely moved. 31 miles should not use that much gas... I told the Uhaul person and it appears I'm out of luck so I just spent way more than I should have....

Ron P.Trailer wasn't clean. For such a large trailer, there should be a jack provided. This could easily cause injury or property damage. Personnel didn't know how to operate the trailer and provided 0 support. I called owner and asked him to return my call. Didn't call me back.
jeff L.The staff did not know how to even put a discount on the contract. They had to call Uhaul multiple times and still couldn't figure it out. They failed to inform me that we would be paying a deposit for the rental. And now it will take a week to get the refund back from Uhaul. It's also funny that Uhaul says that they have no management or supervisors. This was a military move for me and the WORST experience I have ever had. I will not use Uhaul AGAIN!
JAMES Z.What a joke of a company. Talk about how to nickle and dime and learn from UHaul. First off I don't know how the hell you get away with advertising $19.99 and charge close to $200. Second we never actually got a dolley but got charged to a missing dolley? I will absolutely never use this company again. I would rather pay a million dollars for another moving company that get ripped off by such a waste of a company.

Brandon B.Blankets were not perfectly folded and we were told we could get charged for them. Said we would fold right there on the spot. Employee said its no big deal, she would fold them later that night. Thanked her and left. 3 days later we got charged $25 for unfolded blankets. Please don't say you are going to do something and then not do it. I would have spent 5 minutes to fold them if I knew you were not going to do it.
James L.I paid for the rental online in full. When I picked up the trailer I was told there was a balance of three dollars and some change. I was not happy about this additional unannounced and unexplained charge. It's not about the three dollars, it's about feeling mislead and the clerk didn't even know our understand what it was about which put then I a bad spot. It's very unprofessional and I expected more from company who has been doing this a long time. It's seems shady, get your act together!
